We can really see from this just how highly esteemed he is by the entire company. So lovely to see Vadim sweeping him off his feet! Congratulations on a wonderful first career Alexander, and I wish you equal happiness and success in your next role! We'll all miss seeing you dance on stage.
What a wonderful human being. Thank you for all you have given us as a person and as a dancer. God's blessing on you as you pass on the gift you have been given to other young dancers.
Boy am I gonna miss you! Always was a great fan from the first time I saw you. 😢 loved you In the Limit and gave you a chance to show off your hidden talents especially singing. Best of luck in your new career.❤❤
Thank you so much for recording this! I’m not crying….much. I’m so glad I saw him dance Lescaut at the ROH at the end February! We enjoyed it so much we went to the live cinema relay 4 days later!
Thank you for sharing this ❤ What a lovely farewell to an outstanding dancer and partner. Absolutely criminal that his Des Grieux with Frankie’s Manon wasn’t filmed.
I had no idea he was going! - and I would say it's too soon... but how lovely to see someone going out on such a high. You will be so missed, but forever admired.
@@SuperBalletgirl101 Thanks for taking the time to respond. Seems odd to me, so quickly to do this. I LOVE this man's dancing; his polish and finesse and strength amaze me. Actually, I didn't even know he had begun playing the lead roles, such as above and also, is it Sigfried or Cedric, in Swan Lake. And, I had no idea about his hearing! Bless him. I hope all goes well. thanks again.
@@josephcollins6033 He was my absolute favourite and absolutely underused. He actually never danced the lead in Swan Lake even! If you can, watch him in Dances at a Gathering. It is a flawless performance.
@@SuperBalletgirl101 Oh! You know so much more than I do. I live in US. But, all the ballet DVDs I have are from The Bolshoi and Royal Ballet, one from Italy, I believe. So, he was underused. Amazing. Show business is an odd thing. I've seen a lot of dancers, and for me to pick him out means a good little bit. I was a professional dancer but not in ballet! I thought I had seen him in Swan Lake on TH-cam. Is that from Dances at a Gathering- an excerpt? I have him in small ensembles in Manon and Giselle with Muntagirov (whom I also love). He has a large secondary role in Swan Lake with Muntagitrov and then Bluebird in Sleeping Beauty. Do you know of other DVDs out there? You are so very kind!
@@conannethegrammarianI think their comment was an opinion laced with sarcasm. People forget the powers that be made Alexander principal on merit and talent and Francesca's quoted comment is valid.

Thank you so much for capturing this. I cried watching 😭 I am going to miss seeing him as a dancer and presenter so much.
The ballet world has truly lost a star
I am sad that I never got to see Alexander dance in person! Congratulations on a wonderful career and a wonderful future!!!
What a lovely and well deserved tribute

I love how his wife Claire gave him one of the bigger bouquets of flowers.
Wonderful 😢❤❤

@@emilyrhodes2350 Thank you. Like the design on stage - image as there is some soil or if there are rocks when at distance.

Then you never saw him as Mercutio, or in Elite Syncopations.
