I know this says 18k... but this will work with 14k gold also? I googled it and the sources I checked all said it can't be done. Like, once gold is mixed with other elements, it can't ever be 24k gold again. Was wondering if natural gold was always 24k gold or if it was in an ore (like most metals) and has to be refined first to become 24k gold.

Well u will definitly lose that 20% weight so if u had 1kg of 80% gold 20% other metals then u have 1kg 20k gold if u remove 20% metals u have left 800grams 24k gold
