I’ve got a RS660 and I’m seriously considering it, would you know if the Triumph speed Triple or even the 765 street rs is a comparable if not a better option? I’m at my 5th bike and I’d like to get a very good one if not my last 😅 thanks for the review!❤

The Street triple 765 is probably the best balance of weight and power, a great handling bike, plus great value for money, but you do have to rev it hard to get the best out of it. The Aprilia has a lot more power on tap, tonnes of torque, but won’t handle quite as well. Both great bikes, just slightly different flavours 👍

I put the 475 in mine, The exhaust noise was way to loud so I put on a supertrap (early morning starts, close neighbours), That supertrap exhaust made the engine feel very linier and in its power delivery. I consider the suspension and the brakes to be absolute junk, only made more apparent by the bump in horsepower.

Beautiful bike, I’d love to have another Harley. I can deal with all the things that are normal for an HD (buying an expensive bike that often needs some expensive upgrades to make it comfortable) except for lean angle. Just looking at my rides this past weekend I’m constantly upper 30s into the mid 40 degrees lean angle and I wasn’t riding aggressively. But, the bike is gorgeous and sounds awesome. The 475 is nasty in low revs i had the same issue and didnt enjoy it for everyday relaxed riding either Some people will argue you shouldnt have cammed it then but it is very possible to have a cam and not have to deal with that Its a known thing, not nice around roundabouts and if your cruising you now need to be a gear lower than before in higher revs using more fuel and being noisier to have it riding smooth… pain in the ass Its great at wide open throttle but not cruise friendly Youve already got all the other parts if you get over it just swap it to a cyclerama 483 or star 30/30 cam and it will ride much better They are close to what you have but will be smoother in the bottom Or if you really favour bottom end torque early the cyclerama 480 might suit you better but will sacrifice a tad off the top end compared to the 483 Plenty of vids around this on youtube Exhaust can affect this majorly and create torque dips aswell but the exhaust you have is a great option so shouldnt be an issue Welcome to the world of spending thousands on harleys, be careful its addictive 😂

Change the shocks. Change the pads for more bite. Change the tires to the Metzeler tires used in bagger racing. Adjust ride height on rear. On your corners at low speed with a cam in a Harley it is common to half clutch to take the chop out when riding. Just get used to it and you will not go back to a smooth cam. If you do want a smother cam with the same power go with the star 30/30.

Check my sound video if you want to compare to yours Its a Beautiful bike you have, but still cant understand why HD made the bags different sizes on those models , looks lop sided when you are following one , now side on , there is a big gap between your single pipe and bag ...

Nice, I'd recommend a different header for a bit more down low streetable torque and throttle response. Short length primary headers kill power below 3500 rpm, they're ok if you spend the majority of time in the upper registers of the rpm range but for normal street riding, long tube primary headers fit the bill. P.S. It's difficult to draw direct conclusions/comparisons with dyno numbers from H.D. and the aftermarket, Harley tends to show dyno numbers with restrictive cat pipes, lean fuel mixtures and retarded ignition timing (tuning)that are environmentally friendly whereas the aftermarket tends to show numbers with performance tuning and all the performance goodies added to gain as much power as they can to promote their products, not a real apple to apple comparison. Sweet bike btw.

@@sweetrides8418 The Redshift 468 is a "torque cam" much in the same way as the SE-447 and S&S 465 cams are, the stock 117 cam isn't that far off of the SE-447 cam specs wise, which is why Harley doesn't recommend it for the 117, there wouldn't be much of a performance gain. Before you decide to switch cams, I'd really recommend you switch to long tube primary headers and have the bike re-tuned/dyno'd, the S&S 475 cam is a good street "power" cam but like most other performance parts, they need to matched together to work in concert with each other, putting a cam designed to make power in a specific rpm range and another part optimized to make power in another rpm range is where power is lost. Good luck & ride safe.

What about fume or smell? I like my 475 cam because where i live is a lot of highway. But i cant even ride in regular cloths to even go to the supermarket. Tried retuning but nothing. I love the power of it but kind of regret some stuff. Does this happen to you? The tunning was done by a respectable man in the harley realm in florida. So i kind of guess thats the trade off.

Hi Simon, I've not noticed any fumes or smells, when I riode the bike alone I love it, but if I try cruising with the Harley guys its hard work. I'll see how I get on but I might end up trying to find some middle ground with a calmer cam that still gives the bike a bit of a boost, after all it wasn't too bad in stock form.

My bike with a downloaded tune was fumy to the point the guys I ride with were complaining about it, I could smell fuel all the time, The bike was also surging so I figured there was to much fuel being dumped in the engine. Anyway, Got it on the dyno, No fumes, no smell, Power very direct and controlled.

On a recent long trip a few guys mentioned fumes to me after that had followed me, it’s already been dyno’d so I think it’s just an unavoidable result of the massive valve overlap on that cam

Beautiful bike.. I agree with your assessment of the 475 cam... great power but the bike is never relaxed. I went with the Zippers 468 cam for that reason...great hp and tq, but better on gas and not as annoying at slower speeds.

Hi, I've not had any overheating problems (like some Ducati's) and calmer riding or cruising is fine. I'm currently testing a Triumph Street Triple 765 RS which is a similarly styled bike but obviously a smaller engine, so far I have been really impressed and it seems to have enough power for fast road riding and the engine is smooth and torquey at all speeds. Too be honest although I love the Tuono, I'd save yourself a few K and have a look at the Triumph.

@@sweetrides8418 I am considering one of these as well as the BMW s1000r or XR. Because of the faring and windshield, I would say they are a bit different than the Street Triple 1200 RS (I know this is not what the OP was looking at). The XR is a different bike and so we can discount that for a moment - it really is closer to a touring bike or sport touring. One thing I am interested in since you commented on it is how it does on bumpy roads. We have a lot where I live here and it is one reason I am trading my Speed Twin 1200 which is a great bike but it does get unsettled a bit on bad roads. How would you say the Tuono V4 does.
