I've noticed that whenever you're out just having fun with your regular cheap drift cars you end up doing much better . I feel like drifting is like most other things you can't really be too technical about it you have to kind of go by feel . But that said you didn't do bad you just didn't do quite as good as the competition .
Its much different. In FD you have to put the tires as close to the perfect line as possible with speed and not allowing the chase car to be on your door. And then the chase is not about being perfect but chasing perfect and close as possible and doing this with top drivers. When he is having fun he is doing it vs much slower and less experienced drivers. I dont blame adam, some FD drivers been driving for 10 years and not won anything. Also yes his car i think needs some more suspension dialing
its not the same thing though. With grassroots competitions its not nearly as competitive, There's often a big skill gap between a lot of the drivers. In FD most of the drivers are top level, if you take drivers like Aasbo and Chelsea Denofa, they are both so good that the runs are usually dictated by splitting hairs and everyone in FD is searching for that competitive edge each at track, so if you go out there with a care free attitude you're very likely to get edged out even if you're a really good driver.

@@LFCEVO24 That doesn't change the fact that hes inconsistent and can barely break top 16. Everyone knows about the fake tactics hence why you have a spotter to see if they're running more or less grip and where you can catch them out to make up ground. Yeah a little conservative on the chase but a nice lead....seems like the combo of this track & that rear end re-build has the LZ team re-learning the grip / transitioning a bit. Thy first clip Adam was so deep in the smoke but kept his line. I remember getting lost in the smoke being a big issue the first couple years. He’s had the skill but it’s awesome seeing him find his patience and confidence when under pressure
Its gamesmanship at its best. You nailed it with just that one statement. This is drifting for sponsorships and podium wins. Kill mode even in practice.
Next time Adam! While strategy is important I think a 'let's just go and get this done' attitude might be just as important. But the atmosphere in person is so much different so its much harder to follow through the words even though u know what needs to be done! I truly believe you're one of the better drivers there as you have shown throughout so chin up! Can't wait to see more!!
honestly now with 2 videos of the overlaid footage, i personally find myself rewinding and watching the run again so i can see both. if the overlay stays, i would really prefer doing it the opposite with the out of car shot being the full screen with in car being smaller. love the videos and all the work everyone puts in.
Adam bro you got it you are your own worst enemy when you're just ripping at the compound you're one of the best there is but you let yourself get in your own head just drive and have fun man. Wish you the best of luck brother keep digging.
Just wanna give some credit to the filmer, this looks amazing and we really appreciate all of the hard work that goes into making something so beautiful.
talking about tactics, as you said its about knowing more about your car and extra more about your competitors cars, you need someone who can study other teams tack ticks and give you feed back on the time running against them, someone has to do the home work out there, other than that you still have all the support from us as viewers who has been noticing all the team accomplishments in last years, we see you LZ, keep it up :)
Adam really built his car to it’s up to standard, however I believe Adam is best when he’s not talking nervously, to many “maybes and I don’t knows”, go have fun like how you run with Denofa and Vaughn, just keep in mind it’s a comp, don’t let the car make you doubt, you control the car, you’re learning a lot. 👍🏽
Love how confident you are in the drift scene. But I want to see you get in your zone and really crunch down harder my bro !! I think you got what it takes , your talented all across the board . Good luck !
That was a great analogy yes bracket racing is a lot about the head games and now that you figured that out hopefully you can apply it I've got this overwhelming feeling we're going to be seeing you a lot more on the podium
I’m guessing by the short staff they definitely needed to keep it save otherwise not enough people to get the job done , good job Adam I love seeing you progress man !
Adam don't doubt yourself you are an amazing driver don't let your small mistakes hold you back you should always go out with the intent to win every lead and chase no question
Early exits suck, but every run is a learning experience for you and the team to dial things in, especially since this is only your second season in Pro. Going against guys with over a decade in the game, your lack of experience may show, but baby steps forward are still steps forward. In a couple years with more time under all your belts, you'll be a beast regularly visiting the podium.
Nothing to hang you’re head on man, you had a solid weekend. The seat time alone will help with those final two rounds. Vets just have the know how to stick it on your door and keep it there in any situation
I am constantly surprised about how much goes into an FD weekend. I feel like it’s kinda a flaw of the way FD is presented. It’s like there’s F1 and then Netflix’s F1 Drive to Survive Series, which shows you the background, the back story, the history, the detail into “how did we get to this point and what are we trying to do”. These videos make FD so much better in my opinion because of several reasons: 1) they are much higher production quality 2) they give you the background, the detail: and you know every team is out there doing the same exact stuff. Timing the other cars, breaking shit at the last possible minute, changing setups between tracks or between practice runs, etc. It’s so much more than qualifying and top 32.
I still vote to turn the other s15 into a identical practice car. Swapping and changing cars like he does can’t be helping. Keeping it simple with another car the same would definitely be the perfect combination. Once your comfortable driving a vehicle the rest will come naturally. Keep going hard man your time is definitely coming, mistakes only make you smarter. Keep on the grind
I don't comment much on Adam's video's but I feel the need on this one. I know Adam, you have a lot of money invested in the FD program and you want to be successful to help offset that cost, but I think some other people have said you are overthinking things and getting in your head. I cant even imagine the level of competition and the stress that comes with this, just remember you get to slide a car around a racetrack sideways at high speeds and potentially get paid for it. Go out have fun that is what it's all about
Your analogy with drag racing is so make sense, also the tune you put at night time and day time might effect some torque for your car so you have to adjust that too
When you said you had the faster car I knew this wasn’t gonna be good cause Dai’s sector times in practice and qualifying, he’s so calculated and runs about 80% which he has done his whole career and not in kill mode and in tandem he turn’s into a different beast, but like you said it’s a learning experience you’ll get him next time 👍🏾

All these people bitching about his attitude, they need to notice these things and use them to their advantage because when your at the top, that extra 1-2% chance is all it takes to bring in the dub
@@Danielism The thing to remember is that if Adam can see he is way faster by watching practive runs, then the opposition can see that too! ofcourse Dai gripped up his car to keep up with Adam! He knew he'd just get gapped otherwise.
We literally have a spotter taking lap times for everyone and we were seconds faster. That’s a crazy difference
who ever filmed this needs a raise, The quality is insane !!
Adam: my car is faster than Dai's car, so I should be able to gap him.
Dai, watching Adam record this video: hold sake!
Adam, it’s fun to watch you drift! I never really got into it until I watched you……….so thank you for introducing me to it!
You a a symbol of hard work and dedication in any discipline. Keep it up. I can't wait to see you win in FD!
Nothing worth it is easy and nothing easy is really worth it! Your a great driver and I enjoy watching you get better every comp!
Thy first clip Adam was so deep in the smoke but kept his line. I remember getting lost in the smoke being a big issue the first couple years. He’s had the skill but it’s awesome seeing him find his patience and confidence when under pressure
Good to see the Silvia up and going strong
Adam, The Car came back in one piece, you got valuable experience, valuable practice, and lessons in the game---money well invested.
Its gamesmanship at its best. You nailed it with just that one statement. This is drifting for sponsorships and podium wins. Kill mode even in practice.
That Holden ute @ 9:10 is sick!
Your runs, at this track, have improved so much from last year !
Keep it up man it was an absolute blast finally getting to see you drive. Keep your head up. Keep chasing that podium
Don't see a Holden Ute in America often 9:09. good to see them overseas.
i still remember watching his first drift videos and happy to see how much progress he made, keep it going adam
honestly now with 2 videos of the overlaid footage, i personally find myself rewinding and watching the run again so i can see both. if the overlay stays, i would really prefer doing it the opposite with the out of car shot being the full screen with in car being smaller. love the videos and all the work everyone puts in.
Adam bro you got it you are your own worst enemy when you're just ripping at the compound you're one of the best there is but you let yourself get in your own head just drive and have fun man. Wish you the best of luck brother keep digging.
Think your change of tactics to do more chase runs in practice was a good move!! Awesome to see your perspective as always 👌🏻😎
Good luck !
That was a great analogy yes bracket racing is a lot about the head games and now that you figured that out hopefully you can apply it I've got this overwhelming feeling we're going to be seeing you a lot more on the podium
i see country talking to Adam i can only think his giving him a big bro pep talk Shout out to all the brothers from another mother stay blessed.
Its always a treat to see one of your videos
You're getting so good Adam! Keep doing what you're doing and you'll get that energy building podium!!!
It takes years to shape a winner, safe to say Adam's on the right track. Keep on rocking bud never change that.
I don’t care what anyone says Adam. You’re progressing and you go out there and do your best. Keep humble and keep pushing brother! I love it!
the supercharger screaming on the BMW sounds truly amazing in my ears, I love it
Daijiro Yoshiara is a great driver with years of experience.
You're such an inspiration man your attitude is the best keep up the good work
Don't worry Adam don't let it get to you you're the best!!! Much love from Wallingford Connecticut!!!
As long as you keep learning, that’s all that matters! You rock!!! Be well!
These videos make FD so much better in my opinion because of several reasons:
1) they are much higher production quality
2) they give you the background, the detail: and you know every team is out there doing the same exact stuff. Timing the other cars, breaking shit at the last possible minute, changing setups between tracks or between practice runs, etc.
It’s so much more than qualifying and top 32.
Diviine edit my dude! i appreciate the synced in-car/3rd person shots. great work
Man, I was thinking the same thing. Probably a lot of work to do. And for getting the video out on Sunday as well.
Once again the under glow is sick🔥
I still vote to turn the other s15 into a identical practice car. Swapping and changing cars like he does can’t be helping. Keeping it simple with another car the same would definitely be the perfect combination. Once your comfortable driving a vehicle the rest will come naturally.
Keep going hard man your time is definitely coming, mistakes only make you smarter.
Keep on the grind
Whats the go with ve ute with hsv front bar at 9:20 cool to see that state side
Seeing you make the car go sideways gives me the big happy. Thank you.
pretty nice comodore @ 9:09
Mike killing it as always
Mike you killed it with the b-roll this episode. loved watching
Go out have fun that is what it's all about
Best content out here can't help my self but to watch all the way threw and fuckin vibe to the outro every vid
2:40 that shot right there looks incredible!
Finally he took his chill pil. Now time to build it up. Some times it's one step back to get two steps forward. So I think you did great 👍🏻
We all have good days and bad days, its how we handle them and you my friend are doing great ! Fd champ lz coming soon
Your analogy with drag racing is so make sense, also the tune you put at night time and day time might effect some torque for your car so you have to adjust that too
It seems like your just growing overall as a person Adam. Live and let live. Things will develop naturally.
When you said you had the faster car I knew this wasn’t gonna be good cause Dai’s sector times in practice and qualifying, he’s so calculated and runs about 80% which he has done his whole career and not in kill mode and in tandem he turn’s into a different beast, but like you said it’s a learning experience you’ll get him next time 👍🏾
Also you can tell when it came time for battle Dai's car had a shitload more grip in it... Brilliant strategy that Adam should employ.
9:10 Absolutely mint Holden HSV Maloo ute! 👌🏼🇦🇺
Love that you guys have got a ve maloo at the drifts over there! Doing Australia proud💪🏽
