C'mon, in TV show / movie you always have the time to scream. Scream is the most important part of any explosion / assassination / shooting / car crash. Without scream all these scenes are worthless.
but earlier when walt was testing the bomb’s mechanism it also took him several presses for it to go off ? i don’t think he planned for it to go off immediately
@@phase2681that makes sense. For Hector that bell was primary and only mean of communication with the world. What if he accidentally pinged it out of habit and blew up a nurse?
you remember when walter was testing making it and it took multiple hits of the button to go off. It looked like when he was going to blow up the car that he had the same system. So that would probably mean that the only difference here is that the bell is the new button so he probably told him to spam the bell as it probably wont work on the first hit.
I always thought it was a safety measure so that, in case nurses came in and asked something for example, he could still reply and wouldn't blow up alone without Gus inside
@@DarkMarxSoul Walt wasn't anywhere near the room, he was hiding in a car somewhere and remember he didn't know the bomb went off until he heard about it on the car's radio station.
I think the original scene works so much because of the delay, like, it gives Gus enough time to basically realise that he is screwed, that he's no longer in control of the situation, and upon seeing that, all he can do is let out a panicked scream and get up off his seat.
It was being implied that even if Gus was able to kill Hector, there was still the rogue investigation by Hank. And sooner or later that would have uncovered the drug lab. We saw little hints throughout S4 that Gus was starting to get sloppy and make mistakes and take a lot of risks in the open, something he previously didn't do.
Okay, so I've seen hundreds of these edits by now. And I will see hundreds more, potentially thousands over the next eight decades. I genuinely believe that this will be my favorite. I cannot envision a world where I find something better than this one.
Apparently nobody in this comment section payed attention to the show. So lemme clarify a couple, seemingly common misconceptions. 1. Walt didn't expect the bomb to go off immediately, as he did test it before. 2. Walt didn't intentionally make the bomb need several inputs to detonate for, "safety". He simply didn't make it right, as evident by his obvious frustration while testing it.
yea people look too far into things in this show sometimes, which is ironic in this case considering there's a fucking scene showing that walt DID WANT the det to go off right away but HE KNEW it wouldn't, so he obviously told hector he's going to have to spam the bell for it to work
Which is very weak IMO. Walt is more than capable of coming up with a reliable system to use, why would he have risk a failed assassination attempt on a faulty trigger when he could have made it work properly?
@@kingcrimson4133Doesn't take an electrician to use a proper electrical contact. He's not an idiot. He clearly knows the basics or he couldn't have rigged up what he did. It's just a weak scene to give a reason for the delay when the bomb does go off

@@poppinlochnesshopster3249 i dont think it makes him sound dumb, especially with his life under threat and everything going on at that point in the show. like other people have mentioned, he's not an electrician and just going off the first one failing, it makes sense he'd be shitting bricks and scrambling for a solution when i first watched it, i took no issue with it. it felt fitting that he'd be struggling and (from what i remember) we dont know how long it took him to land on hector since he also had to figure out where else gus would go. storytelling-wise, it's amazing to give hector the last laugh with the death knell of a crappy little bell and i can suspend my disbelief even if i'm giving the story outline too much weight, i wouldn't have it any other way
