Awesome! I think it’s going to help some people. It’s not every way to use it…but it’s the ways that I have most commonly used it. I think it will be a help for sure. Also a LIVE tonight in the Instagram page talking about the suspension for the Project Maple Leaf build.

Dominion Offroad sells a nice mount for storing a high lift in the passenger compartment

That’s great to know! Mine has been on my hood for so long. Because I mostly keep it in the garage and don’t live in an area with a lot of rain..it works. But for others, keeping it out of the weather is definitely better.

Definitely going to check out mounting options before buying one. I think a rear bumper mount would be better for my needs. I bring a floor jack and some blocks now. Nothing but the stock jack for daily driving.

Depending on the uses…and that’s what it always comes down to. You obviously know that not everything is always right for everyone. I just think a lot of people don’t know how to use it.

I also have a Dominion mount. Mine’s been inside my Jeep for 6 years, no rust or mud. Minimal maintenance. I used it 2 days ago to change a flat.

I definitely think a hi lift Jack can be a useful tool, but only in very specific situations. Most times the things you can use a hi lift for, you can use something else instead and it’ll be much safer and more effective.
I think a big problem with them is most get them for the look. They think they look super cool and it’s just eye candy essentially. I’d bet 90% of people that have them have either never used them or don’t have a clue how to. And that’s where they get a bad stigma about them.
If you know how to properly use it in the right situation then it’s worth having. For me personally it is not. But obviously you know what your doing so it’s great to spread the knowledge and hopefully others that have them now have a better understanding and will get some good use out of them one day.

I agree with all of that. For me it doesn’t ot to carry different style jacks in addition to this one. This one works, always has, and is basically the Swiss Army knife of jacks. So it’s perfect for me..but only because I know how to use it. Like you said, lots of people don’t.

stopped carrying mine, never use it, waste of weight to carry it around, a bottle jack is much safer and easier to store in jeep, I have a winch mounted to the front of the Jeep. works way better. I am not a total hater, dont get me wrong, I just have found better ways to do what little it was doing.
Side note: if you put a strap around the axle and then to the frame, then use the jack on the bumper to lift the jeep, the tire comes off the ground, useful to change a tire. again a simple bottle jack is so much safer and easier to use.

Yea. But bottle jacks always wind up leaking. Not to mention there are other uses of the hi lift jack offroad other than jacking. I mention them in the video.

@@WarPaintOffroad yeah I heard it all. I watched the whole video. It didn't change my mind. I will carry my leaking bottle jack I guess
