Another great video. I am heading up tomorrow for 2 days to camp and fish in Tiadaghton State Forest. Pine Creek and Little Pine Creek. My favorite place to fish for trout. Also will ride the bike on the rail trail.
Looks like PA doesn't have the cicada invasion this year. Here in Illinois we have a lot! We went up to southern Wisconsin yesterday, by Kenosha, and there weren't any. Apparently they observe borders. Thanks for the camping video!!!
Hi Cliff I do enjoy the camping videos, here where I live in Alabama as a child I sat outside with my mom just to hear the Whippoorwill, I heard one maybe a month or so ago, my mom's favorite bird, I think I love all bird's, thanks Cliff i certainly enjoy your channel
Dont be afraid to let the camera roll longer when your drinking your coffee by the fire. I really enjoy that part as I am a coffee aficionado myself lol
This was great! So glad you got to hear the Whip-poor-will. We used to hear them out where Swatara Park is now; haven't heard them since. What fun!!!!!
We just we looking at staying at Cowan's Gap but we decide om Shawnee State Park this time for our next adventure. Thanks for the great video! Cheers Cliff
Big trip for me, we lived behind South Hamilton school and in those days anything more than 10-15 miles was a major thing, especially heading into the mountains.
I knew I should've sent you pot holders. My sons, daughter in law, grandson and I were camping for 4 days this past Thursday May 30. It was a great weekend cold at night but days were warm. There wasn't a lot of people, which we were surprised. The place we were had only about 8 campers. Ive had my trailer for 9 years now and I reorganize it every time I go,so don't feel bad about not being organized. The tent lights were cute. Dont you ever wear tennis shoes? Hey! I took that same Smokey Bear shirt camping but I didn't wear it. I took a little too much this time but I like to be prepared for anything. Loved this video as always. Sorry if this comment is a little long, but I'm just catching up on things. Safe travels. ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm watching you camping as I too am camping at the campground. I'm glad you liked the spaghetti and meat sauce, that's my favorite adventure meals dinner
Come up to Rockport Massachusetts..lots of stories..to investigate..my family has history their..The Reed Family.. Thatchers Island..My Great Grandfather was the light house keeper
I had an experience in western Pennsylvania where the whip-poor-wills were a bit annoying. I think it was during mating season. They were calling all around the camp site most of the night.
Wow! That is a massive camp area. The state parks we go to there is only a small pad area to put the tent. If you have more than one, you’re going to have some rough area.
I have been watching your videos for awhile now and I really like the direction your heading with them. Incorporating a little more camping and bushcraft with the hiking. I think I'll actually subscribe now. Good job!
At the top of the mtn there's an overlook. Before reaching the top, make a left. There's a parking area, but you can keep going up a gravel road to a round about that you can look out over the valley. We saw our 1st rattle snake on the way back in the gravel road. Got a few pictures. Will be going there in July.
Why don't you stay more than one night on your camping adventures? Also what do you leave in your jeep between camping excursions? Great video. I liked that you filmed packing up.
It is not good for your shoes to dry them nest to direct heat, be it a fire or heat vents. Stuff the shoe with newspaper and turn it on it's side. Do not wear wet shoes if at all possible, alternate shoes when wet.
Enjoy your videos, but I dont get eating dehydrated food when car camping. Even canned food is way better and less expensive, but I stick to fresh meats, fruits and veggies and generally cook on the fire so no dishes to clean.
It makes sense on a multi day backpacking trip, but I would disagree, some of it is tolerable at best. It’s not calorie dense and it’s expensive. He probably has companies mail it to him, that’s why he eats it.
You never cook real food, when you go camping, you only eat highly processed, foods, I think they call those packages, that you eat, MRE'S. I never see you with like a, Colman Cook Stove, or a Charcoal Grill, or a Gas Grill, cooking real food.
Cliff likes his hiking shoes Medium Well done :-)
Yes!!! A camping video. 🙂💙
Girl you need something 😢
Pennsylvania woods. Damp and chill, but gorgeous!

Oh the family picnics we had at Cowan’s Gap! Paddle boating, fishing , laying on the beach .Great memories!

I'd put a chair by that water and watch and listen to it for a while!

My go to lake when a kid, ‘50’s-‘60’s. Always a big day when mom said we were going.

loving going camping with you. Thanks.
❤love the lights and campfire!!!❤

I love this park!! I use to go there every summer growing up!!

Love the camping trip, Cliff! Blessings & keep on Trekking! ☮️
Relaxing for me.

Fantastic video thanks Cliff. That lake is really beautiful. Nice to see green trees too. Thanks, for taking me along. Please take care
My husband and I met at Cowan’s Gap State Park! He was from nearby Mercersburg.
Nice. You're not far from my house...Trough Creek State Park has some nice trails. Balanced Rock, Ice mine.
I would have liked to have seen more of the park. But o enjoy these a lot
Love your camping videos! What a beautiful place even with some traffic noise.
Thank u for taking us along..
I Love hearing whipoorwills!!!
We did a lot of camping at Cowans Gap when i was a kid but never on that side of the lake. Very nice
More of these kind of videos!
Very nice! I stopped and looked at tents yesterday-hoping to retire next year, and looking forward to getting back into camping!
Come up to Rockport Massachusetts..lots of stories..to investigate..my family has history their..The Reed Family.. Thatchers Island..My Great Grandfather was the light house keeper
Such a beautiful place !
I was raised in Greencastle. Every Summer and Fall we would be at Cowan’s Gap. You should do the back story of that place. It’s interesting.
Nice park. I liked the lights on the tent, I should do that.

My dad and I fished there once back in the early 80's.The only thing I remember about it was all the dead fish around the shore.
Camped there many times over 54 years
Great camping video. Do you ever toast marshmallows or make s’mores ? Love those tiny lights. Have a safe and wonderful camping summer.
Not usually.

Ever consider keeping a lightweight pair of boots in your Jeep for those wet journeys?
You need to to go go Togo too to Cabeleas and get a boot warmer!
Why don't you stay more than one night on your camping adventures? Also what do you leave in your jeep between camping excursions? Great video. I liked that you filmed packing up.
You need a headlamp!
A lot of work. Must be good to sleep in in a house, in a room, in a bed, afterward.
I'm about 12 miles from here❤
"About 12 miles from here" is the start of a great song.
Have you ever been to that outlook right by there? It’s at the end of Tower Road. It’s a pretty good one.
Several times.
Nice looking site but mushroom coffee sounds like cruel punishment
I would like your opinion on mushrooms coffee please!
good stuff
It's weird to me that you are blocked from backing your car all the way in. What's up with that? I camp in my car, which is also a Naomi.
I think its done to keep vehicles from tearing up the ground when wet.
What’s the mushroom stuff he adds to coffee?
My dad used to whistle to a whip erwill

yummy

Some of that dehydrated food is very good.

Me I just wake some peanut butter and jelly and bread a lot easier
Man... do you have all the gadgets! Not really a woodsman anymore. Domesticated camping at its best
Why not just sleep in your car lol

He’s cooking up some boots
