@@williamskrinner3302 Do you remember Harpos in Detroit? It was this run down theater in Detroit Turned into a big club bar. Several years after I had seen Triumph at Cobo arena, Rick Emmit had a new band and played at Harpos. That was cool because Harpos was a small venue and he did all the Triumph hits. Harpos was a crazy place.

Saw them in the 70's in San Antonio and they blew everyone away in 1983 at the US Festival with 350,000 in attendance and over 100 degree temperatures. Hold On is a good one and Allied Forces with the other lead singer...the drummer. A voice similar to Marc Farner of Grand Funk Railroad. Canada has some of the best rock bands ever. They literally invaded San Antonio, Texas in the mid 70's.

Rik Emmett's voice is spectacular as well as his guitar playing.

Takes me back to high school. There was some great music that came out in the 70’s, minus disco, and 80’s. The hair bands and power ballads were huge. I could probably spit out hundreds of songs. I still love listening to them, even though as I get older my musical taste is a bit more diverse.

Sometimes the 80's get a bit of a bad rap simply because they followed the 70's; which was probably the greatest decade of music there's ever been in the history of man. But the 80's were just so damn fun! I was 22 in 1980 and remember that decade so fondly. Wish I could live it again; what a magical time it was to be alive!

Hey Half Pint, I loved your reaction to Triumph. I enjoyed listening to them back in the '80's as well.
If you want to listen to something totally different that you'd probably never be aware of, watch the You Tube video of Lucy Thomas sing Hallelujah. I think you'll catch my drift when you read this, but Lucy's voice is a pure and strong as Angelina's voice is smooth. If you decide to listen to Lucy, you have to close your eyes as she sings and try and convince yourself that she's still a teenager. BTW, Lucy also did a cover of "Fix You", by Coldplay if you want to listen to it.
