    THANK YOU. I couldn't figure out where my "capture frame" was going. ... I had not noticed/realized I was still in Previous Import. This is a VERY important tip.

      It's not possible for me to help you without knowing your workflow. But the key thing here, as mentioned, is that you have to be in the folder where the file lives on your hard drive, and not in 'previous import,' which lightroom defaults to when you import a file.
      Check this in the library module first by highlighting the correct folder in the left-hand side list. If you are in the original folder but there is still a problem, let me know what the issue seems to be and I'll see if I can help any further.
