I don't know why they didn't' postpone after the rain really came down, some of those battles were painful to sit though, they could have done better runs in crazy karts.
Its simply not that easy to postpone battles. You cant just delay it infinitely. Theres far more to competetion than just some drivers battling it out and viewers watching. All the crew for filming, judging, security, pit crews and so much more are all on a tight schedule. Many have flights or other responsibilities and you cant just say "well, if we cant finish it today lets just do it tomorrow." sadly. It would have been so much more expensive to the organisation and more stress on the teams than to just simply have a slightly less enjoyable battle. And after all adepting to the situation is still a way of competing. I was more sad that Forsberg had a mechanical issue and had to forfeit the final. That was more heartbreaking to watch, especially after the track just started drying up. In retrospect it was still an okay round but could have obviously had far more action.

I think even without the rain the speed of that track is definitely going to be under pace for everyone. It's more like a D1 course for 500-700hp. You still and always do kill it. I think people need more seat time to even understand what seat time means 😂😂😂
If you look at Adams lead and chase against Denofa you can clearly see that it is better than 50% of the other drivers that competed. If this was against almost any other driver he would have won
Other drivers later in the evening had STANDING WATER!!! Conditions were 50% worse for them... Look at Denofa's Run later in the evening. LZ let Denofa get away at the 2nd outer zone.... and straightened... The point of the chase is to shadow the lead... look at the runs side by side... It had nothing to with who the driver was... Denofa scored more points in his lead and chase. After the run, the judges even got on to explain why they made the unanimous decision.
@@1jzMKIII yes. I have no doubt that denofa did win because he was a much better driver. Still respect for LZ for doing as good as he did. Just unfortunate to end up as 32 qualifier and going up against denofa

I thought by the dry runs "he needs less grip for a better Line" and the wet runs absolutly proofed my thinking! With less grip you drive better, maybe because your other cars have less grip and you drive them all the time on the Compound Im not an Expert, i could be completly wrong, but MAYBE
After seeing whole FD NJ battles in very hard changing conditions (rain/wet/semi dry) on changing surfaces (concrete/tarmac) and also knowing a bit first hand, how difficult that is, I can say, that this battle was one of the best battles of that evening. Adam did awesome chase run, following Chelsea, staying on drift line and keeping car in drift zones. So many drivers failed so badly to follow drift line in chase and going more for proximity and failing miserably ... Lead run was very nice too, given the conditions. It vas a close battle and the only thing that made Chelsea win was his better experience in FD and his car. Great job Adam! Keep it up!

To me even though I'm not a professional or a judge but judging by the zones at which they wanna see you ender/exit Adams run was almost flawless seriously. Chelsea's run they make a huge note about how he bobbled his lead run and then slowed down to the point where it throws Adams line off. Chelsea's lead run was by far worse than Adams. But Adams lead run was perfect. You can't have a good follow run without a good lead run. You're expecting the other driver to hold a good line if they don't hold it that throws you off. This call should've been done as one more time. As you can't judge Adams follow run since Chelsea bobbled his lead run. Bad call imo.

That was a bloody good lead run and chase run dude, so proud of you. Keep it up man
Adam, its the people like you that make me smile the first thing when i wake up
I think even without the rain the speed of that track is definitely going to be under pace for everyone. It's more like a D1 course for 500-700hp. You still and always do kill it. I think people need more seat time to even understand what seat time means 😂😂😂
You were KISSING the wall on those rain runs and it was beautiful !! Couldn’t have been any more perfect in my eyes. What a BEAST
12:38 she's the cutest
Youre doing well man, real people know what's going on, stay positive brother, you're doing so great! Legend
If you look at Adams lead and chase against Denofa you can clearly see that it is better than 50% of the other drivers that competed. If this was against almost any other driver he would have won
keep inhaling that COPIUM
@@1jzMKIII the runs immediately after Chelsea and Adam were waay worse, guys were pulling 3 and 4 cars gaps and lots were straightening in that same spot. I think he’s right, adam would’ve had a good chance beating those guys with a run like this. I bet if they didn’t have a time crunch with the curfew at least one or maybe 2 of the judges would have given that a omt
Collette looking good as your new brolly dolly
I thought by the dry runs "he needs less grip for a better Line" and the wet runs absolutly proofed my thinking! With less grip you drive better, maybe because your other cars have less grip and you drive them all the time on the Compound
Im not an Expert, i could be completly wrong, but MAYBE
You are right nittos are really grippy and you can see he struggles with it
I honestly think he puts way too much time into car setup and data and over thinks everything
@@iceyd2226 he literally doesn't even have data for this track

One of your best runs, thank god for the rain keeping the smoke out your face. Much respect form the Caribbean.
The ones who say more seat time in a pro 1 car don’t understand that 1 day of seat time is there monthly income.
Keep it up!
Your a great TH-camr Dude. Love that you added the "official" event footage in this drift series. I'll be around...
I just gotta say, you came a super long way and fucken inspirational! Keep doing what you love! There’s a reason why we all watch you grow! Keep it real ADAM!
8:42 LMAO krispy's hat
the picture of you and collete in front of the car is awesome! That's something both of you can look back on when you're older and appreciate! The support you guys have for each other is awesome
Chelsea missed zones on the chase and had 3 corrections, really was surprised to see all judges side Chelsea
THIS IS MY OPINION
Chelsea is an amazing driver and someone that enjoys high quality battles over getting easy wins with tricks or sneakyness. I am so stoked that you get to drive with him, but he also is a really great mentor and someone that will help his competitors get better.
7:40 just casually feedin the geese
Somepoint in my life I'd love to travel from Scotland to see AdamLZ drift at a FD Day. Think it'd would be amazing! Keep up the good work Adam! Been here since the start and continue to watch you learn and get better!
Man you have made me wanna start drifting can't wait to get my licence
usually don’t need a license to drive at a track. have someone help you and trailer it there boom. seat time!

Mike is killing it with his cinematics! Absolutely phenomenal!
U doing amazing Adam
Everyone else has been doing this a lot longer than you… They were all the exact same as you. Don’t let these judgmental fools get to you
Adam has proved to us time and time again he can do amazing things whether it’s building cars, riding BMX or drifting and just being a genuine person! You can practice day in and day out but when you get to the track everything changes. The tracks different the track surface is different and the weather is different and it all affects the way the car runs and drives!
How did they vote 3-0 on that? You had a way cleaner run, in my opinion.
LZ had almost no proximity in his chase run, and had two mistakes on his lead. Over angled on inside clip, making Denofa choke up behind him, and then dropped a tire over white line before finish line. Denofa’s lead only had one correction, which was second outer zone, but again, LZ was nowhere near him, so they didn’t deduct many points for it. He also killed it chasing LZ, even kept proximity after LZ’s correction on the inside clip
Also they judge chase vs chase and follow vs follow and Chelsea had way less mistakes over all still a good battle though no denying that
Hey thanks for leveling with us on the seat time thing. 100% understand it and that's a skill that even us lame-o's who autocross have to deal with. There's a certain level of talent just in being able to sightread a course and send.
what happened? 10:48

Knowing this isn't gunna get read just wanted to share my piece.
I think the progress made is amazing and far beyond any other rookie in fd history. Major props to the team and everything they have accomplished.
Constructive criticism seemed to be the set up and finding a good balance on this track rather then seat time or driving. For those that wanted to comment that last video.
Adam, you’re good, and we’re here to support you 110%. You got this and you have our support.
Screw what keyboard warriors have to say Adam! The amount of progress and innovation you have done since starting FD has been nothing short of spectacular! Haters are gonna hate and skaters gonna skate 🤷🏻♂️ go out and send it buddy! We’re all supporting 100%
I think the judges are a bit more harsh on Adam. I’ve been watching fd longer than I have Adam and to me it seems that way but idk
I 100 percent agree with you, its like since the big drama about the fans in the fd chat they have been gunning for him.
@@kevinkruger9584 I couldn’t have said it better. The fd chat is so toxic because so many people want to know when lz goes on. And they don’t think he deserved it. But what he did in his pro 1 rookie year many drivers in pro 1 still haven’t done
@@leviwooten3795 🙌🙌🙌 couldn’t have said it better myself. But from what they talk about and say the judge for it would have been a one more time. And it was all 3 to denofa which didn’t have the better runs. But I’m looking from the outside in and it’s still awesome to see Adam going after his dream and hopefully will be more accepted sooner than later
@@leviwooten3795 LZ’s run was not flawless. You failed to notice his tire drop before finish line and the big correction he made on the inside clip, which made Denofa choke up. Denofa did have a correction on his lead, but LZ had almost no proximity throughout the whole track. Denofa’s lead run was not “by far worse” than Adam’s. They both arguably had similar overall scores for their lead runs if you add up mistakes. Not to mention how good Denofa’s third outer zone was compared to LZ’s
Adam awesome driving you looking better everytime you just stop thinking and drive your skill level is insane and for only drifting a few years now you’ll be on top before you know it if that’s what you choose to do 💯💯

Unreal that there wasn’t even a omt for Adam, his lead was better than Denofas which is what they’re supposedly judging on first.
They always do this man dirty
There seems to be a bias constantly against Adam, especially since he is going up against OG drivers always, never the less known
The driving was nuts! But I think that having Collette support as an umbrella girl was the coolest thing!

@@chokztogoo it’s when he talks about people talking about him not getting enough seat time
@@isaacridgeway2700 It made me lose respect for him. As someone who works to be humble and open to divergent concepts, Adam approached this subject with contempt. He holds a ton of responsibility, but he still has some maturing to do.
@@SovietAssault69 but you need to understand where he’s coming from. they have 2 weeks between each round and in those 2 weeks he needs to get the car back up to as close to 100% as possible then test it and depending on what they are dialing in he may not get to be in the car until he has to go to that round
@@isaacridgeway2700 I completely get that. But that is no excuse for his behavior in the offseason.

When that S15 first came out and he ran it in Pro2, compare his performances to now!
