I was going to say the same thing. Her previous fragrances were released as celebrity ones. Fenty edp is released under the official Fenty house/official fashion brand under LVMH.

Yes exactly! The whole initiative is to create a designer brand that’s why it’s under the beauty line, and not just a regular release. She put thought and spend time in designing this fragrance to something that is meaningful to her.

Yet the Person that made this video makes that differentiation between Celebrity Perfuming and A Designer perfume.
She assumed that Fenty is a Celebrity perfume so it shouldn't be as expansive as her Designer perfumes that she has and goes onto talk about her own perfume.
Not properly researching that Fenty is a Designer and not a Celebrity fragrance.

It starts of spicy and then dries down to a “smoldering powdery bouquet” 💐. This fragrance’s “dry down phase” is where it shines the most. The longevity impressive.
So so true, at first I wanted to return it, but I tried it one last time, it starts out peppery then drys down, and smells so much better, definitely will we’re this in the winter or on a cold windy night.
Im blown away by this fragrance. Its awesome.
It’s wierd but…. I actually like it. Anyone who’s smelt it before totally gets why I’m saying that. The first time I sprayed it I wasn’t very pleased, not disappointed, but i was confused. Very feminine when you first apply, very floral in a way that made my tummy turn. It’s rosy at first, but also a bit medicinal and minty. Then after some few minutes it develops into a soft subdued scent, and it becomes more masculine. This is where I got disappointed because it sort of dies out, it doesn’t project at all and there’s this ‘old lady’ note that sits on your nose the whole entire time. I wish I could pick up other notes but all I was smelling was that dullish note, occasionally distant hints of vanilla and musk, which is comforting to smell because it balances the old lady note out. As the day goes you almost forget about it, buts that’s when the magic really starts happening! There are moments you catch whiffs of the scent and you wonder what’s that smell?? It’s haunting and hypnotic and mysterious, never really goes anywhere but it keeps you curious.Now I like it, for its ambiguity. I think they were onto something but they didn’t want to make it overtly feminine, so it’s really not an indulgent scent that pleases everyone in the room. But you’ll love it for it’s mystery. It’s also a good layering perfume because it can add some mystery on top of whatever perfume you routinely wear. Is it worth 140 pounds, no! For such an ambiguous scent with no standout personality I think that’s waaaay overpriced. But you know what, I might just spend 140 on it because it’s so hypnotic.
My favourite thing from the Fenty line is the Gloss Bombs! Such a good product.

I think everyone expected Fenty to smell like her “Rihanna” fragrances that were released years ago as well as they thought it would be like “love don’t be shy” which is why people dislike it so much. It took a while to grow on me but now I love it. i bought this fragrance when it first released (2021). I think it’s more of a cool weather fragrance. It’s different and sexy. And not for everyone.

Would like to smell this before buying. Not a really big fan of rose and oud together that much, I do have and love my Initio's Atomic Rose which has rose +oud so it's a maybe. Great review!

the site says the parfum is comprised exclusively of middle notes, and they are Magnolia, Musk, Tangerine and Bulgarian Rose
I got it on sale at sephora... I love it! It reminds of the Caribbean culture. The top notes and dry down is my favorite part ...the blueberries Tangerine coconut water and roses it's a bit cake like to me like something I want to eat...... then in the dry down the Vanilla and a bit of the LDBS vibes take over ...the mid with the geranium and patchouli is very reminiscent of astringent products used in the Caribbean to my nose... it's a bit odd and very comforting to me.
Soki, Could you please review Too Faced's 'Better Than Sex' perfume? Everybody seems to love the bottle but some people say they don't like the scent. When you read what the fragrance notes in it are, it really sounds like it would smell wonderful.

As much as I've tried to like them, Rhianna's fragrances are mostly a miss for me. Naked is ok, not good enough for me to buy a full bottle,and rebelle is alright too. I currently have both and wont be repurchasing. If you don't like it, I KNOW I won't.

These types of fragrance notes aren’t my vibe. I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews regarding this fragrance. Considering one of her fav fragrances is love don’t be shy, I’m shocked Rihanna didn’t make a more gourmand sweeter perfume.
Rihanna herself NEVER said Love Don't be Shy is her favorite perfume. It was a "Close Source".
She didn't own it to anyone to make a Gourmand fragrance. We the Public Assumed. Which we shouldn't because not everything said in the media especially tabloids is true.
Even till today Ri has never said she Loves Killian.

Soki question when a perfume is discontinued how is it still available on fragrance net etc for years after discontinued and the fenty perfume I had bought samples and I agree not my cup of tea.
I guess discontinued means they stop making it but there will still be stock all over the world still to be sold. If it’s not a mega popular perfume it will take a while to sell it all

This perfume was released over a year ago (Aug '21) here in the U.S. I was really disappointed with it. It smells just like a medicated scalp product called Sulfer 8. I kept b/c it's Rihanna's first release from Fenty. It's a no go for me though. I do visit it from time to time with the same result.
Yes I thought it was just me but it’s definitely mental in the beginning , the dry down is nice but I can’t get pass the opening and for that I cant do it

I love this! I got it when it first dropped back in ‘21. I love its unique blend of woodsy and spicy. At first sniff, it does take a minute to get used to.
The last tone connect me with old perfume my aunt was wearing it, if anyone can help to remind me about the name of that old perfume 🥺

Thanks for the realness! I’ve been waiting for this scent for a really long time and I’m just getting less and less interested, maybe because there’s TOO MUCH hype for this and I’ve watched so many reviews saying this is a patchouli and rose wood scent, and the thing is I have so many Oud rose scent fragrances I don’t feel like I need another alternative of that. This smells like rose, tangerine and dirt. I tried to give it a while, I only lasted 30 min. I can say, it LASTS! I couldn't get it off with alcohol, soap, witch hazel. I just kept smelling dirt/mold. Like I was sitting next to an old plant.
I have Rogue Rihanna for women and it is actually one of the worst perfumes I have ever had. It smells like dirt, leather and maybe oud. I have tried Fenti too and although It should be right up my alley it is not and it is not even longlasting on my skin.
This layered with Miss dior EDP - amazing , I honestly kept smelling it till the next day and it was still sweet, soft and also that spice note

I think everyone gets different things. Because the blueberry is sooo strong in this I don't know how you don't smell it that much. Fenty is special I think it's worth to have in your collection. It's unique . When you first spray it there's a menthol note that luckily goes away in the first few minutes (thankgod) I Definitely get blueberry citrus vanilla & spice . This is the most unique parfum I've everrrrr smelt
I like Rihanna as a singer,but...not the same things I can say about her perfumes ! In my opinion,Ariana has the best celebrity fragrances.
Her older perfumes were celebrity perfumes. This one is considered a Designer perfume under Louis Vuitton design house.

I realize good quality fragrances are pricey when fragrence houses use precious oils such as oud ( im personally not a fan ) but, come on! I wouldn't call this scent niche. I believe Jeremy Fragrance priced himself right out of the purfume biz...i do think Rihanna has launched a fantastic makeup line and admire her business sense..idk, the celebrity purfume trend is getting tired imo, seems it's just another market to concor just because they can🤷♀️ also, lacking in passion..unlike your humble journey Sophi, you know what i mean..it was your passion and dream to create your own fragrance line. I find it weak and short-lived. I love the blueberry and sweet orange but it is fleeting. Britney’s Midnight Fantasy smells stronger and performs for hours on me. This is a watery Midnight Fantasy - will be returning.
To me this is a pretty close dupe for Louise Vuitton ATTRAPE-RÊVES. I am not a fan of either one but to save those from spending 280 you can buy Fenty and save some money 💰
One is not celebrity fragrance. It’s designer fragrance. You can’t compare your price to the price of Fenty. Lol it’s the self promotion and ishing on the product. This is beautiful fragrance.

I definitely did not enjoy it. The hype train started when it was rumored to be discontinued. Then "everyone" said how great it was and the price shot up. Not appealing to me at all.
