Great video. After the rock roll through BM, the ride through the connector trail was amazing. Video does not do justice as to how chunky that trail is. Well done.
Darren Lumber this trail is mad fun, part of it is actually part of a moto trail which is why its so open. Luckily its not moto season so we get it to ourselves right now
Phil Kmetz Mountain Bike Videos it looks perfect the way you ride it bud! I guess it would be rude not to make the most of it whilst the moto's are away. :)
have u ever ridden the trails at Uwharrie National Forest, they have some gnarly rocks, berms, and bumps, u just have to watch out for dirt bikes, atvs, sxs, and 4x4s
There's a few flat/climb sections in between the fun stuff, but otherwise it's pretty rad piece of trail. If you're strava inclined here's the whole loop we did. www.strava.com/activities/268772375
@@SkillsWithPhil Phil you are the man for sharing this Strava route. I had a route planned for next week but I will compare my plan with this one to make sure I am doing it right!!!
Man you can think fast, nice videos, thoroughly impressed. Wish I could tell when and how much break you are applying, I have been trying to figure out, just how much the bike can just roll through crap, if you lose the fear of applying break
Anders Mikkelsen Currently I use the Hero 3+ black. The video quality is virtually identical to the quality of the Hero 4 Silver, though I believe the Audio quality on the 4 Silver is better. Cheers!
Hi Phil. Do you always do a slower run on new track before hitting it hard or just kind of wing it. I've been watching a lot of videos lately and always wonder how well the rider knows what's ahead before letting loose.
Depends on the trail. This trail I didn't know at all, but I knew it was used for off road vehicles so that have me a pretty good idea as to what I could expect. Otherwise it takes me about 4 runs to take start opening up. My first run is slow by my own definition but that may be considered fast to somebody else.
Great video! I also make lots of edits and vids all around the east coast.. Just wondering how do you get your chesty gopro not to shake much? Whenever I ride mine the footage is always blurry even on smooth trails.
Late to the chat but my mom lives near Pineola and I've been looking for good rides, ideally loops. Do you have a Strava or other GPS tracker for this? Thanks.

Awesome video. I couldn't even keep up with the turns, you have some balls.
thanks man, I appreciate it! It comes with experience, things appear slower when you ride more and learn new skills.
looks like a fun trail, Phil fully pinned as usual.
Thanks amateur cooperative! and yes, it's a super fun trail to just open it up and let it hang.
that's a wicked run
