Thank you so much, I used it once and for the first time, to trim some branches, when i went to use it again the chain was hanging and i could not for the life of me figure out how to tighten. Clicked on your video and 5 minutes later I was good to go. thanks for helping out an older woman.

Saw arrived yesterday th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and today I cut about 3/4 cord of wood with it. Make sure you get an extension chord that is at least 12 gauge wire, minimum. This is my first electric in about 10 years, and things sure have improved. The self-sharpener works great, and it just kept cutting through some pretty decent logs. Wear your eye protection, and ear protection. Excellent saw.

My friend drop his off at my house throttle stumbles, could the chain be to tight. You can play with the trigger and the saw works just fine, idles great, any suggestions

Could be. You may try taking the chain and bar off to see if anything is broke or bent inside. I have never taken this bar off, but YT videos make it look pretty easy. Hope you figure it out.

@@weekendhomeprojects thanks for that, that was fast!! Adjusted the chain and the bar seemed to relax. But it runs and cuts. Now head did say it sat for a year. So I ran it out of gas, and it's running through it's second tank as we speak. But thanks again

Should be putting weight on the end of bar tip to push up on bar and chain then test snap back and tighten nuts.

This is why I love TH-cam, it's like the matrix. "I can tighten a chain saw"

Ok I see your. Vid at this time is a month old, I have the exact same. Model, when you loosen the two bolts for your guard pool and stretch the bar manually with your hand and then use the flat blade to adjust the tension that won't strip out your what I want to call it screw your tensioner guide bar as much you'll see you can crank it the whole way in when you take the device off well pulling your chain bar and take the tension away then use the flat blade screw to apply the tension by way another thing get rid of your dumb kickback bar on the piece on the front end of the chain bar that useless won't serve you any purpose only it'll get in your way.

Had mine for 2 and a half years now now prob, and it says 50/1 on mix this is true but if it ever runs funny on you don't grab a screwdriver and start f****** with the carburetor if it's running slow adjust the 50 to 1 mix add a little more gas just said cut a little tiny bit more gas in there and it'll run out and run hot and that'll fix it if it's running too hot then back it away and just go straight 50 to 1 but I've owned this chainsaw for two and a half years and never touched a carburetor screw I just mess with the gas lean it out or add more oil whatever you got to do but don't touch that carb screw!

Again I reiterate take your flat blade and take your tensioner all the way left not positive to add tension loosen the two bolts on the casing then with your hand manually pull out on the chain tension to make it hard then use the flat blade to apply pressure that won't strip that screw out for you your tensioner buddy don't Max it out cuz if you do you're going to have trouble cuz then you're going to pop that spring in there plus you're going to stretch your chain over too far you can maximize your chain as it wears and stretches with this tit just trying to help not trying to say that you don't know what you're doing I'm just telling you with two and a half years experience with this chainsaw that's the best way to go and like I said don't touch that car don't put no screwdriver to that car use your 50 to 1 mix if it's a little boggy add a little more gas not much like as you use in chainsaw add like maybe a tablespoon or two of gas on a 51 mix that's actually in the chainsaw running a little rich see if that works if it runs too hot and it's too heavy and won't idle down then go back and make sure you're at more mix but don't touch that carb screw

Fantastic use of punctuation and run on sentences why bother commenting when someone has to read 10x to figure out when a thought ends and the next statement begins i wonder if i should start doiing the same thing it is much easier than trying to be coherent

didnt know i needed a mechanical engineering degree for a home chain saw. giving up. not as easy as it looks. not matter what i do it doesnt tighten. :(.
if someone would engineer an easy one to adjust they would be a billionaire.

You have to loosen the bar bolt before you try the tightening screw. I’ve caught myself not doing that a few times and scratching my head on why it’s not doing anything.
