This is not new, not even close. Seen plenty of this style baits, usually one I find are fairly "older" baits that are discontinued ( obviously DUO has design changes) . But! I'd say a redesign and probably better action , casting , components etc.. Atleast that's usually the deal with JDM lures.

Did the flatfish walk like this one appears to do? It also looks like a bigger thunderhawk a10. The thunderhawk is often compared to the flatfish as well. It definitely doesn't walk the way this thing appears to.

I ask because if you look at OSP's video for the duckbill posted 3 months ago at the 2:20 timestamp you will see what this bait does when it is reeled fast. I don't think the flatfish swims like that. From the videos I can find from multiple manufacturers, the flatfish dives and doesn't turn nearly as far from side to side. I like OSP baits and have good luck with them, but am not loyal to one brand. I also love to find unique older baits and would love to find something that swims like this.

A redesign would mean something new. No one is telling you have to buy anything but for those of us who fish a lot it is fun to try new things, colors or come back to old ones to keep things feeling fresh on the water. If not we all would be just throwing a wack worm, frog, and drop shot.
