Hello from Powell, TN..I'm new here. I'm glad you posted this as I was afraid it was too late for winter squash. Yes, this heat and humidity is unbearable..and the biting insects don't help any either! 😕
Hi Tina ,I've tried growing Butternut for the last two years on a trellis in a container. They form beautifully and developed enough for a small meal. I just can't get them to keep growing. They get only so Big and just quite 😝. I'll watch yours grow LMBO xxz. JO JO IN VT 😆💕
Since you like and grow squash so much would you share some of your recipes? Sometimes I don't know how to prepare all of the squash.. I think I like to grow squash more than eat it. So if you would share some special recipes Maybe I would learn to like it more. Thanks. By the way I like the way you plant your squash.
I thought it was too late to plant butternut after the deer ate my spring planting. I have about 2 and a half months till frost here in NE Kansas. I guess I'll try it again. I will try to fence them off this time.
Love your show!! I am down in south ga. And I am wanting to plant in a big container (Container was used for minerals for cows, so it's big. How many seeds could I put in it. It's the round one.)

Good reminder to plant some! You take it easy in the heat and stay hydrated.
Love butternut squash and we have a bumper crop this year.
Looking forward to a fall harvest!
Our Butternuts started off slow but are taking off now. 12+ on the vine and
dozens of blossoms. 👍
Thanks for the reminder to plant winter squash! The heat has been hard to work in.
Sooo enjoy your Squash video!
You are wonderful!

QUESTION: If you had to estimate what your germination rate is for all your seeds what do you think it is? Thanks ahead of time
If your vines grow over the grass, how do you keep the grass cut?
I didn't know you can plant winter squash in the fall?
What zone are you?
