I totally agree, I absolutely enjoy mine. What are you opinions on the move away from thrust washers to torrington bearing conversion, any benefit to it on a 700-1200hp truck? Also any need to do additional welding to the annulus gear I think it is? I dig the videos man.
Above 1000hp it is a good idea to do a rollerized front annulus ring gear. The helical cut design really starts smashing down on the thrust washer at those power levels. All of my builds above 1000hp get them. As far as for the rest of the gear train it’s a bit of an unnecessary expense in my opinion. Although yes, a full rollerized gear train will spin easier, it doesn’t equate to any actual performance gains. You’re better off imo to spend your money else where. As far as welding on the rear annulus ring gear, I also am not a fan of that. I do not like to weld on an already hardened gear set. Many do with no issues but I have never had a 47 or 48 rear ring gear fail in any application. Until I do, I will always elect not to weld on them.
Hi brother , a question i got a torque converter Diesel ram 6700 ir was repaired and now it's getting hot, why does that hapen? Please , can yo help me?
Is it feasable in the situation the country is in to rebiuld a trans 48 re to go in my truck i do heavy towing all the time with 5.9 cummins chipped less than 600 hp but towing 85% of the time at lower power levels . Iv biult engines and i know some what kind of maneul should i follow. I do know end clearances are most important for these trannn8es help desperate in volorado also triple diis. Tc or single and what about lockup swithed so its locked even in low gear pulling hills. Not locked during a shift other than a 3rd to od shift things break when hard shiftes accure any info please and thank you in advance.
U can rebuild it ur self get a rebuild book. Upgrade everything in there while ur there even the flex plate. Use a triple disc and billet input shaft use all gpz clutches add clutches. U can use a transgo pro shift kit.

You’ve put some miles & some laps on your stuff!
Great info as always!
Thanks!

I am surprised somebody doesn't make a spacer plate and a thicker converter to fit more clutches but I guess its not seen as being worth it yet.
The extreme duty triple just held 3000+ hp and 3100ftlbs on the super flow dyno last weekend.
@@LoganbuiltRaceShop Yup I seen that! :-) I was thinking under sled pulling abuse
