A second s15 that's similar in setup to this one would be ideal. Definitely needs more seat time in the car. Every car he has built for drifting is completely different than the other
Adam needs more time in the S15, or like others are saying, a similarly built S15 dummy car to practice with. Not FD spec, but something that can be thrashed at Klutch Kickers to get seat time. Either that or just drive the FD car more and accept the costs/risks that would come with it. A few test runs at the compound after a massive setup change and practice laps the day before qualifying isn't enough and it's showing. You can get the car dialed to the track, sure, but you can't dial yourself to the car in so little time. It doesn't help that he regularly drives a LHD E36 and then hops into a RHD FD spec car with much more power/grip. I want to see him succeed but he won't if he doesn't drive his car outside of FD, especially when he has the pressure of performing dangling over his head.
Adam just needs to practice with the car more.. driving it a handful of times a year and expecting to be competitive just doesn't work.. You have the sexiest car out there Adam now let's just make your driving sexy💪

On the contrary this is one of my favorite fd tracks I've ever seen them use. It makes sense and evens the playing field a bit from the smoke machine vehicles like denofa with 1200hp. Also the camera angles are on point. Lovely track.
@@tubbstercole4987 Which kinda backs up what OP is saying. Its FD lets keep it top tier there are other for this reason or else the devisions get diluted and begin to make no sense. The track is dope but not for these cars. Also its pretty hard for tracks to be cool with drifting anyways so I'm sure its hard for them to even be able to host these events at better faster tracks.
@@Havok412 I think we have different opinions on what top tier means then. High hp alone and big smoke isn't what constitutes to top tier. I personally dislike the fact that the sport (in the US) has become more and more about big numbers. I personally prefer to see the more technical tracks truly challenging the drivers. It's why guys like Dean and piotr come across to the US and dominate. The standard of driving across there is just much higher than the US. FD US is so focused on the entertainment aspect and big smoke that the actual technical things that breed better drivers are being sacrificed.
I love watching you drift! You’re like super smart about the whole sport and just explain things really well I feel like. Makes me want to build a car!
In every run he never got close to the last zone. I’m a huge fan but you need more seat time in the car. A couple of months he said that he didn’t need seat time with his car because he drifts a lot. If you don’t need seat time then what is it that you need? We all know you have the skill.

Those shitting on Adam need to remember that he's still new to this level of competition, whereas some of the other competitors have been doing this for a decade.
He is not supposed to ''get there'' once in Pro 1. If he has to ''get there'' he needs to be brought back to PRO AM and let his spot to better prepared TEAMS.

Driving different cars shouldn't matter as a driver driving more cars and being able to adapt will improve you overall. The guy has one bad round and keyboard racers think they have the answers. He wasn't the only one having issues.

I don't think he is actually focusing on big angle. I think with the new bigger turbo its coming on really hard and brings the wheel speed up so quick that he is already too sideways and trying to catch it which throws him off line. I think a v8 would be perfect for his driving style. Just my opinion but I could be completely wrong.

Love the progress over the years and how your doing so far in your 2nd season of fd pro. But I’d love to see you build a lhd. Because that rhd is holding you back imo. I’m sure you will continue to progress with the rhd but with the negatives from driving a rhd pro car.. I’d be building a lhd car haha. Love the s15 and would be sad to see it go. But imagine the e36 at a pro fd level or a s15 converted to lhd. Would cut back on getting caught in the tire smoke... wouldn’t be jumping from lhd to rhd from clutch kickers to fd. Just numerous reasons to switch.
Lz cares too much about damaging his s15 and is too soft going into corners needs more angle. He needs to drive like he does at the compound just foot to the floor and go for it otherwise he’s not gonna get anywhere.
I love everyone in the chat and the comments hates on lz and how he places. He is still new in pro 1 and even won rookie of the year last year. It’s just dear time and experience that will get him the wings

That’s because he has more seat time in it and a lot less power. FD cars are all hard to drive because they’re so gripped up with so much power
That or get more seat time in the s15
That thing is always having issues. Not worth it. Hell have more fixing than seat time in fd.
@@toddbrown4185 no he didn't I believe I had this car before the e and it doesn't matter what car it's the pressure whuchbif everyone would just leave him alone and let him do his thing
all he needs is more sear time and he’ll be an absolute threat
Gotta keep pumpin on top otherwise your fan base will drop off bro. You have every reason in the world to get to the top of this game. Money, resources, support and time. Keep pushing Adam. Just like a tail whip on a fun box.. Can't do it first shot....
The track is kind of wack for fd to be honest but it would be sick for grassroots events
That's what I was thinking. The whole layout seems wonky and too small for these kinds of cars
On the contrary this is one of my favorite fd tracks I've ever seen them use. It makes sense and evens the playing field a bit from the smoke machine vehicles like denofa with 1200hp. Also the camera angles are on point. Lovely track.
Kinda sad that it used to be a drag strip and now is a shitty FD track but atleast its getting used I guess
Truth
He simply needs more experience not seat time, should not be hard to understand.
@@22Epic exactly. That seems to be something ppl confuse
@@22Epic “simply…” you know damn well he needs a little more of both.

Is that the culprit for the power going out? 😂
That was my exact thought when i seen that
Omg, I didn't even see that the first time around, I was looking at the guys on the ground X)

It was great to see this event in person! Got to meet Adam Johan Mike and Collette, and JimmyO! There was some great racing all the way to the finals. ProSpec was stellar too!
Too spicy! Second run looked OK. Tough first battle against denofa too
My son is there right now. He sent me a video of your run yesterday because we both watch this channel. Awesome event until lights went out last night and rain might be rolling in today. Fingers crossed the rain misses them today!!
Bro stop going 110% first run and you’d have a better placement .
The new rules support that type of driving though from what I understand.
@@dreamitautomotive1218 how by getting one extra run and having to go against denofa to make it to top 16 ?
Agreed its better to get points on the board then risk being zerod out

love u adam, ur an inspiration
As a newbie to watching FD I really like the explanations of whats going on with the car etc. Great vid - really coherent editing ;-)
Those shitting on Adam need to remember that he's still new to this level of competition, whereas some of the other competitors have been doing this for a decade.
It's so cool seeing the cream z, the full circle no one asked for, but the one we all deserved, you especially adam.

A lot of comment shows that people doesn't really know how motorsports work, and particularly at this level. You'll get there Adam, i believe in you !
He is not supposed to ''get there'' once in Pro 1. If he has to ''get there'' he needs to be brought back to PRO AM and let his spot to better prepared TEAMS.
Your missing the entire reason of why Pro 1 exist.
@@anthorc3035 Yeah except everyone in pro is trying to get to the top that's why they're there. More like you're underestimating all the other drivers skill just to shit talk Adam's skill. The other pro driver's are really good and have lots of experience. Some have been in the game for 10+ years. Its arrogant to think in Adam's second year in pro 1 he should be winning against everyone and downplaying the scores of people behind these other teams and the other Drivers.
All the other fd teams : WRITE THAT DOWN, WRITE THAT DOWN
THAT WAS ME 13:43 WITH THE MEXICAN HAT SHOUT OUT TO @MIKE YOU THE MAN
I think he needs a lot more practice off-season, or before events. Cause it’s seems like he’s ticking of each individual problem AT fd. Jus practice more and tick off the problems with car before getting the car ready for an event
As he gets more sponsors that'll be more reasonable but its so expensive to run these cars especially on his own dime
@@colinmanley7349 definitely, more money means more mechanics which means less time to service, but he did alsosay that tyres are a big limiting factor at the moment

Slow down breath and have fun that's what's all about right good luck
Such a main character of formula drift. You brought formula drift too me. Thanks for your great content! :))
I don’t get why he didn’t jus build an s15 demo car like everyone else for klutch kickers obviously a 200k pro car is going to be a handful and everyone saying he should jus relax and everything will be cool it’s not that easy you try driving in a comp with a 200k+ car with thousands of people watching and judging u let alone the millions of people on here everyone’s so quick to judge but a lot of you would spend all that money on a lambs and a Rolex to flex for the gram he’s risking a loss more then most people make in a year every round he’s self funded not like a lot of drivers

Adam needs to stick to one car. he drifts too many cars and shows in his lack of confidence in his s15. I don't think I've seen him do a single good lap in where he is in all the zones all the way through. Also, cant help but notice that he did so much better in his previous tire set up.

Driving different cars shouldn't matter as a driver driving more cars and being able to adapt will improve you overall. The guy has one bad round and keyboard racers think they have the answers. He wasn't the only one having issues.
With the clip 6:48 it was definitely a lot smoother and the revs seemed happier with what he was doing, seems that he found the sweet spot in the revs for the drift.

That 1 commentator for FD seems to have it in for Adam.
i feel like he focuses more on sending angle rather than actual line, a nice line looks way nicer than hucking angle straight out the gate and barely keeping zones. wanna see this guy on top, hope he doesn’t run out of motivation.
You're letting that space between your ears mess with you. Way too much difference in the way you practice to the way you qualify. Need to close that gap, turn off the brain and let the muscle memory do the driving. . . I know it's way easier to type than to do but the closer you get the better you're going to show and it would be lovely to shut the haters the hell up!

Can some one bright this guy that he was ONE POINT away to drop out... There was only 2 slots for 3 drivers. Adam got "2nd place with #85,
3rd place knock out was #84...
Only reason they gave him 2nd was because if LZ didnt make top 32 the weekend ratings drop 30%.
i was there today, i got to meet adam and it honestly made my month and my birthday. amazing day and got to my lzmfg wheel autographed!
think it’s time for a chassis or motor change. car seems super hard to setup, you’re never comfortable in it, always having the same problems. you shred in the e chassis would be sick to see that next year. bringing back lizardi vibes
I would say he needs a s15 practice car or a LHD conversion its not helping him changing from RHD to LHD
It may have been tough to follow but incomplete may @$$. Just keep on keepin on. Much like your TH-cam channel, it will take practice, risk, work, and time to achieve the same level of success you have off track. I have no doubt you will be a championship driver in the coming years.
adam you carry too much anxious when you are on official races. when you drift for fun you make no mistakes. take it easy and you are in top 3 for sure
Can someone explain to me why there is a sharp turn within cones in the start of a lap? I'm sure there is a reason, but it seems so unnecessary.
I think if Adam was driving a LS e36 he would be doing even better than he is. I feel like his driving style would benefit from a v8.
Yep I’ve been thinking this since the start of the season
Love the colors on that s15. Reminds me of pettys s15 from years ago
Does your dad still have that r32 you gave him a few years ago?

He seems a bit slow in comparison to the other drivers. Like they were in his door pretty good. Maybe there's not enough wheels speed now
He seems slow because his car has "only" around 900 HP, and it seems like everybody else is pushing like 1200 HP. 300 extra HP doesn't seem like much, but it can make a huge difference.
@@kasper_429 300 bhp doesn't seem like much? Bruh. That's +33%. That's a LOT.

Just created his own ''sponsor'' his own ''garage''. He like all the other drivers should practice more ''if they have the possibility'' and start from scratch. LZ became a good driver last year with enjuku. Most driver say it.... the TEAM is everything in FD. and most important... Practice with good drivers... they dont get to practice alot together soo im looking forward to mid/end season for every one to have got confortable again.. i understand everything was closed the past year and the practice was not the easiest to get done.
@@anthorc3035 he has his team! So because he pays for everything himself means he’s less of a man and driver? Your just ignorant. I did pro 2 and first year in pro 1 he won rookie of the year and placed better than drivers that have been in pro 1 for years.
