I love this.. its perfection from early Depeche Mode (Thanks Martin Gore) amazing sound and vocals .. they are still the greatest pop synth group ever, yes its a true classic
"A Broken Frame" is such a CLASSIC album in which there's no side-track! It's more like "the best of Depeche Mode" collection than a normal studio album.

a pesar q no fue un tema contundente al comienzo luego de la marcha de clark,ese esonido suave de gore hizo q el tema fuese popular un tiempo, hoy olvidado pero no los fans, tanto asi q el grupo menciono q era su album mas malo, fue epoca de transicion hasta la llegada de alan wilder,aun asi siempre me ha gustado el tema, y de hecho tiene algns 4 x lo menos canciones muy logradas

There are plenty of devotees in the UK, their shows for 2024 have pretty much sold out. Britain was enamoured with the pop bubblegum BS at the time which is why they did well during the Vince Clarke years but the US and Europe were more appreciative of their maturing sound and songwriting thus enticing them outside of the UK leading their relevance to dwindle. The UK is very fickle when it comes to music.
A lot of the early songs went bye-bye as their technology grew and the songs got darker. This wouldn't have fit in well with Stripped, Fly On The Windscreen, Enjoy The Silence, Suffer Well, etc.
They prefer their darker later era. They hardly ever play their early stuff very few are. My Secret Garden was also good so was their other hit. I just can't get enough was

They played it live often between early 1982 until mid 1985. That's over 3 years! I don't blame them for taking it off the setlists.
