I personally love Jennie's tone, I think she is the one with the most potential among the girls, I think YG trained her as a rapper, but they probably changed their mind when they saw her potential to be a lead vocal, so sad she didn't have a decent training to become a good vocalist, anyway, I love the fact that Rose brings the pink part in the music while Jennie brings the black part with their voice!

They're honestly all great vocalists and have their own talents, but I prefer Jennie's conversational style of singing the best. Jisoo and Rosé can hit amazing, emotional high notes and Lisa really suits sweet and sad notes, but Jennie can sing like she's talking to you and does all these really fun, playful runs that I enjoy in every single song.

When you watch WIN (Winner's Survival Show) and Treasure Box you'll see how they trained their trainees. Mostly vocal aligned trainees get higher and much difficult notes thus they are trained to hit those notes. They teach them the techniques needed to reach those notes. As per the rappers, though they get some singing parts they only get basic vocals. So the techniques they learned was also basic. Jennie also mentioned that she was trained as a rapper but in Playing with Fire era she said she wants to focus more in her singing. So that means she doesn't get that much advance training in terms of singing

When you listen to boombayah and whistle her vocal parts were more basic than jisoo and rose whose notes is much higher or difficult. She just started focusing on her vocals in playing with fire/stay era. In that song she didn't rap or rap a little(in stay) and got much difficult vocal parts than whistle and boombayah. And she finally became lead vocalist around as if it's your last to kill this love era. Tbh in my opinion, Jennie improved her vocals the most among the group. She debuted as a bad b rapper but more well known as a great singer now.

My favourite voice in the group is Jisoo. You just can’t find her voice anywhere else, it’s so uniquely raspy and husky, and she’s done my favourite cover of the group with Yuki No Hana. If she got proper vocal coaching I think she’d be able to show more of her range, but she still maintains what she is given well and is so stable live.

Jisoo isnt the best technicality wise but I just love her voice. Her voice is simply enough for me, she doesn't need to style it as much as the others to sound great.
It's one of her best live vocals. The original video have autotune (even though, she didn't need that) so it's better watch the Fancam, cuz that's the "real" vocal.

Jisoo's voice is better than Jennie's. Jisoo's vibrato is better and her dark tone is better suited to singing as it has texture. Jennie's tone is kinda 'flat' and lacks musicality- reminds me of Dahyun and Irene (who's voices are better for rapping, like Jennie's)
I love Rosé's voice and I'm proud of how much she improved her vocals the most in the group yet fans don't realize that and downgrade her position as the main vocalist but she undoubtedly the most strong and unique one no matter how the others worked hard she will still be no.1 Jennie also improved her vocals I love how her and Rosé can compliment each other vocals so much and how flexible they can be (sour candy), I love her singing style soooo much like I want to know her secrets!!! People underrate Jennie’s singing technique as well. She actually does a vibrato sometimes naturally like that one LSG encore. She also did vocal frying in her first verse in KTL. Also you can here her diff vocal techniques in YNK as well.

All of the member's unique voices are what really drew me to Blackpink. Other girl groups like Red Velvet and Twice have very strong vocals but I find it hard to distinguish their voices from each other. Each member of Blackpink stood out from the other immediately but was still very harmonious. Each member's uniqueness helps attribute to Blackpink's overall popularity.

I agree that they are perhaps the group with the most individual voices-each of them have their own tone and style. Listening to them individually you might think they’re so distinct how could they even fit with each other but then you have them together and you’ll find that their voices compliments each other. Their harmony is very good, and they have improved a lot since their debut. They have more control now of their voices and seem to have found their strengths and they’re more aware of how to play with their voices.
Their voices is one of their power, they have 4 tone,different range,different color. The first time i hear their voices,i know this grup have 4 members before i know their visual ,something i cant do it with kpop girl grup.
My personal bias is Jennie entirely cause of her vocals, I love the darker edgier sound (same with Jisoo which is why she's second) But I want people to remember that having a "bias" or liking someone's vocals doesn't diminish the talent of the other members, Rose and Lisa are brilliant!
Just wondering have you heard Jisoo's version of Habits? I think she did that cover well. Also would you check group Aespa? They're from SM but they haven't done full live except some radio preformances. They're extremely talented girls and even sub vocalist is very promising.
Jisoo is my bias :) She has biggest potential to become best singer in the group, but yg don't give girls proper vocal training. Aespa is maybe vocally not so good as Red Velvet, but they are talented. I really don't understand why sm always use pre-recorded voices in aespa's live performances.They surely can sing.

After watching your MAMAMOO voices and style video I came to this. Both are excellent! I guess I am a Moo-Blink by nature. 😉 I wonder if it is better for female groups to be limited to quartets (possibly quintets like ITZY) for the best vocal performances? It seems once you get to 6, 7, or 9 members, the individuality of the singers is harder to discern, with only the most exceptional standing out. The larger groups also seem to key into dance routines even more as well. That makes sense because the talent agencies are building these "teams" to be most impressive visually in their choreography.

Each of them has a different tone color voice very distinctive. They completing each other. Yes, they don't have wide vocal range like Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce or Celine Dion but they have unique voice tones for example singer that have unique tones but didn't have a wider range of vocals is Adele. When Blackpink together their vocal range wider because their member completing each other, it means wider vocal range and also maximum of uniqueness.

She just started focusing on her vocals in playing with fire/stay era. In that song she didn't rap or rap a little(in stay) and got much difficult vocal parts than whistle and boombayah. And she finally became lead vocalist around as if it's your last to kill this love era. Tbh in my opinion, Jennie improved her vocals the most among the group. She debuted as a bad b rapper but more well known as a great singer now.

My favourite voice in the group is Jisoo. You just can’t find her voice anywhere else, it’s so uniquely raspy and husky, and she’s done my favourite cover of the group with Yuki No Hana. If she got proper vocal coaching I think she’d be able to show more of her range, but she still maintains what she is given well and is so stable live.

I love Jennie's voice the most and then Rosie's, Jennie didnt have much vocal training but she managed to debut as lead vocalist and honestly i think she has the most potential in BP to be extraordinary vocalist only if she gets proper vocal lessons

Jisoo isnt the best technicality wise but I just love her voice. Her voice is simply enough for me, she doesn't need to style it as much as the others to sound great.

Not once has live tuning made the voice sound better. Plus ive seen some comments about people who saw that performance. They said she sounded flawless

Jisoo's voice is better than Jennie's. Jisoo's vibrato is better and her dark tone is better suited to singing as it has texture. Jennie's tone is kinda 'flat' and lacks musicality- reminds me of Dahyun and Irene (who's voices are better for rapping, like Jennie's)
I love Rosé's voice and I'm proud of how much she improved her vocals the most in the group yet fans don't realize that and downgrade her position as the main vocalist but she undoubtedly the most strong and unique one no matter how the others worked hard she will still be no.1
Jennie also improved her vocals I love how her and Rosé can compliment each other vocals so much and how flexible they can be (sour candy), I love her singing style soooo much like I want to know her secrets!!! Jisoo need to have vocal coaching girlie has a huge potential but it seems like sometimes she don't really put so much effort like even Jennie has become better than her in some things, and people need to stop blaming YG for literally everything, Jisoo is a grown up and if she wants to have vocal lessons in anywhere she can I hope that she will prioritize that more especially in their next comeback or solo she is so unique and warm there's a reason why YG chose her as a trainee out of a lot of people, she is incredible and has a lot to show.
Lisa is limited yet for her positions and how much she excels at them she is a beast, her voice is sweet and she can sing probably she is not incredible but not terrible either she is good and can please your ears, I love how no one has nothing on her she's not a terrible vocalist who is only an amazing dancer no she is a decent singer who raps and dances sooooo well.
Blackpink isn't just fashion or aesthetics they are one of the best rappers, performers and unique vocalists in kpop and and all of them compliment each other and has the X-FACTOR.

People underrate Jennie’s singing technique as well. She actually does a vibrato sometimes naturally like that one LSG encore. She also did vocal frying in her first verse in KTL. Also you can here her diff vocal techniques in YNK as well.

All of the member's unique voices are what really drew me to Blackpink. Other girl groups like Red Velvet and Twice have very strong vocals but I find it hard to distinguish their voices from each other. Each member of Blackpink stood out from the other immediately but was still very harmonious. Each member's uniqueness helps attribute to Blackpink's overall popularity.

I agree that they are perhaps the group with the most individual voices-each of them have their own tone and style. Listening to them individually you might think they’re so distinct how could they even fit with each other but then you have them together and you’ll find that their voices compliments each other. Their harmony is very good, and they have improved a lot since their debut. They have more control now of their voices and seem to have found their strengths and they’re more aware of how to play with their voices.

Their voices is one of their power, they have 4 tone,different range,different color. The first time i hear their voices,i know this grup have 4 members before i know their visual ,something i cant do it with kpop girl grup.
My personal bias is Jennie entirely cause of her vocals, I love the darker edgier sound (same with Jisoo which is why she's second)
But I want people to remember that having a "bias" or liking someone's vocals doesn't diminish the talent of the other members, Rose and Lisa are brilliant!
Just wondering have you heard Jisoo's version of Habits? I think she did that cover well. Also would you check group Aespa? They're from SM but they haven't done full live except some radio preformances. They're extremely talented girls and even sub vocalist is very promising.
Jisoo is my bias :) She has biggest potential to become best singer in the group, but yg don't give girls proper vocal training. Aespa is maybe vocally not so good as Red Velvet, but they are talented. I really don't understand why sm always use pre-recorded voices in aespa's live performances.They surely can sing.

I wonder if it is better for female groups to be limited to quartets (possibly quintets like ITZY) for the best vocal performances? It seems once you get to 6, 7, or 9 members, the individuality of the singers is harder to discern, with only the most exceptional standing out.
The larger groups also seem to key into dance routines even more as well. That makes sense because the talent agencies are building these "teams" to be most impressive visually in their choreography.
K.T. Jisoo's low range is really spectacular, her airy sound after singing also makes her voice raspy and unique.

Each of them has a different tone color voice very distinctive. They completing each other. Yes, they don't have wide vocal range like Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce or Celine Dion but they have unique voice tones for example singer that have unique tones but didn't have a wider range of vocals is Adele. When Blackpink together their vocal range wider because their member completing each other, it means wider vocal range and also maximum of uniqueness.

I personally like Lisa’s voice the most. Now don’t get me wrong, I know FACTUALLY she doesn’t have the best vocals in the group (I think it’s a tie between Jennie and Jisoo because Jennie’s vocals are just insane and Jisoo is stable as HELL and I think Rosé sounds great when she isn’t dancing while singing at the same time) but I happen to like Lisa’s voice the most, she is the only one that can make me FEEL things. Which I really love. I also think we haven’t even seen half of her potential yet. Can’t wait for her solo that’s coming out soon!
