It’s great to see all the positive comments on my set up! It’s not big and fancy but it’s as all techs say “a work in progress” i just ordered more tool grid attachments to fine tune the organization such as tool grid wrench holders, more socket holders, and lots more.
This was a really nice box. I was thinking you should do celebrity TH-cam Mechanic box tours like Scanner Danner or eric-o or super Mario would be awesome
This is an awesome setup. Love to see the transition between beginning and experienced techs. Cool to see a lot of the beginner tools still hanging about. So many great options these days.
Cool tool grid! That's sick, in a perfect world I would do all my tools in tool grid. The dealer I work at has those Rousseau boxes and I'm not a fan. I miss working out of my snap on box everyday. Awesome video the subscribers are pouring in dude, keep up the good work! I can't wait till you have like 50k subs and I can say I'm an og from before you even had 1k 😂👍
@@ToolBoxTour every toolbox has a trick up its sleeve. At this rate, I’m learning so much about tools I never seen, it’s making everyone else mad jealous.
@@ToolBoxTour you should make a summary video after every 5 toolbox videos and point out things you liked the most or what got commented the most. Then answer a few questions people had so it doesn’t get lost in the comments. Thanks
Tool grids area love hate in my book, It looks so clean and dialed in but I can't get over some of the drawbacks but thats a hell of a deal on one! Awesome setup, those Cornwell carts and boxes have been peaking my interest lately 🤘
@@ToolBoxTour To start let me just say I feel like there is pros and cons to any organization setup you can find out there. For one is the cost of a tool grid as he stated, he got a killer deal on that kit which is probably like $400-600 normally. For that price point you can buy a lottttt of quality organization products. My biggest gripe about a tool grid is that you are quite literally locked into using what layouts are existing. So if you line your sockets up in a row at some point a socket will be too big to occupy one tool grid hole and then you have to jump to the next hole, creating a gap in your row and spacing out that line of sockets. This is inevitably going to happen again and again as the sockets keep getting bigger. And there is no way to tuck tools closer to one another even though there may be space the option on that screw board doesn't exist. I not here to knock anyones choice on their layout, I absolutely love how a well thought out tool grid looks. But there are instances in my own box where I would not have the space to fit something because it limits you to predetermined positions.
Thanks for your input! I have been in the market for some tool organization systems for my personal box, and there’s just so many to choose from. I will take what you say to heart when I’m getting ready to purchase. 👍
@@ToolBoxTour I've spent a lot of time staring at my drawers and studying the tools I own to make them all fit in my setups as efficiently as possible lol. Every box and tool collection is different so don't just go by my opinion, really sit there and measure things out, move stuff around, and study how it can all fit together and the layout thats best for you will eventually present itself!
@@TalkinToolsI’m a cornwell dealer, and I’ve never had a drawer cost more than $250-$300 at full retail, just for reference. That’s with the board and pieces for 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, and ratchets.
I want dewalt to make the right angle impact if they dont come out with one soon thats better than the kobalt i am going to get the kobalt cheaper and battery are cheaper and for a second battery platform i cant justify getting milwaukee
You look really similar to another youtuber Changing The Industry Podcast. He’s got more of a southern accent but I thought it was interesting how similar he looks.
lol tech in the video here, of course I know I can covert in lb to nm and I have but like the above comment that gets old and it’s nice having the right tools for the job. Plus my 1/4 torque wrench is one of my first ones I ever got and it’s from harbor freight
@@trevorsearcy9788 I get that but I've been using tq wrenches for 18+ years i still can't justify paying for another just just to avoid pulling my phone out and using my calc app in 5 secs. Having the correct tq wrench ranges for your job is more valuable than having 15 of them in different units of measure
Amazon van techs are cool. Amazon drivers suck. They delivered the same package to two different houses in my neighborhood, and my wife had to spend 4 hours driving around the neighborhood to find out where it was sent.

It’s never ending! 😅
The tool grid organization looks amazing. I'm going to have to order some now
Same just space oriented. ❤️
How did no one ever think of going around doing tool box tours? Lol its actually a great concept! Another awesome video!🤙🏾
Thanks for watching!
The more I see these Cornwell boxes the more I want one. Trevor has a really nice setup.
Yeah they’re super nice. And this one is massive!
I enjoy your videos. I appreciate you adding tool numbers. The interaction and explanation from the various techs is awesome.
Thanks for posting.
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
I agree the part number and price is amazing 👌
I love how clean their shop is. The shop I work at could never look like this
Same here. The last shop I worked for had a layer of grease we walked all over. Basically 40 years of grime stacked on top. Thanks for watching!
thats Mercedes for ya, in all aspects really. Very surgical/hospital vives 😅
Im addicted to your videos. I’ve been working as a tech professionally for about 8 months now and I’ve already paid 12k on tools/boxes😅.
Good to see a tech not afraid of using non tool truck brands
I’m doing that light setup. So awesome. Thanks for the tour.
That light makes it look like the shop was dark, but it was just SO bright! Thanks for watching John!

Wow that tool grid is really cool, Thanks for sharing!
I thought so too! Thanks for watching!
I like how clean his tools are.
Right? Nothing beats clean tools! Thanks for watching!
Loving this channel man! I enjoy how you go to different shops in different fields- auto, moto, RV, etc
Good stuff man! 🙌🏻
Thanks for watching Ian!
The quality of these videos is off the charts man, thanks for providing such great content 🤙🏻
Thanks Matt! That means so much 🙏
Do you go around to local shops and ask random techs if they would be willing to do a toolbox tour? I think this is pretty awesome
Some times I do that. I usually just solicit on marketplace - offering a tool in exchange for a tech’s time.
I work on nothin but sprinters in Alaska. Cool stuff!
That’s awesome! Thanks for watching from Alaska!
I love that you do this. I enjoyed seeing this vid. Thanks. Watching from Ontario Canada 🎉
What a great channel! Love the tool box tours! That cornwell box/cart was sick 🔥
Thanks! And thanks for watching!
Nice little setup. So many different ways to set up a box! I'm diggin the channel👍🏼

I wish we could have seen his van specific tools for getting in all those nooks and crannies
mac truck been my favorite too we lost our mac driver had a new one next week
is it possible for you to do more Euro Dealer technicians and Asian like Honda. Great video by the way👍
As soon as I get someone that would like to give me a tour, I will get it posted!
Sweet setup

I have the same box what’s the tool grid board measurements for it ?
That dead blow hammer has seen better days

Yeah at Kobalts price point, they’re hard to beat in terms of value. They make a decent assortment of tools as well.

7:32 please tell him torque conversions exist 😅. He doesn't have to have a specific newton meter tq wrench for German.
That’s true but having to convert every single torque spec from the book gets annoying after a few days.
