Want a super fast way to space your beets? 😆😆Use a baseball. It's the perfect size per beet. Make an indention with the baseball and drop 1 seed in the center. Perfect spacing every time. ☺
Most likely looking for moisture... You can try baiting the birds away from the garden by feeding and providing them water as far from the garden as possible...
I just know it's gonna be super amazing cuz everything you try does so good. You have a greener thumb than I do and mine is really good! I'm so happy everything is doing so good. Hope you get tons canned this year. Can you make some extra canning videos so that I might learn how to can stuff please?!
The squash are taking over, don't worry there will be plenty of beets for you, you will just re-plant until you get what you want. How did your tomatoes and corn do this year, let us know. Take care both of you Mark and Tina.
We are on our third heavy picking from the tomatoes, so they are doing GREAT... The corn, not so much... The sunflowers in with the corn did awesome though, so the chickens will be happy....
Hey Tina, is the Jobes supposed to disolve ? It's time too feed again and it looked like it hasn't broken down from last week😨. Your so lucky you can bumper crop 🐦. JO JO IN VT 😆💕
I just emptied a bin that had Jerusalem chokes. Plan to revive with black cow and some more soil. Getting ready for a bin of beets too! I like plain, pickled, cold beet soup, creamed beets. Haven't tried roasted so that's next! Where do you get the pelleted seeds from? That would be easier for me to grab (numb fingers).
So if you are planting beets in your zone which I think is 8, then when would be the best time to plant in zone 9a. I'm guessing first week in September? Still hitting 100 deg in Phoenix area.
Sounds like too much nitrogen... They need more phosphorus for root growth rather than top growth... Cut back the nitrogen, add some bone meal, and you should see better results...
Beets do well in our Super Soil and then follow up feedings are a little heavier on the bone meal (phos) which most root crops enjoy... The Super Soil recipe is in our gardening playlist !
Am I actually 1st? Love you guys. Is that little cutie in the beginning your grand daughter? She is adorable. Bet she's spoiled rotten by the two of you.

It will, but it also has a lot of filler... Go ahead and feed... We see the same thing here...

Thanks so much for watching !
That soil looks so rich! What gauge of metal was used?
They are EarthMark boxes from Home Depot online... Not sure of the gauge...
Rabbits? Maybe a fox terrier yard dog could help?
That sounds like a wonderful solution !

We are in Zone 7 I believe, but what we wait for is temps to trend more toward 85 than 90...
What did you use for deturnt against the rabbits
Scram... I found it at Lowes, but I am looking now for something better...
It's a nice problem to have, moving plant growth out of the way of new seeds.
It sure is !
Oh boy oh boy . Please Tina help me 🤣🤣 i can't grow beets for nothing. They start up great but then long necks and no roots !😳 what am i doing wrong ?

@@BumbleBeeJunction thank you Tina! You're a life saver! God bless! 🙏🏼

Ah yes, that is Ms Adalyn, one of our granddaughters ! She is also at the end, though much younger...
Im gonna throw a whole beet in my soil and see what happens. ..zone 7 September
From all that I watch beets seems to be fairly easy to grow but I have not acquired a taste for them nor exactly how to cook them.
Fast (to maturity) and easy, yes... I do have some videos on pickling them... They should be in the Canning playlist...
@@BumbleBeeJunction thank you!
