Hi @indijay. Great to hear that you are that you are considering studies at the ANU, by and large, it is a great school. Although I was accepted into the PPE degree I chose a Bachelor of International Relations. Both degrees are fairly similar, and you can definitely shift between the disciplines if there is one you decide that you prefer. You should note that the ANU is cutting many arts based courses from this year. I would suggest that you look at the degree page (programsandcourses.anu.edu.au/2021/program/bppe) to see the specific subjects required in your degree. That really helped me when I was deciding on a degree especially the subject section, as the subject outlines are largely indicative of the subject. On this page you can also find whether the course is running next year. If you don't like any of the electives which you need to choose I would suggest you look elsewhere or in a different course as it is awful doing lots of subject you aren't interested in (but bear in mind there will always be a few subjects that aren't so interesting, however, I found that I LOVED many of the subjects offered in my degree so it evened out). Hi John! No, the state you live is not factored into your eligibility. You must apply through UAC, and the most important factors are your school results and personal circumstances. Though I would recommend speaking to your school careers counsellor or calling ANU admissions for further clarification. I came from a different state and I didn't feel that impacted my acceptance at all :) All the best!
