We were also OUTSIDE most the time too...no electronics to distract us from exploring the natural world around us! Loved those summer days down in Eugene, OR during the 80's as a kid.
I saw them live in 1984 at Hammersmith Odeon and met them backstage. Then my best friend said “ We have to go or we’ll miss the last train.” They were so cool and let us jump the autograph queue. Andy and Paul you are legends ❤️❤️

I just want to take a minute to appreciate the depth of this song. Lines like "it's gonna end in more than tears one day" or "this kiss you give is never ever gonna fade away" always sound ominous and give me chills. It's remarkable that pop songs talk about these themes music is a wonderful way of tackling difficult subjects and make people aware of them in a respectful and thoughtful way.

I saw OMD and Thompson Twins in concert in Irvine California back in the 80's. Paul Mac Namara is 100% correct when he said "There is nothing to compare to the 80's music."
I am lucky enough to have heard all these tunes when they first hit the scene way back when,lol, still sounds exactly the same, there are at least two generations who have never heard this fabulous band.
Only differences being if you went to a concert when this first came out you wouldn't have been able to film it yourself unless you took a whacking great big video recorder with you
