Really appreciate your real honest approach to explain everything. I have a 2013 forte and added a can, but I think I didn't put enough in it. I still had warm air coming out and the motor was reving up to about 2k rpms and drop back to normal. The engine stopped horsing the rims when I shut the ac off.
WOW, what a very informative video!!! I have the same exact car and checked out your video and duplicated what you did and we have ice cold air!!! If I’m not wrong I believe that if the air starts getting cool and not cold in a short amount of time you can put the gauge on to see if is losing pressure and possibly have a leak..

Ac just stopped blowing cold air. Ive never serviced the ac during the 80k ive put on it. hoping just only needs a recharge.😊
My car AC is throwing hot air more than the normal even without AC on. When I keep fan on 1 and temperature at max without AC on it is throwing lot of heat than usual. What might be the reason? Thank you
Hi Phil! I have an '07. A little different under the hood, the ports are more visible, left of that hood. Thanks for the video, JustAnswers connected me to it. I bought a R134a can similar to the one you had at the beginning without the hose. Is it ok to detach and use any hose from an old can? Which is what I am going to do. Also bought an adaptor for it. Thanx!
You may have a leak in your system. I would put the gauge back on it after 24 hrs and see if it’s still at max. If it drops then you have a leak. You may also have a compressor issue.
i tried compressing the valve upward to place the cap on the low end filler place but its not snapping on correctly yes its the low one in rear of compartment not the high one , not sure why its not connecting

I did notice leakage caused from me not putting it on tight enough however it seems like some got in. I’m still getting hot air. Should I try another can or get someone experienced to do it. I have a question about my 2015 Kia Rio. So I have already charged my ac system and the pressure is great but I've been struggling with my AC not getting cold tell I give the car gas or start driving. After that I usually don't have issues. Even when I stop the car. I have changed the Cabin Airfilter. It looked like it has never been changed. It still does it though. Could there be an issue with the Evaporater being gummed up or something. Also the Fan for the condenser is fine and works as it is supposed to. Any advise? I am a mechanic but not an auto mechanic. Mostly Diesel powered equipment and turbine engines. I'm just learning this AC stuff. Thank you
@@PhillipsVision the compressors clutch engages fine. At least when I check it. But I agree it's hard to say without actually checking it out your self. I appreciate the reply. I just don't wanna go through the trouble of replacing it and that not be the problem if I can go through everything else first

The hose with the gauge can be used with a new can, just attach the can to it

Not sure what you mean. Are you asking which port to connect to? If so, there is only one that the recharging hose will fit on.

Thanks for comment. You can add another can but make sure you watch the gauge, you don’t want to overfill.

Will not effect heat. I would refill it with a stop leak as well if you think you have a leak.

Make sure the o-rings get installed without getting damaged. Those will leak if damaged.

Without actually diagnosing it, it’s hard to say for a fact. It could be the compressor

Are you sure you’re connecting to the correct line? There are other lines under the hood that look similar.
You can't connect a low pressure adapter on a high pressure port just for future reference if you didn't know
