Hi Mike, sorry to see they are attacked but is part of nature coming from race that might happen. But they got their exercise unfortunately we will lose some but I am sure they will great 👍😘😘😘
I flew them today and stood on the roof but they were still very afraid to come down but no hawks when I stood there so hopefully this can be bringing them down faster each time. I just got five new baldhead rollers I will show them soon video thanks for watching my friend
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons I hope they all do well. I keep them in for few days to give them some rest and fresh start you don’t want them to beat up before the race starts. 😘😘😘
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons hi Mike, opening the restaurant and moving to Orange. I was so far away from clubs that couldn’t make it. I love racing pigeons and on my first year with eleven birds got the champion bird and lots of first and top places😄👍 hopefully someday I might start again and I am glad to know you and when the time comes I know where to get help😀 thanks
Hi there just asking just got a pair of birmingham roller pigeon nestmate is that a good pair and how does their offspring perform by the way im from phillipnes
Hi Mike, I would leave them in a couple of days to recover, put some electrolytes in the water if you can get them. The next time you let them out it would be out of the truck. Hope the attacks die out. You need a good rifle. GOOD LUCK WITH THEM 🌟💯👍
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons I know you have a feeling of dread everytime you let them out. My friend had no more problems with (BOP) after he put the Eagle Owls decoys up. He did have trouble with his old birds for about a week. His youngsters had never been outside when he put them up, so they got used to them straight away. 🌟💯👍
You got to get rid of them hawks . I really felt for the poor bird's. Hope the little hen has no wounds on her. I know of a guy who was plagued by birds of prey ( BOP) and he bought a big plastic decoy of an owl and put it on top of pole away from the loft and has no BOP attacks since . could be worth a shot Mike. Or you can trap the hawks.
Yes and the owls work, a friend of mine put 2 plastic Eagle Owl decoys up 1on a fence post at the side of the loft. 1 on a post nailed to the side of the loft. 🌟💯👍🏴🇬🇧
Birds are in good condition fling that long in the heat. Think of it this way, lost 1 bird but you are picking up more at the post office. You are still ahead. lol
They outfly those predators they are designed to do that when you lose one or two usually that bird was out of shape or sick or caught by surprise but considering the volume of predators we are doing good
Have you noticed the hawks attacking the lighter colored pigeons more so than that darker colored pigeons? Or have you noticed the hawks attacking the weaker pigeons?
Hawks are not good for Pigeons. The idea of a training toss is to liberate, come straight home and trap straight in. Hawks chasing them around is learning them to fly round when they come home, not good.
If you have any oak trees! Don’t cut them down because they attract squirrels 🐿 and hawks hate squirrels “fact” get a gun and blast the hawks out of there !!!!! Good luck 🤞 and can I ask what temperature you have there to overheat your phone 📞 plz
Love seeing your birds Fly buddy just not flying for their lives!! or in Fear of being attacked!!
Understood my friend it was a rough day!
I glad you got all your birds back. I hate to see them get stressed over them darn Hawks.
Me too brother, it’s a tough situation for sure.
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons yup it sure is. I am not sure how to help you bother
It is what it is I’m just going to keep going! Thanks for all your help you have done a lot already.
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons you are welcome. But I don’t feel I did anything. Other than being a friend and listen.
Every hawk attack they survive they are that bit more educated glad they are home safe
So true Adrian and thanks
glad your birds finally landed..........at least u only lost one,,,,,feel sorry for u an your birds,,take care.......
Thanks Earnest I appreciate that
Hawks are crazy out of control. It’s about time to take them off the endangered list.
Agreed brother 👍
You are so right!!...Too many damn hawks...In the older days we never had hawk problems..
Thanks for sharing and when you can would be nice to see the new birds you picked up
Okay I will show them, they are 5 young bald head rollers, very nice 👍

I do too believe me. Thanks for being honest my friend.
Another great vid!!😁
Roughly how much in grams should each racing pigeon be fed?
Thanks😁
I don’t know about grams but a little over 1 ounce by volume is what I use.

Why did you get out of pigeon racing? Seems like you’re very knowledgeable and interested still. I know rollers are great fun also!

I guess hawk attacks are part of owning pigeons. At least that pigeon made it back home. Be careful on the roof my friend.👍
Thanks for watching and I will be safe my friend
Because you live near the hawks there will be many hawks near your area, RIP the youngbird who got taken. Stay safe
Thanks my friend I will just have to deal with it ✌️

I personally don’t like to pair nest mates but I have done it once and they performed just fine

They'll come down they will get so thirsty that they'll come down.
They sure did, but I was a little worried that they would go somewhere else
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons it happens but when they get hungry or thirsty they will come back down. Birds are doing great. Great video friend
Thanks Frank
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons birds are doing great 👍👌 on point
I’ve got the same problem but worse, 2 days ago a Harris Hawk, a red tailed Hawk and a falcon went after my birds within 20 min.
It sure does take the phone away from the pigeon hobby. Good luck with all those super predators

no I haven't they seem to go for whoever they can grab.
Cut back on the feed so when they get home they'll trap
Thanks Tony
Sometimes hawks are good for training, birds flew well and longer. I hope hawks did not get some of your birds.
