One thing I have definitely noticed in the perfume space (and even the candle space) is that scents that pull more “masculine” or unisex tend to get stronger responses. So people just really don’t like it. That’s fine, different strokes for different folks, but it does not at all surprise me that some people had Invite Only as a scrubber.
I'm right with you on Vanilla Royal...I was blown away but didn't expect to like it. I think it is really special!
Love Burning Cherry Lovefest, but I love cherry fragrances! I am learning to like Vanilla Royale!
Invite Only 23 is my favorite Kay Ali fragrance. I like it better than Vanilla 28! (I never heard any snowblower, either.)

Hey Ilythia!! The Fenty scent officially launched in August 2021, but had few locations to purchase from. Online from Fenty Beauty and maybe one other website. Became available for purchase for the 1st time at Sephora in the USA in December 2022! 😄😄 Don't know if it is in store too. I don't currently have a Sephora near me. I love this perfume, but only tried a sample size.

Buying things just to review and then returning them is super wasteful since they end up as landfill. 😢
I don’t plan to return everything I dislike, and this is why I rarely buy just to review. I agree totally, that would be really wasteful. Actually the stores I’ve been to have told me employees get returned perfumes for free to take home, they don’t throw them out, at least where I live! 😊

I purchased a T&Co EDP gift set for my mother in law this Christmas. I saw that most people prefer the Intense but I’m actually glad I got the original for her. It’s “safer” I think since she’s not SUPER into perfume. Plus, if she loves the DNA maybe I can get the Intense for her later! 😊

Don’t know how original smells but I have intense version blind bought. I think it’s magical. I have so many perfumes but this one it’s special. I love powdery perfumes so it’s spot on.
Kayali Sugared Patchouli has a yummy opening, but the mid and dry down are totally gross, in my opinion.
I purchased Citrus 08 after watching Curly Scents going crazy over it. Unfortunately it is a bit screechy and smells cheap to me…lemony, woody and kinda weird.

I just picked up the fenty edp, it was a blind buy because no whee around me has it to test, but if I don’t like it I can exchange it, can’t wait to smell it!! Hopefully I love it!! ❤

Fragrantica is terrible at listing the accurate notes. They go by the marketing rather than what the brands actually list. Over and over that get them wrong.

I own and adore kayali invite only and vanilla royal. Sooo luxurious. I also like the lovefest but I found the performance was rubbish. 🤬
So how was the vanilla royale on skin? Did you still like it, how was the dry down? And does it last long on the skin x

Hi Ilythia sorry I'm late viewing this video, but I wanted to point out how weird that Fenty sounds like Fendi, a perfume I used to own years ago. Even the logo is similar. My Fendi was very expensive. 🌺💕

i am sad to say i havent tried even one kayali and i get so many mixed reviews i dont know where to start.
I would have bet big money that I would have liked Lovefest. I almost did a blind buy but I went to Sephora and tried it first. It wasn't for me at all. Too woody. I'm interested in trying the Vanilla Royale now.
Fenty is a beauty brand not a celebrity scent. Fenty is a beauty house.
I own Tiffany Rose Gold. Love it but the longevity sucks. Quickly turns into a skin scent. It’s a shame because it’s such a beautiful fragrance.
I wanted to love invite only but it gets very masculine on me. I think smells a lot like Sarah Jessica Parker Stash!?!

do reviews properly...why r u testing expensive fragrances on testers and not your wrist...you get a way more clear scent profile
I did say I was going to have to put them on skin! 😊 this was a first impression and I did mention I’d come back and update on them after having tried them on skin. Thank you for your advice though!

@@thesimplechiclife black orchid is such a bad comparison. fenty has the same incense middle eastern vibe sweet diamond pink pepper has. the dry down is just rose with sweet blueberry nothing strong about it as well
I wish all the Kayali bottles came in the transparent bottles. I find the original bottles far more sophisticated and pretty than the coloured ones.
I love the minis for this reason too, like to see the juice colors. But I think their full bottles are really nice too
