Kirstin Maldonado is from the acapella group called Pentatonix and Jeremy Michael Lewis is from a group from the show Sing Off. He was her boyfriend/fiancé during this time. I totally agree - their arrangement is out of this world. I love looking at Jeremy through the whole video and especially when Kate from Voctave gets hight into the sky with her vocals: he looks like he can't believe what he's hearing and is just in awe, that he can be a part of it
I feel pretty blessed to get to listen to some of the members of Voctave perform live all the time at Epcot's American Adventure in Walt Disney World since they also perform in the acapella group called the Voices of Liberty. =)

They're a new benchmark and Jamey Ray (Tenor/Baritone in Voctave, seen here in the dark red shirt) is their arranger and founder. How this man hasn't received a Grammy yet is ridiculous. He manages to make me like songs I never even liked prior to his arrangements and then has a bunch of the most talented/extensively trained singers you could find, throws it at you in roughly 3/4mins like they expect you to still be ok for the rest of the day and what they just did was normal?! They are a blessing to have around!
When I look at your reaction to this piece, I think what a great gift you and I have been given. That we are among those who can hear this sonic splendor at all. For a lot of people, it's just a song. They don't have the musical ear or the musical education that would allow them to appreciate that beauty. The perfection of the arrangement that covers just about every audible frequency, the wonderful symbiosis of the soloists and backing vocalists who even switch roles during the song. Even Jeremy himself shakes his head with a smile at times during the song, not understanding how so much musical genius can exist in one room. And just when one thinks that everything is coming to an end, there is that hellish penultimate chord full of tension to bring the final release. But the genius doesn't end with the music - even the song selection itself is great. Love medley - but each song represents a different kind of love.
Kirsten and Jeremy are perfect and the choir especially Kate with her Soprano one voice is spectacular too. Love how much you are appreciating the music along with us. I think this one broke you Dave 🐱
I watch you do reactions to Home Free, VoicePlay and Voctav, but until today (going by your playlist) that you haven't reacted to Pentatonix. Home Free, VoicePlay and Pentatonix are the Trifecta of a cappella. Pentatonix is one leg of awesome music, they've done many covers as well redefined Christmas songs, and have also written their own music. Their story of starting out and the work they've done is inspiring. They've won 2 Grammies for their arrangements and one with a collaboration with Dolly Parton. Start with the first Grammy, Daft Punk medley and go from there, chose anything they do, all are upgrades.

Only thing about this video. I wish The 2 main singers volume was higher. Background singers are kind of over powering them lol
