I've been praying that they'd remake this for the PS3 then the PS4, it has to be my all time favorite game ever i've lost count of how many hours i played it or how many times i played it through to the end. Best Crest for me was the Malice Crest.. totally fantastic

This is a game that Capcom should've continue building on....it was great....I love it a lot that I've played this game over a hundred times back then....it seems to me that Capcom didn't want it to take away devil may cry number spot....but it wouldn't because it's a game with it unique style of powers and summoning legions to help you on your quest for vengeance..... please Capcom bring back chaos legion.... it's about time.... chaos legion 2 anyone?
upgrading the legions felt so good, being able to summon a bunch of the sword guys and change them from offense to defense while mowing through crowds of enemies was so satisfying.
DMC 2 wasn't that bad, it wasn't that good either 😂 but not as bad as people went on, still playable if you wanted to replay the series, not a complete skipper
I wouldn't mind if Capcom putted DMC2 on a freezer to focus on this game more, improving the gameplay mechanics, making it more fluid and all, and then release Dmc2 years later as a much better game lol
the ps2 era, you found games that not many come across. going into second hand stores and stumbling across games like this brought me alot of joy. these days you just can't find games like this anymore. miss playing this game.
The music was on point. So good had to get the soundtrack and would listen to it repeatedly. Thought it was cool how the music would change when legions were summoned.

Hahaha while there are indeed some similitudes Chaos Legion was based on an already existing franchise, novels to be precise, so it couldn't really end up being tied to DMC. This game covers the first book out of seven or so.
@@gunswordfist Hahaha it's a really obscure novel series (in the west at least) so it's not surprising. That said it's not so much a spin-off, more of an abandoned adaptation as they only did the first book as a game and called it quits. Shame, as the gameplay was interesting, and they had a lot of material to use for future games.

i remember this being a great graphix ! I couldnt remember anything about the name, so started researching games like final fantasy, than remembered it had a charachter whos name is similar to thanos, so googled, thanos, thantos, thentus etc.... That remembered that it was THANATOS ! Still took me ages as i couldnt remember the name, and there are plenty of games with thanatos lol.... For anyone trying to fix vertical lines on pcsx2. Go to plugin settings (GSdx settings) tick "Enable HW hacks", click advanced settings and hacks. Under "upscaling hacks" tick "Align Sprite"
