    I like the clear and concise commentary. I have the 16 plate 1100rr I have been looking at a 2023 model. I like the updates. The new screen, LED lights, styling twets,the pillion seat and grab rail. The updated electronics and the blipper. Thanks again. Just makes perfect sense.

    Thanks for the review 👍 one additional diff compared to the factory is the rear sprocket. Yours has a 40 teeth, fact has a 42 and I would recommend fitting forged wheels. Helps a lot with the agility.

    • @sweetrides8418

      Hi Russell, mpg is not great, varied between 35-45 mpg depending on how it was ridden, I never had a problem with that though as it is so damn good to ride. Tank range was between 120 to 160. Can’t quote exact seat height, but I’m 5’9 with a 32 leg and had no issues. If you buy one believe me you won’t be disappointed 😀

    I have one of these. I traded a 2020 Superduke R Gen3 for it at Via Moto Sheffield which was discounted so there was little outlay to go from a 2 year old bike to a new one. My wife likes to ride pillion so that was a big factor in choosing this model as it has the grab rail. Biggest mistake was having the free Akra Can, decat & Race Map at the 600 mile service. Its too loud even with the baffle in - the stock pile is the best of both worlds - quiet at slow speed/revs in villages & towns & a lovely sound when the revs rise & flap in the pipe opens above 5k revs. Thankfully I found an after market baffle for the Akra can & its more acceptable now.

    • @sweetrides8418
      @sweetrides8418  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Bruce, I generally don’t look to closely at economy on these style of bike, simply as most owners use them for fun and leisure rather than commuting, however the V4 Aprilia engine is known to be thirsty, hence why on this model they have fitted a different rear sprocket ⚙️ to lengthen the gearing. It didn’t appear to drink as much fuel as my old 2017 factory, but I couldn’t tell you how much difference it really made, sorry. Hi Cmac, I was a motorcycle instructor for 7 years and in my experience I find that once someone can control a bike that makes at least 60bhp, they can pretty much control anything. The issue is generally whether you can trust yourself not to ride beyond your ability, these are seriously quick bikes, but also are incredibly stable and have fantastic brakes and electronic safety systems. Hope that helps 😃

    • @sweetrides8418

    • @sweetrides8418
      @sweetrides8418  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi, I've not had any overheating problems (like some Ducati's) and calmer riding or cruising is fine. I'm currently testing a Triumph Street Triple 765 RS which is a similarly styled bike but obviously a smaller engine, so far I have been really impressed and it seems to have enough power for fast road riding and the engine is smooth and torquey at all speeds. Too be honest although I love the Tuono, I'd save yourself a few K and have a look at the Triumph.

    • @JonSaperia
      @JonSaperia 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sweetrides8418 I am considering one of these as well as the BMW s1000r or XR. Because of the faring and windshield, I would say they are a bit different than the Street Triple 1200 RS (I know this is not what the OP was looking at). The XR is a different bike and so we can discount that for a moment - it really is closer to a touring bike or sport touring. One thing I am interested in since you commented on it is how it does on bumpy roads. We have a lot where I live here and it is one reason I am trading my Speed Twin 1200 which is a great bike but it does get unsettled a bit on bad roads. How would you say the Tuono V4 does.

    • @sweetrides8418
      @sweetrides8418  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Street triple 765 is probably the best balance of weight and power, a great handling bike, plus great value for money, but you do have to rev it hard to get the best out of it. The Aprilia has a lot more power on tap, tonnes of torque, but won’t handle quite as well. Both great bikes, just slightly different flavours 👍

      Hi Szymond, that’s a difficult one, they are both great bikes, I find the display and switch gear simpler and easier to use on the KTM, but I think the Aprilia is the better handling bike, the B4 engine is epic and sounds amazing, but I think I prefer the torque of the KTM.

    • @sweetrides8418
      @sweetrides8418  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hi Shane, those two bikes are very closely matched, but they achieve their goals in different ways. The Tuono is basically a sports bike with an amazing V4 engine and flat bars, it’s incredibly accurate and well suited to both road and track and is the more serious of the two. The Superduke was designed as a road bike (but will work on track too), its 1300 V-twin will have you grinning from ear to ear and for me is the better road bike. If you opt for the super duke try to get the Evo, the std R is fine, but the electronic suspension on the Evo takes it to another level. As always I’d recommend you test ride both bikes, but for me as a mainly road bike, the KTM just noses it, plus its just more fun 🤩

      That tuono he is riding is more touring than hyper naked. Factory tuono is comparable to super duke.
      If you go for super duke get one with tech pack. Otherwise it won't be that great.
