Noticed a conflict between the video and the written recipe. When I got to step 3, written recipe calls for 1/2 cup pickling spice. Thought this was excessive, and went back and watched the video again. Sure enough, should be 2 tsp. Big difference! Think these will turn out great. Sure smells good! Brings back childhood memories for sure. Thanks so much for doing this video.

I really appreciate the recipe and information. I never understand why so many people ladle large amounts of liquid one scoop at a time. I'm using a measuring cup and pouring. Life is short!

I would love to see a video of your 14 day deli style crock pickles. Love this 2 video series. I found the same sweet gherkin recipe in one of my ball books and was happy to see you do this one so I know what to expect. It also didn't hurt to hear how delicious you thought they were as they're a lot of work!

Where did the spice bag go after the first use? I must have been washing cukes when you explained it, sorry. Good job on your video.

the first 3 cups of vinegar and sugar was not enough to cover all the pickles...is this a problem?

I am getting ready to try this recipe and would like to know the answer to this question also. Did not appear in the video that they were covered.

Could not see the brine after pouring over the pickles, but after about three hours with the weight, the brine nearly covered the pickles.

Is it normal they get really limp? Try a few times and it doesn’t look appetizing… no mold no weird smell but after the first sweet brine… after poking them and soaking the first time in sweet brine they get really soft and limp…
