In this video "FLYING SOME PIGEONS" I have the racing pigeons loft flying while I am showing some of the young pigeons. Then I take out the white pigeons.
I’m sure the older whites flying fast and homing fast is probably the experience with the hawks and Falcons. Many times older birds seem to be more nervous than younger birds when Hawk season approaches
Yes, I hadn’t thought of that but it might be a hawk deterrent seeing them fly so strong that they wouldn’t be able to catch them anyway. Thanks for your thoughts

The birds are doing their best and I appreciate them more every day. Wether they are the best or not some how isn’t that important to me anymore. I will of course continue to only breed the best. Having a lot of fun with them every day is such a rewarding hobby. Hope to see you soon buddy 👍
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons amen brother. I use to breed beagles and had a couple grand champions and several champions. I enjoyed the trials, but somehow the most fun I had with them was just out hunting rabbits with my kids. I miss those days. Hoping to get a loft going so my 16 month old granddaughter and two week old grandson can enjoy them with Pop. Bless you brother for enjoying just the plain fun of playing with the birds.

Basically they both get to where they are going but racers are stronger and faster and someone that races would only breed the quickest ones for obvious reasons. Both are great birds.
