      Thanks Claire. It's a great winter walk too, without too much mud. I think everyone loves the pups...going to have to start featuring them more in videos

      Thank you. I try to do some research about ny walks beforehand. I am working through a book called Walks Into History: Sussex which has been really interesting.

      @@WilderhopeAdventures always best to do research, the amount of times I've found something interesting and not known the history. keep up the good work

      @@HughesHikes That it is...it is one of the things I was determined to do with my videos from the start...keep them entertaining but also informative if I could

    Beautiful shot of that butterfly 😁👌🏻 I do not miss the midges now it’s autumn, the weathers worse but at least less bugs lol

      Thanks. Took me a while to get one as they usually fly away if I get too close...this one was very co-operative. And very true about the bugs. No midges in the south...just the occasional mosquito. Love this time of year for hiking...except for the mud...quite a narrow window for cool air and not too much mud

    Great video, very informative. I did a wild camp up here in the summer on a quiet little spot with fabulous views.

      @WilderhopeAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nice. I could very easily see doing something like that...would definitely have some epic views and probably be quieter than the neighboring Chanctonbury Ring to the north

      Hi Shane, its doing really well. Shame I can't go out in it at the moment, but looking forward to a cold weather camp shortly 🙂

    From Cissbury on a clear day you can see the coastline from Beachy Head in the east to the Isle of Wight in the west, which must be near 80 miles distance. Spent many hours on Cissbury, it is a quite mystical place early morning or late evening. Wonderful to watch the sun rise in mid summer.

    • @WilderhopeAdventures
      @WilderhopeAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, that is quite the distance to be able to see...better for a clear day like that in winter when there is less moisture in the air. I much prefer the South Downs on a misty, frosty winter morning to the heat of summer.

    Have you been to Chactonbury Ring?

      Yes; it is on my South Downs Way video Day 4...we camped not far from it after a pub stop in Washington
