    With many people these days being overweight and not getting enough of workout more exercise you get - better it is. Unless competing or going on a long trip get larger heavier tires for comfortable ride and burn some calories

    Agree when you say , more important is the tyre, rather wheel size.

    thank you. you just peaced my mind because I bought 27.5 bike and was worried it would not be as good as 29!

    I'm looking at getting a Polygon Bend R2 with 650b wheels for touring because it's such a cheap bike.
    I think this video has answered my questions.
    Might swop the tyres for something less knobbly.

    The best way to understand it I think is
    The low profile and high profile tire

    Interesting how bigger wheels go faster then little wheels

    Sluggish tires give u a better work out than faster tires. Because u are like working harder to go faster

    Presumably, with 650B wheels and WTB's Road Plus tyres you are getting exactly the same size wheel as a 700 with a skinny road tyre. Or am I missing something?

    Run then on a course over multiple tracks or terrain

    Hello, I would like to get on my bike: Triban GRVL 520 Sram Apex 1x11 buy rims DT Swiss G 1800 Spline. And according to the manufacturer, I can use 650x47 or 700x42 Please advise, What option would you choose from my options?

      Depends on what terrain you ride on. The 650b will give you a bit more volume, lower pressures and better rolling resistance over rougher terrain. But the 42mm vs 47mm won't amount to that much. 650b won't be as nimble as the 700c, but will be more stable at speed and on descents. It's a tradeoff that you would have to experiment with. Borrow some wheels to try if you can and see for yourself. Also, the 650b will have less toe overlap too. But the 650b will lower the bike a bike so you may get more pedal strikes. Good luck!

    700c actually faster but if on 650b should use bigger bigger to similar to 700c so the whole story will be surprise.

    7:52 What are you measuring? The units shown are millimeters. This test has only been for distance when the title and description references a speed test.

    • @borisb.5024

      the units are meters, not mm as shown in charts

    • @iffy_too6465
      @iffy_too6465 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@borisb.5024 Yes, of course it is. But the premise of the video is speed, not displacement. Not only did they use the wrong units but they did the wrong tests, that was my point in all of this

    • @borisb.5024
      @borisb.5024 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@iffy_too6465 the tests weren't wrong I think - maybe the title is technically wrong. At 5:38 assumption is made that go faster=roll better. Seems legit to me

    • @iffy_too6465

      @@borisb.5024 So a student giving a presentation for their final year thesis titled "An examination of speed differences between two standards" goes through his entire thing only talking about his data solely collected for displacement. Should he get a pass or fail from his professors? Can he say "Well I did a test that showed a thing and made an assumption" without getting his professors hand him a big fat F?
      This is the same thing, only I'm not a professor, but my time has still been wasted as I was interested in the original question of speed advantage, not displacement.

    What a useless non scientific test!
