The TMIC always get so much hate. Yet the Nurburgring 24 hour cars run them, the Isle of Man record breaker car ran one and the WRC cars that won championship ran them. My first upgrade on my GC8 and GF8 were to upgrade TMIC to Version 8 STi with Samco or Perrin Y Pipe. I always found spool much quicker and stronger than FMIC cars.
Am I the only V8 owner and builder here who absolutely ADORES the sounds of a big turbo STi? 🙌 👏 They sound so angry under WOT, all the turbo noises mixed with the boxter screams. 🤤 😋
Pretty sure FP updated their aero on the FP Green not too long ago, its now a 61lb/min turbo. I am at 500whp at 4500ft elevation on a mustang dyno with a green.

Surprised its holding that much on a stock block. My Sti is a very similar setup but its at 450whp. But with a front mount intercooler and it has forged internals and a sleeved block.
Great work Josh! I have an FP Green HTZ as well with a built block, ported heads and GSC S1 cams and +1mm valves, beehive springs, etc. Running 9.0:1 compression CP pistons. Hit 460hp/454trq at the wheeld on a Mustang dyno with E60 @ 27psi boost. I was running ID 1300x injectors w/walbro 450. Do you think those #'s are on par? I thought I would of hit around 500whp with my setup. Also running a 3in core FMIC. Wish you weren't so far from NY bro. Love the channel though.
Thank you for the support sir! We used to always use a mustang dyno to tune on til that shop shut down. Little behind the scenes information, I’m in process of trying to buy that dyno right now. Mustang dynos are known to rear lower than most but it really depends on if the dyno calibration has been changed. This setup on the mustang dyno we used would make 360-370whp on pump 92 and 400-420whp on e85 to give you a better idea.

Do you ever think to change the 3 port frequency to get rid of the hefty wastegate chatter? I went from 20hz to 30hz on my tial 44mvr and it’s night and day. Sounds so much more crisp.
I have actually, I do ask if they want the chatter or not anymore. Most like the chatter, I do myself too so that’s why you see it stay most of the time.

Boost gauge looks like it would hit 26 and then go down to like 10. Probably system doesn’t like to go past stock you can hear the car in boost it’s just the screen
Factory gauge programmed to wrap around once maxed out. It goes back to zero and reads boost car is running. So since the factory gauge only reads 24psi, it’s wrapping around and showing other 2 psi

Thank you for watching and your support sir! Yes we do it on same completely flat stretch of road to keep things as accurate as we can. Usually virtual dyno is within 3-5% of dynojet numbers. We keep things as conservative as we can with it and have backed up the numbers we claim with trap speeds at the track with the higher power cars.
It did perform better than expected, but keep in mind when it does get heat soaked its not as easy to cool down as a proper FMIC setup. This intercooler is limiting factor to the car.
Bader, question, im looking to hit 550 to 600+whp but no more than 650, I'm debating between Precision 5858, 5862, 6262 or 6464, which one would you recommend? I was about to get the Garrett G30 series but overpriced and i heard precision performs better, just only add a oil pressure regulator

So I have a question guys my car does not engage 3rd gear but I also don't hear a grind anything it just revs but 1st 2nd 4th 5th and reverse work just fine no grinds in any of them oil I still super clean as well
@@marcusmac918 No grinding sound makes me think it's a shift linkage bushing that went bad. Since it's a 2003 It wouldn't shock me that a bushing went bad over that time.
Bader I know you may not see this but my 19 sti just got tuned, it has an FP red with 1200cc injectors and front mount accompanied by flex and the entire fuel system being upgraded and the normal upgrades but did 425 whp at 23.5lbs of boost with flex fuel on a mustang dyno, was my tuner just being super conservative or do you think that’s all it has? Hopefully you see this

Mustang dynos typically read on the low-side. But with all that was done to your car, I feel like there is more in it. Maybe your tuner was pretty conservative when pushing your car but who knows 🤷♂️ hit em' up!
This is correct depending on how the dyno is calibrated it can read low. Our previous mustang dyno we used this setup would made 360-370whp on pump 92 / 400-420whp on e85. To give you an example. This was a true oem mustang dyno calibration, no modifications. We proved time after time with trap speeds at the track that this dyno read really low. That’s why you always hear me say dyno numbers are just numbers. We all want them but all that matters at the end of the day is the customer being happy , and letting track trap speeds back up the car.
Is that aos in the stock mounting position? That aem strut bar seems to clear it perfectly. Any adjustments or no because ive been looking for a strut bar to clear mine

I went with a garret gtx3576r and am pushing 580hp. I’ve had no problems after daily driving her fir 2 years.

Pump gas would range from 360-400whp depending on dyno / tuner. Flex fuel will range from 400-500whp depending on same thing.

That is in oem fitment, no alterations. Best strut bar I’ve came across for fitment

Max’s out stock gauge at 24psi and is programmed to then wrap around back to zero to show the additional boost
