Hey Cliff, I just want to thank you for working so hard to make these videos for us. I struggle with severe severe anxiety and panic. Whenever It gets really bad I’ll watch your videos and they always make me feel better. Just wanted to say you’re the best!
Twilight is always a pleasant time of day. I love to sit and listen; One by one the daytime animals go quiet. Then for about a half hour the woods are still, then one by one the nighttime animals begin making their music.
Spiders hate the smell of mint so you might want to invest in some mint tea bags to keep in your bags and tent and then they will leave you alone. I keep them in my car and so far have not had another one in there in over a year 😊👍
I didn't know that and that is great info. Spiders and I have an agreement. If the spider stays out of my house then she and I have no problem . However, if caught in the house there is no discussion, no negotiation. That spider is going to meet a swift and violent end. After viewing this video against my better judgment I will now extend the spider exclusion zone to my tent.
Several spiders got in my tent @ Little Buffalo State Park and I had 2 major spider bites on my legs! WEIRD! I will be saving this camp site number for sure, what a sweet spot there on the lake!
My brother and his wife and I camped there in sites 27 and 20 June 19th and 20th. I was surprise by the cell service in that area. Absolutely stunning camp ground
❤beautiful campsite, 29:55 fire and lake. Sorry the 2 birds were suppose to be your favorite birds but they don't look like it!!❤❤ the puzzle is beautiful I think!❤thanks for sharing all this with us!🎉😊❤❤
That spider looked like a Garden Spider. They usually appear in the late summer and build webs on windows and porch posts. They eat pests and are fun to watch when they build their webs.
We used to drive to Ricketts Glenn from PCT in Williamsport and hike/climb/swim the waterfalls! Some of the best times of my life, never even made it to the lake or campground lol! So thanks for showing us!
I have never gone camping. It was cool watching this to get a feel of what its like. I would probably be worried about waking up to a bear rummaging through my camp lol
Your spider looks similar to our huntsman tho they do get incredibly big. Only spider that can live in my home. Your campsite is lovely. Lovely being able to eat at the lake too. Look forward to seeing the falls. Thanks for taking me along. Please take care
Enjoyed you and your campsite with a nice video of the camp fire. The birds in the background felt like I was there with you. Sure do appreciate you! 😊
I thought I was the only picky one for campsites...glad to see theres someone else. I liked the stumps by the fire. That was a beautiful site. I too like camping by the water. My Blackstone came with metal utensils,so I don't see why you think you shouldn't use them. That spider was horrendous! Loved the picture of Sachs bridge. Dinosaur bridge isn't actually a bridge. Its on West Confederate ave just past the picnic area I believe. It's a stone wall on each side of the road and there is a footprint on the top. Its cool to see. Im here in 90 degree heat watching you in 55 degrees. Hard to imagine it was that cold out. This weather has been strange. Love camping with you. Be safe.❤❤❤❤❤❤
One day God and I are going to have a talk about spiders-one bit my Dad and the infection killed him-needless to say I am not a spider fan-please be careful and check your tent-thank you for all of your wonderful videos!😍
WOW, empty spots at Ricketts Glen. They usually book way in advance. Worst camping experience in my life was when one of those giant spiders crawled into my mouth while I was sleeping. I'm getting that chill up my spine just typing this. I have since conditioned myself to sleep with my mouth shut.
Love your hiking 🥾 and camping 🏕️ videos! Have been watching you for years, now, and always appreciate the advice you give while engaging in your adventures - I would really appreciate an advice video on what you pack and find necessary gear for your solo camping trips - because this is something that I am now considering doing (solo camping) - thanks 😊
A thought I had after you said about how you pick campsites and look at Google maps to check for trees and shade... You could set up a fan email account and we could send you pictures of campsites that we visit. You could file the emails in folders according to location. Then when you visit an area, you can look at those emails again. Again, just a thought. Not a complaint, just an observation. Haha.
Are there any huckle berries on those bushes next to the path around the lake? In the past I have snacked heavily while I was there but it might be a bit early.
I couldn't identify that spider. We got small wolf spiders in Ohio, (still big females though), the Carolina ones are bigger than ours. This one had interesting patterns on it's legs.
It’s a wonder that you didn’t have a whole clutter of spiders in your tent with the way you keep it unzipped, eek. I hope you will make biscuits in the future.

Wow! Campsite with a lake view. You can’t beat that !
Great campsite! Food always tastes better when cooked over a fire. Thanks for taking us camping with you!

What a nice and relaxing place

Or get some peppermint and spearmint essential oils.
Thanks for the information.

Thanks for taking the Spider back to the woods & not mashing her! Hope she gets better soon, if not, she’ll be better off! ☮️

Nice campsite. Just a hint on pancakes. When the edges bubble then it is time to flip. Stay well and happy.
I thought every American adult knew that.
Beautiful campsite ! Love it !
Still in therapy after 2nd hip surgery ! But all going well !
Buddy !
The 2nd pancake is always better! LOL

Heading to Moon Lake in the morning, not far from Ricketts Glen.
Appreciate the info from Susanne about mint vs spiders. Could come in handy.

Nice. Always makes me want to camp. Even if I just got back from camping. Poor 🕷.😅
This place looks great! Have to get out there this year

Yes you can use a metal spatchula in an iron skillet, in fact it is recommended.
Agreed. He's not trying to scratch off the cast iron seasoning, he's flipping pancakes. Plastic spatulas just don't do the job for me.

fantastic campground, you sitting at the lake early in the morning has to be the money shot if you will
Cliff,Wondering if your camp chair would fit out on the rock at the shore, that be cool at night, watch the fire flies :-)
Transitioning from Spider-Man to Aunt Jemima to Mr. Coffee to Sleepyhead ! No dust on U ! 😂
😢there are ticks everywhere. I don't want to see spiders that big!!!😊❤
the tree behind you with the picnic table has a face on it. when showing the creamer.

Nice area
She is there!
Scaredy-Cat ! 😂
Honestly I wouldnt beable to sleep knowing that spider was still alive.
I would be sleeping in the car.
Are there any huckle berries on those bushes next to the path around the lake? In the past I have snacked heavily while I was there but it might be a bit early.
the first pancake usually does not cook up well. you need some smokylinks to go with those pancakes....lol. do you get tired of hiking sometimes?
I couldn't identify that spider. We got small wolf spiders in Ohio, (still big females though), the Carolina ones are bigger than ours. This one had interesting patterns on it's legs.
Love the pour through coffee filter set up. Please let me know where you picked that up. Would be mych appreciated. Thanks
Yeah thats a big one! Yikes! He's not looking too good. Poor thing
Mercy have anything to do with the "Timmy" thing?? Looks like something she would come up with 😂😂😅
23:00 'ish - looks like a common Grackle
Definitely a grackle
maybe molting?
Spray all around your tent inside and out with peppermint oil and water in a spray bottle. Spiders hate it.
Nice campground do people just not camp that much out there here in PNW it is very hard to even get a spot in state parks.
Metal utensils are fine in cast iron. You should not use metal on Teflon coated or enameled coated pans. Enjoy yourself.
It’s a wonder that you didn’t have a whole clutter of spiders in your tent with the way you keep it unzipped, eek. I hope you will make biscuits in the future.
I have good service at the park
Spiders. Why did it have to be spiders?
whare should you put it ? put it right in the fire pit is whare i would have put it
That spider would have promptly found a safe spot, on the bottom of my boot. Anything bigger than a daddy long legs is automatically squished.
Maybe I missed something but is Naomi gone?
