This is an awesome explanation of skin tones and a very timely video for me. I just started painting this exact model several days ago. I’ve been thinking about the idea of painting details that aren’t sculpted, and since this model doesn’t have much sculpted muscle, I was thinking of trying to do just that. You gave me some ideas on how to go about doing that. Also some confidence. Great stuff!
@@1BigSpec Thank you so much for the kind words! Crazy timing! I honestly didn't think anyone out there was still painting minis for this game...just me. That's why I approached it as a general skin tone video, instead of a "how to paint this miniature" video. Thanks for watching!
@@ThrehaneMiniatures this is my first massive darkness mini in a long while, but I chose to paint it specifically to experiment and improve painting skin.
@@MrPigments I figured it would be a good idea to also direct viewers to someone who actually knows what they're talking about, instead of relying solely on the crazy shit that I'm saying! 😁

@@1BigSpec Very cool. I'm honored that you choose to check out my channel for reference!
This video should have way more views. Some great educational information here.
@@brophy9384 I appreciate that! If you have any critiques that for me to make my production better (more watchable/listenable), I'm all ears.
Great explanation!
@@iwasreloading1974 Thanks, man! Great to have you here in the comments!
Thanks for the shoutout, as always love the skin tone videos since they are always such a different approach to what is normally said or done.

@@ThrehaneMiniatures Lol, I havent the faintest idea what I'd saying either. You sound like you know what youre talking about to me.
@@MrPigments That's just the power of TH-cam, my friend. It makes anyone sound like an expert!
@@ThrehaneMiniatures Everyone is an expert when no one has any idea what they are doing. That's how I think about this stuff.
@@MrPigments Healthy attitude. That'll keep you sane in this crazy ass world.
