    Thank you for this recipe! I'm American, married to a traditional Yoruba man lol. I have made egusi, but always fry it. I am preparing to try your way as soon as the baby wakes so I can blend!

    Sister, immediately I saw you, I knew you're my yoruba sister. So in like 5 seconds into the video, I liked you're video. Then you showed me the receipe i have been looking for since like forever done in the yoruba way, I immediately subscribed.. you definitely got the (lumpy egusi soup - yoruba version). This is the exact receipe I am trying.
    And to those saying the salt was a lot, that's a lie because she put all her seasoning towards the end of her cooking time.
    Nice job.. well done👍👍

    It looks nice but I fear that it looks like you added too too much salt considering that you'd already added a somewhat salt-consistent chicken stock cube/condiment.
    Anyway each to their own. It looks tasty. Well done

    OMG 😂😂😂 😂 how I am happy to find your channel, from watching African movies I always said I have to eat what you are eating one day, I long to learn how to make this soup what is egusi I am living in Guyana 🇬🇾, I only know of fufu by pounding the plantain and cassava but those older people are no more, so I learned how to use a blender and stove, I now need to make the soup, and watch my African movies lick my fingers OMG sweet

      Egusi is grounded melon seeds. see link images.app.goo.gl/nsZaU8gFtyLxZZLZ9. It's usually found in West Africa, especially Nigeria and it's their local food. Its very delicious when prepared well. Hope u find it and enjoy making it.

      Am so sorry, I didn't know the Pinned comment has been unpinned. I just pinned it back. The pinned comment includes the list of ingredients not measurement. I cant really say the measurement precisely. Am sorry

      I used Ugwu leave from Nigeria. You can actually use fresh spinach if you do not have ugwu leaves.

      This method is fast, consumes less oil and you can add more egusi and water before adding the oily stuff and seasoning if you think the soup is small. Thanks for so much sis🤗🤗🤗

    If you're cooking with goat meat, do you boil the meat separately first before boiling with pepper sauce?

    • @LuvMattazTV
      @LuvMattazTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Gabriel Kunle Yes, you have to boil the meat separately so it can be well seasoned. I will also advise that you add the goat meat after the Egusi has boiled and formed. Salt or oil from the meat might affect the egusi forming well.
