How did you know you needed to change this gear oil? Did your golf cart make any sounds that told you it needed this? My Club Car is a 2000 DS, and I’m guessing it’s never been changed. Should I do it?
It was clattering in the unified transaxle. I figured a change of fluid couldn't hurt. It still makes the noise, I think the root cause is a bearing failure.
So you had a catch for the old oil, but didn't put something down for the new overflow? Hmmmm sir I like your style

When it's very quiet late at night, crawl under the back of the cart, and listen carefully. You will faintly hear......change my oil....change my oil.
I also have a 2000 DS electric. It probably has never been changed. I'm planning on changing it this week . 80W90.
@@mattgraves490 I saw a chart where they call for SAE 30 wt
my elictric club car started to make noise sounding dry
The parts manual for a 1995 DS doesn't even show a drain plug just the fill plug.
Thanks man
I would at least check the fluid level twice a year. One in the spring and once in the fall. And change it every other year.
