Hello man can you help me set up the delay and reverb??because i just bought this ge300...i dont know how to set up the delay..the sound delayed sooo much
I'd love to see a video on the hidden gem" features of this unit that most of us don't know about. I love mine and I'm always down to get some Mooer out of it. 😜
@@TaylorDanley just watched this. The dsp operation at 71 percent in an already simple patch was an important point you mentioned . Thanks for that. I've had a Fender mustang gtx that had the same limitation and know how limiting that can be. Have you had a chance to build a big patch and test the limitations of the dsp? Otherwise it's like Mooer providing endless unusable options
All these modelers are making great amp tones these days. Most of them sound like they are away in the background somewhere, but real amp sounds up in your face. I don't know if it's impulse response or what.
I’m not convinced it’s worth the increase in price over the pod go, although the tone capture feature is very interesting, Glenn DeLaune has made some top notch profiles for this and sells them in a pack, you could get this or a used helix lt for almost the same price,
Hmm, I think this has way more options and tone sculpting controls than the helix... not to mention significantly more amps. But like I always say, they're all good, you should just get the one that makes you happy lol
In terms of sound quality, yes. But there are things each do that kind of separate them. Like the L6 stuff is super easy to use and has a lot of flexibility in the signal chain, the axefx is more advanced in the UI department, but does WAY more stuff. I think the ge300 falls somewhere in the middle.
Brings up US Gold for lead tone. Discovers instant Black Metal sound 😂 Great review, would love to see more vids on this. Maybe shoot out the 5150’s with the other Mooer’s like in your previous video. Or better yet shoot out the Engl models 😍 don’t mind me a good Engl tone 🔥
More parameters isn't always better, it can drive you insane. I never use the built-in cab emulation on GE250 since it's already too many parameters. I always use my OwnHammer IR which makes everything simple and it sounds good.
@@TaylorDanley yeah, there is absolutely such a thing as too many options. I think it all depends on how you utilize the options and how much control you want.
Very helpful thanks foe the video. Do you know if either of these MOOER pedals have a vst or plugin software that you can use or open inside of your DAW in order to record a dry and wet signal and play along to and listen to it wet?
you should take the delay off while finding your reverb... the delay is distracting and detracting from the overall ambience of the reverbs themselves... tx
Thanks! Honestly, I never notice feel. I don't know if that's just me, but it seems incredibly subjective. In terms of quality, they're both in league, but the ge300 just does a lot of things the Ampero doesnt do.
@@TaylorDanley Thank you so much! That's very informative, I have GE200 and thinking about getting either Hotone Ampero or Mooer GE300/GE300Lite, your answer helps a lot!
Awesome review as always!!! Can you showcase some of its' synth engine? For example can you recreate maiden's somewhere in time sound, some Fat poly pads or some jordan ruddess style leads?
They're completely different. It would totally depend on how I was using it.. The 300 is more of a footboard, meant to be used on stage, where as the hx stomp can fit into a rack if you want to automate it, or if you want to have it on your desk in a studio, it won't take up much space.
@@TaylorDanley, thank your taking the time to respond as it's much appreciated. There's a GE300 used for a reasonable price that I was considering trading my 500X in and putting some extra cash to get it but that's a deal breaker. Thinking it would be more practical now to just purchase a Mooer Radar and adding that to the effects loop in the pod to get sounds with more definition and clarity. Thanks man.
i think if people would stop buying these hot turds then maybe companies would stop making all these bees in a box. I know some guy is just sitting in an office telling the engineers. "it doesnt matter if it sounds good. just put some lights on it and people will buy it"
I hope its the randall satan. But I heard it wasn't. I'll edit this comment when I find what it is. HOLY SHIT ITS A FUCKIN SATAN!! It says randall satan in the manual. PLZ MOOER MAKE THIS A PREAMP PEDAL!! Especially since ola told randall to stop making Satans I hope this means he's making his own satan under solar brand.
Is it better to turn the cab section on or of when I play it with the power amp Input of a Boss katana 50mkii. Maybe you can help me because I don't get it 🙈🤣
How would you say does this compare to the POD GO? I have to say the green buttons for directly selecting an effect looks really nice. Though the creen UI looks way worse imo. Whats your expereince here?
Hi Taylor,I was wondering which do you prefer this or the Helix stomp as I’m undecided on which one to get but if I got the GE300 it would be the lite version. Thanks
They're quite a bit different. But it's hard to say because I use the hx stomp quite a bit, and rarely ever use the ge300. That being said though, the ge300 does more and has greater dsp I believe.
@@TaylorDanley it seems like helix is adding amps all the time but Mooer doesn’t.The Mooer seems easier to create patches as the building blocks are already there for it but still on the fence on which one to get
Thanks for dropping by guys! What do you want to see with the ge300? Lmk 👇🙌

Doom
Man... Would be awesome to see any of these stomp modelers/multi-FX with an actual FRFR cabinet. Pros and cons of using a FRFR and how do them feel...

That "distinct mode" gives you a "post production" type of tone, by adjusting the EQ curve
I didnt notice any significant difference, I'll have to go back and try again. Thanks for the comment!
@@TaylorDanley thats what was written on the manual, as far as I remember, But great video Taylor, and have a nice day!

You really need to get into the GNR Files+ external IR. Thats where this unit comes to life. Truly on a kemper level, you'll see.
I know, that's what everyone tells me. I tried them on the ge200 and wasnt super blown away, but in fairness I didnt spend much time with them.
what are GNR files? And where do we get them?

Yeah, a bad IR can make that, a good IR can sound in your face too
Seems like good competition for helix or pod go..
Totally.

Would have been nice to hear the tones you created in a mix to see how they "sit" rather than how they sound as "bedroom tones"

Hey BM rythym and hair metal lead tones are pretty similar 😂def more shootouts coming soon!
Taylor Danley sick!!!, just realised I wasn’t subbed to your channel.
Now remedied 😊
One of my presets 37-a thru 37-d have no sound All others work fine, what did I do wrong. Is there a switch / button / knob ?
The ge300 seems like a considerable upgrade from the ge200 and the ge250. That level of control over tone and effects is insane.
100%

I have P90 pickups. How do these things deal with noise? Can I add a noise gate pedal between my guitar and the pedalboard?

Hi Taylor great review, if you have to deicide between ge300 and helix stomp or pod go what u choose? 🤔 🌚

love your vids man.
Is it possible to stream audio via bluetooth ?
Hi Taylor, is the GE300 capable of dual amp/ cabs like the 500X, Helix and Headrush?
No, theres only one amp block... although you might be able to use tone capture and amp block, but I haven't tried it.
@@TaylorDanley, thank your taking the time to respond as it's much appreciated.

🙌 no problem. I've heard VERY good things about using an IR loader with the HD line, good luck!
Out of curiosity, why did you choose the Hotone Ampero over this? It sounds pretty dang good.

Cab simulation off when using a physical cab.
Very helpful. does this unit offers delay-reverb tails or snapshots like some other units?
thank you.
Hello, yes for the tails. For the snapshots there is kind of called sub/patch or something like that.
hello, what do you think about ge300 lite?
I think it's the same minus an expression pedal, which... in all honesty, I wish all of them were missing the expression pedal
How would you say does this compare to the POD GO? I have to say the green buttons for directly selecting an effect looks really nice. Though the creen UI looks way worse imo. Whats your expereince here?
The GE300 has WAY more features than the POD GO. UI is a toss up, both are good. I'd say the POD GO edges it in terms of ease of use, but not by much.
What guitar is this???
It's a Solar V 1.6 FRC. I have one myself. Amazing quality for the price. Greetings from Holland.
Vs pod go?
Man, you could cut the highs on your voice microphone, everytime you pronounce a 's' it pierces my ear with earphones
😂
Loading 3rd party ir would be good.
I can't seem to find a video that discusses this
You do it through the software in the cabinet section. It's pretty straight forward once you have the app up.
Hi, u should try the fractal Fm3
I would love to! Love my axefx3!!
Soundwise which do you prefer hx stomp or ge 300?

Fair review but getting motion sickness from all the abrupt edits.

Am I the only one who hears crackling in all guitar sounds (none on voice)?
and can we just call these amp sounds and cabinet sounds out for what they REALLY are... simply EQ TWEAKS.. pre determined.. eq tweaks... ty

Come on man... I don't mean to be disrespectful of your work but this "ultimate tone machine" sounds like Guitar Rig. And I mean Guitar Rig 2.
Wow. No matter what you did, high gain sounds were just awful
Agreed. Very fake sounding.
