    kinda strange to have an rc channel and not understand that u just need some decent lipos with some punch instead of that barbie battery u have. u put a 100c lipo in that buggy and the description on the box won't sound so cheesy anymore

      LMAO!!!! I have tested 14 different 3s LIPOs in that car including a 150C SMC 6,500 mAh. I now have possibly the fastest Traxxas Bandit on the internet at 3s (nearly 100 mph) and you are going to talk to me about LIPOs!!! 🤣🤣🤣 My Bandit has gone 78 mph on 2s on a Liperor 50C 5,000 mAh LIPO that has slightly outperformed a 130C Gens Ace Drag Pack 6,100 mAh LIPO. Guess what, that discription on the box still sounds cheesy to me and anyone else that looks at it objectively.
      You are going to be hard pressed to find many channels that have done more testing than I have on 3s LIPOs.
      You know that C ratings are almost always exaggerated, right? Well no, obviously you don't but you should. That 35C LIPO in the Bandit has outperform 100C LIPOs. That 35C LIPO performed nearly as well as my 135C SMC 5,200. Come on man..... you are lost. 🤡

    I was just thinking, Traxxas is really missing a great opportunity to sell overpriced modifications. After the * or ** on the box , to keep with their aviator theme…adding text stating with optional weighted nose cone (number), the Bandit can better handle its jet like thrust and velocities while keeping the front of the car planted and no longer pointed at the stratosphere…..

    Crazy fast Bandit. Great idea adding the extra weight on the front end. Totally enjoyed watching this video. I bet it would make a great sand rail with some larger back tires and lower gearing. Awesome 💯%

      Thank you! The extra weight made a big difference in the handling! Thanks for watching and I am glad you enjoyed it! I really appreciate the feedback/comments.

      Thanks man! I really appreciate the kind words! I try.... but man it is hard to grow it! I care mostly as I like to get free products to test/try out and of course the bigger the channel the better off you are of course! Seems like you are doing really well!
      The ole Bandit isn't as impressive as it was like 15 years ago (I don't think it changed much over the years) but it still has a lot of positives. Parts are everywhere, it is pretty durable, and performs decently for a basher/fun car. That being said, with WLToys and Rlaaro out there now among others, there are some really solid budget options too! I would like the Bandit more if the Traxxas wasn't so slimly of a company.

      Here is the video of the Bandit on the 2 different 3s LIPOs - both made by the same manufacture and how different the speeds were! th-cam.com/video/mbJu_zVdpas/w-d-xo.html I couldn't fit that specific 5,200 mAh in my Raider but I fit a soft case 5,200 mAh and I saw similar gains in speed when going up from the 2,200 mAh LIPO.

    I wanted the bandit cause it looks cool and fast but my area is super rough terrain, so I got the stamped, weird truck but it is specially fun. Great video!

      Thank you, I appreciate it! It was my sons but he never uses it. I think you made a good choice. The Bandit doesn’t like grass or rough stuff for sure.
      I got an Arrma Big Rock for my off road fun.🙂

    I wonder if you couldn’t find a set of even smaller front wheels help - it’d bring the nose down a bit - maybe some alloy jobs so you wouldn’t be losing weight🤷‍♂️
    I don’t know what I’m even talking about but it would be pretty cool to see this thing hit 70!

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I bet that would really help! Sounds like a good idea for sure! Though, my old cell phone hates the idea. 😆
      The only issue is I am really cheap and I already bought a set of Anaconda tires and wheels for the front.🫤😂. That an I probably will run it once at 80 mph and never do it again…. Or at least not often. 😝
      Oh, and it actually just hit 71.5 this time out and I am going to shoot for 80 next time!

    Nice you got it I was going to say lower it down and find a wing or make one with less down force

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks.
      That rear wing seems totally unnecessary as it was pretty solid (other than the tires ballooning too much). Maybe I could lower it a bit… but I just need to be “careful” of that cell phone under the car. 😂
      I have been wanting to do this for well over a year but finally got around to it. The car really quick enough stock so I just never made it a priority!

    I currently have a brushed Slash 2wd I’m doing some mods to, it’s going brushless, slipper clutch delete, locked diff, new coilovers, and probably some new wheels and tyres, and I’ll be happy to hit 100kph, it’s more than fast enough for me. I’ve got an old school original Bandit, and I want to buy a new one and really work it over. I was almost going to buy a used monster truck Traxxas with the og Bigfoot body but it was a 3S brushless. If I knew I’d get the slash I would have done it and swapped all the electronics over from each car. Maybe I’ll still buy it. Your car looks damn fast though, it’s a bit of an exaggeration by Traxxas, but I guess if everything is perfect they might make their claimed speeds.

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally agree 100 kph is plenty fast!!! I have mine up to 125 kph and soon to be over 135 kph and it is kind of silly… have to drive to a speed run spot to even approach those speeds! 😂

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      What esc/motor combo are you getting? Why do you want to delete the slipper clutch?
      If you want the Velineon system here is a great deal but of course there are more powerful and cheaper options out there…. With more functionality. jennysrc.com/collections/bandit-vxl-24076-3/products/christmas-deal-velineon-3500-vxl-brushless-motor-rand-vxl-3s-combo

    try it with 100c+ batteries . you need a front wing to and put Tire weights on top where the servo goes

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comments! The funny thing is that 35C Sypom LIPO outperformed my 50 to 80C budget LIPOs. I would love to get a higher end 100C or higher LIPO... maybe one day! I just ordered the 35t pinion and I think I have a good shot of hitting 80 mph. Do you have any advice on a good front wing? I wish I could also find a rear wing that didn't have such a big scoop on it.... it provides way too much downforce at high speeds!

      I am not sure I am following? It came with a 26 tooth in the car and a 28 tooth with the kit. Neither will get the car close to 70 mph.

  • @Camdat1967
    @Camdat1967 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Bro. You are using a 35c battery. No matter what speed you are trying for you would go so much faster with a 90 or 100c discharge rate. I have 100c 2S batts that are quicker than 25c 3S batts. (Both are 2500 mha).

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would think so but that simply is not a true statement. It depends on the brand. Almost all LIPOs have grossly exaggerated C ratings. Sypom is one of the few that don’t exaggerate their ratings. It has way less voltage sag than most of my LIPOs rated at 50 to 100C.
      I tested a high quality 135C (the manufacture comes right out and says it is a fictitious number but is needed to stay in line with others claims) LIPO in a later video and got it over 76 mph. Then with a LIPO rated at 75C I hit 77.6.
      I had several 50C LIPOs hit 71 mph and a 100C that hit 73 mph. The 35C Sypom crushed them…
      Thanks for watching and check out my spreadsheet in the SMC video if you want to see all the stats. I am currently testing 3 more 3s LIPOs and should have the video done in another week or so (My Arrma broke down during testing delaying things).
      Also, 100c is nonsensical in a 5200 mAh LIPo as that would be over 500 amps!!!! My ESC can’t handle that nor can the battery connectors! They would fail. Don’t believe the BS.👍. Even a true 35C would provide 180 amps which is PLENTY!
      Check this out at 17 min in th-cam.com/video/cd5WxysR09Q/w-d-xo.html

    That bandit will do 70 mph out of the box with the supplied pinion gear that is in the box, and a good battery, wing has to be removed....bandits and fun cars....

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, it will not nor dies Traxxas claim it can, The included pinion is only 28t. Nobody has done it because it can’t be done.👍

      @andyb9994 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BriansRCStuff you are correct it is not with the supplied pinion and I did know that, but it will do 70 with the 33 tooth that Traxxas does not sell...but I don't think it's a big deal that Traxxas doesn't sell it or even make one, the point is it will do what they claim on the box....

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@andyb9994 I have seen one person do it with a tail wind and after removing the rear wing and on an aftermarket brand LIPO.
      I wish I had all of the stock parts as I would try it now that I’m much better at speed runs and have my bandit at nearly 100 miles an hour on 3S.
      Maybe one day I will redo the video .😁
      But if you have seen somebody do it without a tail wind on a Traxxas 3s battery that fits in the stock battery compartment,I would love to see the video!

      Nice! What pinion are you running? I am up to 77.6 with a 35t and a strong 3s lipo. I will get it over 80 for sure with a smaller spur gear. But 98 is cooking! I hope you hit 100 soon. Did you add a wing to the front or just weight?
