- Princess Daisy is one of the most iconic Super Mario characters, but her voice hasn't exactly been consistent... So in this video I'll talk about the multiple voice actors who have portrayed this character over the years, and why Nintendo keep changing Daisy's voice!

Daisy's current voice is great. Previously, it was far too similar to Peach, but like how Mario and Luigi used to be really similar, the change gives the two more sperate and almost opposing personalities. It makes it much more interesting!

Daisy is underrated. I'm just gonna blast it out there. She might be a bit ruder then the other princesses and that makes her better in my opinion. Her voice is probably the most iconic part of her.

I Barely noticed Daisy until I heard Deana mustard's voice acting for her she gave her such a fun and very fitting personality with the voice clips she provided. It didn't take long before she became my absolute favorite and she still is to this day! She may not be the best princess character in the series but in my eyes she's still the GOAT! 😌

I really like our current Princess Daisy voice, the one done by Deanna Mustard. Her voice clips have a lot of character. Like, she sounds sporty and a bit tomboyish in a way that is really fun. If they give her a different voice, I'd love to see something similar to the one in Compact Disco, since that voice also had a bit of charm to it.

It's hard to believe that Daisy used to be sound as elegant and innocent and Peach. But I like to think that she was that way at first back in Mario Land, with a Small Tomboy side, but as she participated in more Sports and Events, she got more enthusiastic and excited for these Spin-offs, and she became more of the chipper Go-Getter we're more familiar with today.
The spinoff play a important role in developing her character.

Thank you for making this video, I feel like Daisy's voice actresses aren't talked about very much, so I learned a lot. Kate Fleming's case was one that I didn't know about and it genuinely shocked me to hear she passed away, that was sad. Though it was heartwarming to know about her partner and her efforts to make a difference for the LGBT community. May Fleming rest in peace.
I did hear about this before but it was only a rumor a long time ago I wasn't really sure if was actually real R.i.p. Kate Fleming and I wish the best for her friends and family.

Dianna really brings the life to Daisy and makes her into her own beast. Seriously, her voice is iconic and hasn't changed for a reason. It's who Daisy is.
Also didn't expect to hear such a sad story about Kate. Hope that she can rest in peace.
Mustard’s audition is the perfect definition of failing upwards. From not getting a no name role in a golf game to one of the most memorable Princess in video games
Nintendo made a great decision to cut Daisy's hair short. She felt too much like a Peach clone with the long hair and with the short hair she feels like her own unique princess and one that I can confidently call my favorite. I also absolutely adore Daisy's current voice actress, Deanna Mustard, who truly brings her to life. Keep being cool Daisy. 🧡💛

Hearing Daisy say this to me feels out of place, but also feels me with joy.
I find it very intriguing how Jen Taylor, a former voice for Peach would eventually provide the voice for Daisy, you can definitely hear the cutesiness in that voice, Kate’s voice was also good too, it made Daisy sound more mature imo kinda like Rouge the Bat with the 4Kids Cast, Deanna Mustard was so great in giving Daisy her true identity in being cheerful, sporty and energetic!🌼🧡👸
Daisy’s energetic voice is one of my favourite things about her! It makes her a very distinct character. I also love the character’s color pallet ☺️ They did a great job

I loved Daisy in 2000 and she’s still my favorite character! Her current voice is definitely the most fitting. Can’t wait to pick her in Super Mario Bros Wonder.

Her voice is like most of why I love her character so much. She’s just a silly goober!
It's great that Daisy was able to develop into her own distinct character, with that iconic voice probably being the crucial element that helped Nintendo view her as the more fiery, sassy, and loud-mouthed counterpart to Peach that everyone loves now. Funny seeing as I vividly remember a time when Daisy was extremely unpopular and everyone seemingly hated her, with that voice being THE primary reason.
Great video, hoping to see one on Rosalina who originally had a more mature and ethereal sounding voice before settling on the more perky but still slightly deep voice she has today.

She got a new voice actress. Deanna has been replaced after 19 years.😢 Now Daisy sounds so different. No longer sassy tomboyish. She now sounds quite similar to Peach.

I don't think Deanna Mustard will do Daisy's voice in Super Mario Bros Wonder. She quit the Mario franchise alongside Charles Martinet, I should imagine. It's also a shame we haven't seen a single interview with her. I've always loved hearing Deanna as Daisy since I was a kid, and I grew up with it as well.

I have been playing Mario Kart 8 recently and I realized I have been thinking of Daisy as having a country bumpkin accent for some reason. I have never really paid attention to the character, and I am not sure if it's because of the name Daisy makes me think of Daisy Duke from the Dukes of Hazzard, or her hairstyle or what. I could picture her taking people's orders at Waffle House, then fist fighting drunk customers in the parking lot. Her dress is even appropriately colored for Waffle House's colors.
To be fair, as someone who grew up with a country accent, I must've really projected myself onto her A LOT, because I also remember her that way 😅
In Mario Party 8 most people love when she says I'm A Winner! I'm A Superstar! We're all superstars!" MWAH!"💋 Sounds like she is kissing you. Most people's least favourite line is when Daisy yells "Uugghh!!"
In Mario Kart 8 she does yell a lot.
great video, Deanna Mustard's voice is iconic especially in Mario Kart Wii. I'm a huge Daisy fan and I cannot wait to play as her in her grand return to mainline in Mario Wonder.

I love this backstory so much. Deanna Mustard however sounds like the kind of name a writer would make up for this sort of story. Like Deanna...Daisy. Pretty close and then Mustard the primary color in which Daisy dresses? Honestly this whole story and all the voices she has had just make me love Daisy even more.

Yep and it's confirmed to be Giselle Fernandez. They're (since Giselle Fernandez is non-binary) doing a great job as Daisy, they sound pretty close to Deanna just higher pitch. They previously worked on Fire Emblem Heroes in case you didn't know.

Do Rosalina’s voice next, her voice has gone through a lot of changes over the years, but I honestly really like the mario kart wii voice. She sounds so calming and mature unlike the other voices.

i love how different each princess is, peach has a more soft and regal voice, daisy has an enthusiastic voice, and rosalina has a deep and pensive voice (except in mario kart 8 LOL)

Genuinely surprised that you covered the weird UK disco CD but not the live action movie. I think most people forget the princess wasn't actually Peach/Toadstool in that one, which is odd because I imagine that's where the whole Luigi x Daisy thing started.
Deanna is the only VA in Mario Character that is able to speak in full sentences and not just a one directional voice

2:08 New find! I didn't know and I don't think anybody else knew but that little chiptune sound is in the mario maker 2 level maker select screen. I can't really point out the sound but it's in there and a nice detail nobody noticed (because nobody really cares about this mario disco album)

I really hope Daisy gets new lines in Wonder because in mario strikers battle league they just recycled lines from old games, theres even a line from Mario Kart DS (2005!!!) And its clear that the lines are old because it doesnt fit all that well...
