I love the natural black on you 😊. i have very similar hair to you in terms of texture and colour, being naturally black . I absolutely agree with your decision to not have curly cuts anymore, I find hair with those cuts appear uneven and some what messy when curls are in a stretched state, either from just being wet or temporarily straightened . Stay as beautiful as you are inside and out and continue to inspire and educate us with your clean and over calming and peaceful content 🤗
Thank you! Best way to find out is to give a try. I use to have my hair all one length when I was 16 the last time. And ever since I began getting layered cuts my hair no longer grows long and even. So I figured I’ll give this a shot because I remember have waist length hair so long and all one length.
The black hair looks gorgeous on you! I personally like it more than the blonde. I have ceremonia products, they are amazing. I have curly fine hair, actually letting my natural hair grow out. I’m 50 so I’m beginning to grey. Im embracing it though. Great video
I totally get what you mean about your daughter. They say our daughters take away some of our beauty. But I think it’s just postpartum side effects and also we tend to focus on our kids so they blossom and we have a little harder time keeping up the way we used to. It all eventually balances out though.
I started using shea butter for my curls and i do notice my hair is so much softer and moisturized hopefully it goes well for me. Really want extremely healthy and long hair with defined curls.
I love black hair. Everytime i color it I regret it after a few months. My hair looks the healthiest black and I straighten my hair all the time and use heat with every washe day. Your soo beautiful. Love the tips you gave. ❤️
Love it in either color. Do what's best for you 😊. I'm currently dying my hair been doing it for years, my beautician has taken very good care of my hair. In between I make sure to do regular deep conditioning of my hair and it's doing well. Thank you for your videos, also like the clean and healthy products .
I coloured my hair for the first time after being inspired by you when you did yours. With this new year, I feel as though I want to go back to my black hair. I really don't want to go to the salon this year. Not only is it expensive for cuts and colouring, it's time i don't want to waste this year. My curly hair took over 4hrs to colour and that's with me leaving the salon with wet hair and no cut. Thank you for sharing that it's OK for us to try things and then change our minds about it at any point. 😘
Hola Alba! I've been following for years! Trust your clean-living recs (thank you so much for sharing them) and was exposed to Ceremonia by you which prompted my purchase of their products (first order Spring 2022). When asked how I heard about their products, I made sure to mention I learned about them from you! Happy to see them engaging with you again! Wishing you much continued success!
I looove ceremonial!!! I don't know why I get so excited when I see that we are using the same products, I guess it's because you were very influential and informative for my non toxic lifestyle journey.😌💜 Also please forgive me for not replying as I saw just recently that I was a winner from a giveaway you had not too long ago. I never think I am going to win so I didn't follow up, also with life and all it's busyness, I hadn't checked my GMail for the notifications. Anyway though I wanted to kick myself for missing out, I see it as God's way of making sure that it went to someone who needed it more than me. Anyway glad to see new content in the new year, and looking forward to all your content to come. God Bless!💟
Universe is talking! this vid popped up on my feed. This is just confirmation for me because it's been on my mind for a while, but just now, I was in a mirror thinking to go back to my natural black tone of hair ☺️
I was pleasantly surprised at how moisturizing yet light the leave in was. Most curl products that say that they don't weigh down the hair, do, and this didn't!
Love your hair both blonde and black❤ btw even if you applied the dye all over you will eventually still be able to see where your blonde starts because it’s going to fade. That’s what my stylist told me when I decided to go dark and she was right. Mine faded to a reddish tone
I watched you for years Alba and you are truly one of my favorite hair TH-camrs. I agree that one length would be best for you if you are desiring to no longer have curly layers. I personally feel that curly, wavy and textured hair is easier to style when it's not so layered throughout. I do love the dark hair on you again! And yes, your daughter has lovely curly hair.
Hi Alba. Your hair looks amazing both ways. What do you suggest for those of us who have grays. This is one of the reasons I do highlights because the gray hairs are not as noticeable. Any suggestions? I too want to start getting one length cuts; since getting curly cuts, I noticed that my hair doesn’t grow evenly or as fast as it use to. Thanks so much for all you great videos. Please keep the wash and style videos coming. Sending best wishes to you and your family.😘
I'm glad you decided to go back to your natural color, the blond in my opinion made your hair look dried and damaged, and the curls weren't as defined anymore and kinda frizzy
I typically don’t add gel again until days later. On day 2 I usually only mist and add a bit of leave in not gel. On day 3 or 4 maybe I’ll add gel again though
Love it! You look amazing Alba. I’ve been following from back in the days when you first started TH-cam channel. I want to go clean in everything but still a working progress. I also have to agree with you my daughter is 17 and have the same length of hair as your daughter and I only took her once for her curly cut when she was 10 and now she has the most beautiful long hair which requires lots of products. So here’s my question to you What would you recommend since I’m trying to buy clean products that are more long lasting like size wise since we both use them on a weekly basis and tend to run out quick. Hope you can answer! 🙏🏼🥰
Love it...I was thinking too not to cut my hair in layers anymore and just grow it out...I had all different hair cuts... so just let it grow one length.
I love watching your videos... Have you thought of not using oils and cremes? Also, have you ever used innersense, AG Balance, or trepadora..these are the new products I have been introduced to
Thanks! Innersense is one of my favorite brands and go to! I been using Innersense since 2016 and have so many videos on them. - the no oils sounds like the curly method which im not fully about.
You did well .. I also used to have highlight omg it messed up my hair . Now am all natural dark and truly this is where is at praise GOD 🙏 the only thing I use now is hot oils treatment before washing and my hair is flourishing thanks be to GOD Hallelujah 🙏🩸🥰🥰🤍
Hi Alba! both colors look great on you! i would also like to stop doing curly cuts and let my hair grow to one even length but not sure how to maintain healthy ends without cutting my hair because i also have that slow growth in the middle back of my hair. How do you plan on doing it for your hair? Thanks!
In my case I’ve always had that short hair in the back but when I was a teen/early 20’s it didn’t bother me because my hair was so long that IG covered that area completely. But since I had curly curls with layers my curls shrink and that area becomes exposed and looks uneven. So I believe focusing on not cutting layers anymore, only trimming ends evenly when necessary and protecting my ends from breakage is key.
Do you no longer use your own home made products anymore? I just found your channel tonight and have already watched 5 videos, so great. You are so gorgeous au naturel. Lucky lady💖🌷🙏
Hey Alba!! I’ve never seen you use these products? Did you use them when your hair was colored blond or is this something you started using after going back to black? I like the black on you better but the blond was pretty too.
I’ve been using these products about 2 years (they launched in 2020 as a new brand) I have an old video from 2022 using them on my colored hair as well. It’s my 2022 curly routine with my blond hair and in that video I show my deep conditioning routine with steamer.
Love your ➰➰ My daughter has long curls as well so gorgeous! We are non toxic as well for years...is this product fragrance free and if not what is the source of fragrance? Thank you 🙏🏼💚🌹
The ceremonia products have a signature fragrance that I referenced a few times in the video on how good it smells. It’s not for everyone but they do have info on their website on their fragrance being safe and clean. Now the scent isn’t for everyone because it’s a noticeable fragrance that lingers. I personally love it but if you’re someone who doesn’t like strong scents it may not be for you.
You didn't lose the beauty of your hair to hers, you lost the investment of energy into yours 😂 I take time with my daughter's hair, style it, and make sure to avoid breakage...then I just quickly shampoo and condition mine, usually use no deep conditioner (which I do have), no leave in or scalp oil half the time (which I also have), and plop a bonnet over it. So by being intentional and making sure we don't forget to take time with our own hair, I'm sure you'll reach the goal you want. After all, she got those hair genes from you ❤️
Yes a part of that is true! Especially in the beginning when I first had her. All my time went to her and not a lot went into my self care. I kept it super minimal due to no energy or motivation to do for myself. But… about 2 years later I found out I have hyperthyroidism and it changed my hair drastically. So I began investing more time to myself from the inside out and began deep conditioning once a week without fail for a year now as well as oil scalp massaging and protein treatments. Aside from supplements and health care I did that consistently and my hair has still not recovered fully despite my effort. It could be worse so I’m grateful but my expectations have also changed because of my thyroid issue.
I used your pics for inspiration for my blonde highlights bc I was in love with your look! I totally understand though. The look is gorgeous but my blonde is so high maintenance (tangles so easilyyyyy and dries out much more easily 😅 ah pues cest la vie lol)
The part of the video that got cut mistakenly regarding my hair color contained important info about my health that impacted my desocupen to go back to a minimal low maintenance routine. I will have to clarify more in a separate video since that portion got cut but what I said was that I found out I have hyperthyroidism and it affected my hair. So my expectations have changed as well as my effort towards my hair. My thyroid issue caused me extra breakage on my ends before I even colored my hair and when I colored it, it was based on my experience of seeing my hair improve but it never improved fully. My breakage is less but I’m not 100% recovered from the insane amount of breakage I did get before. My hair is still recovering from that which is another reason I’m no longer getting curly cuts. This way my layers can grow out and my ends can get longer and fuller again since having a curly cut will create layers and shorten my ends. It’s best for me to avoid layers to allow my ends to catch up in length.
Just 1 box since I only died the ends that had the blonde not my whole head. Yes my hair is layered currently but I’m attempting to grow it out to all once length now.
As you dyed your hair black, does that not mean more hair dye? It's not its natural hair colour. For it to be its natural hair colour, the hair would have to be grown out again.
Yes obviously. I dyed it back to my natural color (as close possible) and as I explained I only dyed the ends so that as my hair grows out I’ll eventually be free of dyed hair and won’t be dying it anymore which is why I didn’t dye all of it only the ends that had the lighter/blonde color. I went a year without dyeing it because I was trying to wait for my dyed hair to grow out but I was not able to enjoy and style my hair down curly because of the huge color gap so that’s why I went back to brunette by only dying the necessary ends.
@curlsandswirls05 Hola Alba, los dos colores te quedan bello. Pero.. es un lio tener k estar dandose retoque. Quiero tratar Ceremonia cuando acabe con los k tengo.

I used to dye my hair, but the more time goes on the more I agree with you. I haven't dyed my hair in like 5 years and i prefer it a lot more now
It’s still fun and ok to experiment. Live a little. 💫
@@bowingtotheancestors she never said she didn’t experiment or that it wasn’t ok..she only said she tried color and it wasn’t for her
i have tried all kinds of color in my hair and honestly I look the most healthy with my natural black hair, I think you do too ❤
Love your natural color.. the blonde was glowy and Cali and so cute too. Your dark hair really makes your features stand out more though, so striking.
