- WHAT A RUSH !!!!!!!!!!!!! I did not expect record 112mph speed run on the GPS. I'm trying to get a custom made spur so I can put a bigger pinion.

RedCat is one of the worst imitators of real hobby-grade R/C brands. This is still impressive, but all the credit should be given to the guy who owns the vehicle and modified it, and also to Castle Creations of course.

Awsome....specially from a brand that some crtisize...very well done. I have a nice rc collection...they are all nitro. One that i love to bash and have taken lots of pride in upgrdes is my HSP/REDCAT BACKWASH....They imo are great buggys that can be set up for awsome street bashing....112mph...awsome!!!

Not that it matters now but even the brushed Redcat epx touring cars come with all metal gears....diffs. , brass pinion, steel spur. U must have bought the exceed version. But like I said no matter. U did kick ass man!! Good shit! And thanks for everything u guys do!

May i ask u wat kind of pinion and spur gears are using? Metric? Aluminum? Plastic?...etc
Well...on this video I used the original plastic spur that came with the car which is 48t 32pitch, the pinion was a castle creations 24t 32 pitch aluminum castle creations. Good luck!

this car is the same as the hsp 1/10 onroads right? f so ivebeen looking at them for some time. i already own a 4 year old hsp 1/10 brushless buggy with etal suspension arms and thought why not head to the onroad and do speed bilds.

what's your setup on this gearing cell count etc? I just dug my 1/10 out I've used a few times 17 years ago and got it up and running with an rx8 and 5200kv motor. it's kinda fast with a 2 cell but I want it faster for kicks.
damn. how's the motor bolted up? mine doesn't have a normal motor mounts like Traxxas Vehicles. My Redcat is brushed want to upgrade but can't figure out how to remove the motor lol

hi I'm working on my redcat lighting epx pro and I want to put the MM v1 2200kv combo in it do you know if there is a 1/8 motor pinion gear that fits the pro spur gears
what power input does the motor take up to or doesnt that matter is it just what the voltage of the esc can take?

I have a exceed drift star I have been building what spur and pinion size do you use? Also I noticed the foam tires what shore? Really nice car man and you didn't spend 1000.00 on a xo-1 to go over 100mph lol really cool.

what was the gearing on this?i know its not much more of a differance but hobbywing has a 9100 kv cencored motor. think you could drop that in there? ise the 1/8 150 amp and you can then use 6s! just gear it right

@yucahead13 I have another question for you? What was your reasoning for going with the exceed rather then a TC4 or TC5? Most of the videos i've seen on youtube have people using TC4 and TC3's and hitting over 120mph. I was just wondering is there something you see in the Exceed that gives you confidence of its quality over the TC3 and TC4 chasis and set up?

I surprised that POS held up with that set up. Exceed RC really isnt made with a lot of percision, they usually have a lot of play when it comes to steering and suspension components. Love the motor set up though 4s with a 9000kv motor lol holy shit bro!!!
The motor is only supposed to be used up to 2 cells, that is 7.4v but as you can see I used 4cells. On that motor I will keep it up to 4 cells and u MUST let the motor cool down after 1 fast pass!!!!

Hey, what kind of tires are you using, because every time I try to do a speed run, my tires always blow out.
@yucahead13 what gear setup are you running? I have a TC4 with a 9000kv mamba pro max running a 31 pinion and 61 spur gear and i'm no where close to this speed. Maybe 80mph on a good day.

Can you share exactly what mods you have done other than the motor and ESC. I own Redcat (the company) and even I find this hard to believe that you got this much speed out of the car.
Redcat Racing this was done with the standard 32 pitch 48 teeth plastic spur, I had to mod/dremmel out the motor mount holes so i can fit the Castle Creations 24t 32 pitch pinion, Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro ESC, Castle Creations 9000kv Motor, standard servo, 45 shore 30mm and 26mm tires. If I remember correctly it was a 26t 32 pitch pinion with the stock 32 pitch spur. That was what I used back then.
