If this video gets to 100 likes, I’ll give y’all another 5 expectations I have for the next Weeknd album! Happy new years my homies!🙏 Edit: I ain’t forget y’all. Just waiting till we get a tiny bit more about the album so we can have a real conversation!
Another major artist The Weeknd should get to feature on one of his songs is Ariana Grande, I think this would be good because they have been doing work together since 2014 on Love Me Harder and I think having one last duet together would really be a nice send off to her and all the XO fans.
If he released the album on his birthday, it would be really really cool. It would perfectly match with the all "rebirth" theme that seems we're getting in this last album. I really can't wait to see what Abel has ready for us
I hope that "Take Me Back To LA" is on his next album because he teased it in one of his concerts and we've all been wanting it to be released as an actual song.
I think there’s a good chance Kanye could show up if you ignore his current space in the industry of just being completely hidden, if Drake and Abel are truly back on good terms that would be incredible to have the OVOXO return, think Travis has to make it with them being one of the best and most underrated duos, and I agree that classic collaborators like Lana and future will make the project, also Abel confirmed after life was that song that was originally the potential album title. Also definitely expect Abel to either have the album lead back to the character from trilogy or will transition in to high for this or something of the effect of the entire discography being a complete loop
If we get OVOXO it’ll be after the album and as Abel but even then Drake said he’s done with music for a while and Abel doesn’t like to go backwards so idk
I love the friendship between Abel and Lana , the respect , and admiration they have for each other, makes my heart beat with excitement. The perfect musical soulmates me thinks. I hope they get to collaborate once again when the weeknd goes by “abel tesfaye”
I think it would be interesting if there could be a daft punk feature on this final album. If we’re talking about importance of artists, daft punk and their collaboration was huge for The Weeknd. I mean, they did help write 2 of the most popular songs for Abel (I Feel it Coming & Starboy). Not only that, the influence they had for Abel’s approach on 80’s music that can be heard on songs like Blinding Lights and many on Dawn FM helped The Weeknd to gain even more success with these songs. I know that Daft Punk are now split up but maybe someone like Guy Manuel can come back with Abel to create one last track.
I think Metro. He’s help create After Hours and other of Abel’s music and never sung in a Weeknd song other than Creepin. I believe it would be a good hit to put in the Final Album
Did you know that 13 years ago, on September 26th The Weeknd discovered Lana Del Rey through tumblr, and was the first one to ask BBC Radio 1 to put 'Video Games' on their playlist. In fact in an interview Abel admits that when he met Lana, he felt that he had found the girl who was writing in her songs, that is, I found her muse for her songs. The Weeknd and Lana met in 2010, the year in which the Weeknd launched "Trilogy", and it is seen that they became very good friends, so much so that the voice of a woman who sounds in "Lonely Star" is inspired by Lana del Rey and it should be clarified that Lana helped a producer the album, "BBTM".On the surface, The Weeknd and Del Rey might seem like very different artists. After all, The Weeknd’s music hip hop and soul sound feels more in line with someone like Ariana Grande. Meanwhile, Del Rey’s career lives much more in line with rock-infused pop. However, the two artists are much more similar than the genres of their music might reveal. For instance, The Weeknd and Del Rey both often capture a dream-like quality in their songs. In addition, their lyrical content dips into dark territory, such as their preoccupation with drug references. So it makes sense they would work well together. And so they have. Beginning with The Weeknd’s 2015 single “Prisoner,” they’ve worked together on five songs.Although the Grammy Awards have yet to bestow a trophy to Del Rey, her work certainly makes a huge impact on The Weeknd. In fact, the “Blinding Lights” singer once revealed just how vital she is to his own music. In a 2015 interview with Pitchfork, The Weeknd explained the interconnected nature of Del Rey’s music and his own. “Me and Lana have been friends for a long time. I’ve inspired her. She’s inspired me. I feel like we’ve always been talking to each other through our music. She is the girl in my music, and I am the guy in her music. It’s just this ghostly collaboration that feels the most natural on the whole [Beauty Behind the Madness] album. Even the whole monologue intro on “Lonely Star” from [my 2011 mixtape] Thursday - I just realized now that that’s Lana. That’s Lana’s voice. I mean, it’s my voice pitched up, but it’s her. It’s who she is. She was definitely the first feature that I wanted to bring on this album.” The Weeknd and Del Rey are more than just collaborators, it seems. The pair’s music - according to The Weeknd - is spiritually linked. Perhaps this revelation puts into context not only the collaborations between these two but their respective catalogs as well. As great collaborations he has Prisoner, Party Monster where Lana makes Background vocals, Stargirl Interlude, Lust for Life and Money Power and Glory an unreleased remix by The weeknd for the album kissland but the original is from Lana's album Ultraviolence. Anyway, long life to this wonderful collaboration.
What a wonderful comment! Thank you for sharing so much insight - it really is beautiful to see both Abel and Lana succeeding on their own terms and without compromise. Hope you’re having a good one.
@@PiosPlaceThank you very much, the pleasure is mine 😉 I have known the career of Lana and Abel in 2014 but knowing their career separately until 2017 when Abel announced that he was going to collaborate with Lana through networks and I didn't realize that not only do they know each other but that they they have been great friends for many years and admire each other. One of the most interesting collabs on Dawn FM was Bruce Johnston from The Beach Boys on 'Here we go again', and I'd love another surprising collab like this with a legendary artist outside the pop and r&b genre. Anyone from Paul McCartney to Elton John would be amazing, that could give a slightly different sound to Abel's music. Edit: Bruce Johnston was credited as a writer, producer and vocalist on 'here we go again'.
I remember When I was on Abel's Madrid concert in the east track when he sang Less Than Zero I wrote in my poster something else in which he said: "Please Collab with Lana cause you know is your Stargirl" and he smiled at me, in fact it is a video on a channel that is an X❤O fan called Anything Abel in which it is titled "I flew across the world to see my favourite artist live" when Abel after jumping and sang a fragment of the song "I try to hide it, but I know you know me. I try to fight it, but I'd rather be free" he looked at me along with my sign and he made that gesture of affection while he was smiling again and little by little he was heading to the other side. The girl next to me warned me again that Abel looked at me again and asked me if I could point out the sign to take a photo or make a video. That means that he still has affection and admiration for Lana and that it is also another sign that he may be collab with Lana someday, let's hope so for this AMAZING COLLAB 💕
Lana totally, what about Jungle (1974 vibes), Andre 3000, Thundercat on strings, Underworld remix, Radiohead collab, Genesis Owuzu collab, Motown vibes. As The Weeknd or as Abel Tesfaye. Enjoyed The Idol soundtrack so he can do what he likes really, like others have. Really want him to do an interview with Diary of a CEO podcast with La Mar as well or biography one day. Had awesome time last few years hearing all the work, wowed. Look up his backstory, doing a lot in the world. Can't wait to see next leg of concerts in 2024.
You never know either the weeknd The weeknd is full of surprises. I believe the weeknd's next and final album might be called trilogy to After Hours/DawnFM. We just have to wait and see. I'm so excited and so pumped for the new album
Great picks. Has me thinking how cool it’d be if we ran through Abel’s whole catalog of producer collabs (Illangelo, Pharrell for the Wanderlust remix, etc)
*I would’ve loved to hear some sort of interlude featuring either Michael or Prince if they were still alive. Maybe a little too on the nose, but man, that would’ve been a full circle moment*
Frank Ocean would be a legendary feature for this album as I feel Abel and Frank are the main juggernauts or pioneers when it comes to the modern R&B sound and both are artists that have changed the new generation.
Final album will have feature of bruno because he's light to darkness. Future because he can have that alien/ spaceship type sound. Ariana cause she's light to weeknd's darkness. Jorja smith because she's also this postivity to weeknd's negativity. Kendrick Lamar because he's unpredictable yet his music is introspective. Lana because she's female version of him and it will be perfect way to give a perspective to weeknd. J cole because he's feature king and he's super introspective. That's it. It will be 12-16 song album because he wants to capture every angle in story. It will be about acceptance and knowing that he's cynical, negative and toxic all this time. His style of “rage rap” is associated with these really cool “alien-esc” and hardcore synths and is known to have a futuristic aesthetic. Yeat jokingly refers to himself as an “alien” or not from this planet. If I could compare him to a more mainstream act, I would compare him to Travis Scott but with better more full synthy based production. A lot of people that are young and chronically on the internet like me are really into Yeat and his various contemporaries. Originally, Yeat was often compared to another bigger rapper named Playboi Carti who is set to drop his highly anticipated album “I AM MUSIC”. Playboi Carti was the rapper who was on The Weeknd song for The Idol song featuring Madonna. His album “Whole Lotta Red” really originated the “rage” subgenre and would play a big role spawning the career of Yeat who would become popular off the sounds in Playboi Carti’s album “Whole lotta Red”. For a lot of listeners the rage sound could dismissed as “mumble rap” but it would be completely unfair to the genre as the emphasis is really the high energy almost EDM (Electronic Dance Music) based production as well as the creative autotune heavy vocal acrobatics which in an abstract sense can be listened to as just “another instrument” making it an ideal genre of music to play during dj sets and high energy events similar to the ones in the DAWN FM listening party in the Amazon premiere, therefore characterizing itself as rage rap. The reason for me bringing up Yeat in the first place is because in early 2021 there were videos of The Weeknd and Drake dancing and singing along to the lyrics of one of Yeat’s first songs that blew him up titled “Get Busy” which a lot fans of Yeat including myself thought of it as a co-sign 😅 in some type of way as Yeat has featured on Drake’s latest album “For All The Dogs” and is set to drop his highly anticipated and futuristic album titled “2093”. This new subgenre of “Rage” rap has gotten so big to the point where you have rappers like Drake who are making poor attempts to rap over it. If you want to get into some Yeat here are some recommendations: Nun id Change, bigger then everything, and Double.
I think it would be cool if he did it featureless and then drop remixes like he did for after hours. I’d sell my left nut to hear I heard you’re married without Wayne
Kanye, Drake, Future, Gessafelstein, Lana, Travis Scott, Post Malone, Bruno Mars, we also need Abel to get permission from the Jackson’s to use one of Michael Jackson’s unreleased vocals to make a song with them duoing it out. It would be beautiful and a perfect goodbye and honor to Michael Jackson as Abel said Michael was the main inspiration for him when he started making music
I want Doja Cat! Both "You're Right" and "In Your Eyes (Doja Remix)" are beautyful. But do you know if they come along after Doja had to cancel her opening for The Weeknd's tour?
is it really expected to be his last album?? i listen to his songs so often and i keep thinking to myself, wow if there's one artist i could only listen for the rest of my life it would be him.
His last album as the weeknd, yes. He doesn't stop making music, js closing the The Weeknd chapter and continuing with his birth name(not as much maybe tho)
This is kind of a long shot but I feel a good feature on the weeknds last album would be xxxtentacion, the weekend has showed support to x before and X himself said the weeknd was one of his biggest influences and inspirations on his own music, also cleo(X's mom) recently said she would try and get a weekend and X collab at some point. X's voice and energy could match the weeknd's really well
@@emilystapleton5265 which would make it “The Weeknd’s last album”. The prevailing theory is that he will then transition into releasing music under his real name - Abel Tesfaye (which is also something he’s mentioned in past interviews).
@PiosPlace That's correct but your title made it seem that way and very click bait... wouldn't want unknowing people assuming that he isn't making music anymore.
I don’t think you understand the trajectory of it being the “last”. Sure he’s gonna make music as ‘Abel Tesfaye’ but the sheer volume the character had and the influence was just too great to just see it as not a big deal. This man is literally ahead of his time, folks in the future will call us lucky to have witnessed, (in my opinion.) The second greatest artist of all time.
@@damnitbobby4383 I understand where you are coming from this chapter will always be a hit and trust me, I'm a huge fan of his music and this chapter in Abels career to it got me through breakups and depression and suicide in middle school Abel saved my fucking life man what I'm trying to say is I don't want fans to think that just because he is going to close this chapter that his music going forward is automatically going to be a flop his music in my opinion will still hit and be an instant hit I'm not trying to be a hater it's just that I don't want fans to think of Abel differently cause he is starting a new chapter in his career.

I want this album to have a mix of bbtm/trilogy vibes
It's gonna be a featureless album, he has clearly stated multiple times that he's not gonna do any more features as the weeknd
I think it would be cool if he did it featureless and then drop remixes like he did for after hours. I’d sell my left nut to hear I heard you’re married without Wayne
He may not do any other features on another artist’s record but I’m not sure if that meant no one would feature on any of his songs.
Might be the Monday be name of album 😜
Kanye, Drake, Future, Gessafelstein, Lana, Travis Scott, Post Malone, Bruno Mars, we also need Abel to get permission from the Jackson’s to use one of Michael Jackson’s unreleased vocals to make a song with them duoing it out. It would be beautiful and a perfect goodbye and honor to Michael Jackson as Abel said Michael was the main inspiration for him when he started making music
One Sexy redd as the outro track please
There are days where “Rich Baby Daddy” is the greatest song ever put on wax so sign me up!😭
travis scott he will def kill with the alien/futuristic sound
Fein Fein🗣️🗣️
Dua Lipa would be a interesting Feature
I think Travis Scott and nav should be on there or Ken Carson
Whatcha mean by ‘final’ album ? I’m already waiting for the next trilogy
This is the next trilogy…
I'm pretty sure it was already confirmed by the man himself there would be no features or am I mistaken?
I want Doja Cat! Both "You're Right" and "In Your Eyes (Doja Remix)" are beautyful. But do you know if they come along after Doja had to cancel her opening for The Weeknd's tour?
She knows her worth I’m pretty sure it sucked he couldn’t have her join but at the same time probably didn’t care it’s not like it lost any money
It’s hard to tell but she dropped out due to tonsil surgery I believe, not any kind of creative issues/differences so I’d imagine they’re good.
@@PiosPlace I could’ve been an opener had to redirect the bookings- Doja
Shish Boom should be in the deluxe of this upcoming album!!!
Bro need to make a futuristic dystopian alum with Tory lanez and SZA
Anyone here after The Weeknd is starting the build up for this album? 🤨
🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♂️
I would want to see Bruno mars, Chris brown, Ye, Lloyd and Jacquees (this one highly unlikely to happen but that would be a 🔥 song)
Oooo Lloyd and Jacquees are new ones! I’d love that if we were to embrace that classic R&B sound for a bit
is it really expected to be his last album??
i listen to his songs so often and i keep thinking to myself, wow if there's one artist i could only listen for the rest of my life it would be him.
His last album as the weeknd, yes. He doesn't stop making music, js closing the The Weeknd chapter and continuing with his birth name(not as much maybe tho)
Its gonna be great to see the end of the story, cause the whole thing is about a mans journey to the afterlife so yeah
HURRY UP TOMORROW
Maybe bad bunny, travis, 21? Either way im excited as fuck
When did he say that was his last album tho?
its his last album as the weeknd he said it himself everything after will be from abeltesfaye
X's voice and energy could match the weeknd's really well
We also had a kid cudi and X song on cudis newest album
i just need a collab with joji and bruno mars man
Hey chesco I found you❤
🤝🤝
Dawn FM purposely had no rollout he even tweeted “ forget am album rollout. Let’s just enjoy the music” just before he released the album.
i would like the weeknd to have collab with metro boomin they are a great friend
SZA?
Great to see u still making videos bro!
Edit: Features that I’d want include:
Ariana Grande
Drake
Travis Scott
Bruno Mars
Dua Lipa
Ppreciate you sir!🫡 that’d be a beautiful feature list
Last Weeknd ablum is going to be self-titled. ABEL
But why is it allegedly his final album? Did he confirm that or is it a speculation? :(
It’s his final album as The Weeknd. He will continue to make music but go by his actual name Abel testafye idk how to spell his last name
ew.com/music/the-weeknd-new-album-last-hurrah-as-the-weeknd/
what if we got an awesome immersive album with no singer/rapper features. That would be epic
We don’t know it will be his final.
ew.com/music/the-weeknd-new-album-last-hurrah-as-the-weeknd/
I want zero features on this album.loved the video by the way.
👍👍
When did he ever say his next album will be the last
ew.com/music/the-weeknd-new-album-last-hurrah-as-the-weeknd/
@PiosPlace No he never said that. He just wants to get rid of "the weeknd" name.
Kendrick Lamar - the Weeknd did sidewalks with him.
NEVER CLICKED SO FUCKING FAST IN MY LIFE
😭😭🫶
whatchu doin up at this hour?🤨
@PiosPlace idk tbh 😶🌫️
Easily Travis Scott!
- Pray for love
- Wonderful
- Skeletons
- Wake Up
- K Pop
- Circus maximus
- FML
- Power is Power
It's going to shine the light on the truth.
I don't want any features in this album. It feels more personal than his other albums like after hours
people act like this is the last album then he fades away its not he will still be making music just not as the weeknd.
Hopefully he will add songs with Ariana, or Lana. Not Drake.
I think Jim Carrey must be back i think after the end phamtom regret track he goes "you have been freed to live without your regrets, now god's child, be free"
At the very least, I’d love to see him back for a music video!
i kinda want dua lipa on this album
Me after listening weeknd droping new album 😄 and then it will be the last one😢
Kendrick lamar or daft punk
Kendrick Lamar would be a dope feature
