All three have been great. I’m pretty confident they will do great at the Summer Festival.

I love these videos so much and I think you could benefit a lot by using a small microphone :)

Thank you for your wonderful videos I’m working on target/clicker training with my untamed parent raised cockatiel I’m not making much progress in 3 month he will on come on my hand if my palm is faced down like a shelf on his perch. I bought your book can you please show me how to hold clicker, target stick and food all in my hand properly? I have to do this in his cage as he’s untamed and I keep getting my hands twisted up trying to do everything, I do have my clicker taped to my target stick. My hands aren’t coordinated.

At first you can keep your clicker and target in separate hands. Particularly for targeting around a cage. Eventually you’ll want to target onto your free hand so you will want to have all 3 in one hand. You can see it pretty good in this video:

@@All-Parrots PLEASE HELP ME!!! I’m so sorry for the long reply but I’m about ready to give up, thanks but the cage door isn’t that big and targeting sometimes doesn’t reach through bars where I want him to go and he’s not willing to follow it where I want him to go, it’s very clumsy holding everything even when he’s hungry for millet he doesn’t really want to move around the cage to target to my hand, we try every couple of hours, like I said before he will go on top of my hand palm down but once my slightly moves on the perch he freaks out gets off my hand and goes back to perch he’s always hesitant to do this not willingly, for the life of me I can’t get him to step up to hold on my fingers this is working with him daily all day long for three plus months, he’s about 9 months now, I feel I’ve exhausted everything that’s why I bought your book my last hope. I’m with him all day long in the same room I’m retired and work from home. I work with him every few hours in the cage when he’s out of the cage he flies window to window hang on to the blinds and does not cooperate it’s pointless since he flies away from me this is in my bedroom where I sleep and work. Once he’s out he won’t even step up on my flat hand with millet and a clicker that he will do in his cage. Last night he wouldn’t go back to his cage it was dark, I had a light near his cage I tried a couple of perches to coax him to step on nope he would fly over them, continually flying window to window and it’s dark except light near cage. I found a light dishcloth I through over him to get him, he screamed and flew out I attempted again same thing. He stepped away from me so I herded him towards his cage it’s like he was scared of me his bedtime is 8 pm until 10am. It was almost 9:30 am before I herded him back in his cage. I’m supposed to have shoulder replacement surgery in two weeks I was hoping he would be stepping up by now. Should I get his wings clipped or will this make it worse? he’s in molt, he is difficult to catch with a cloth, I bought a travel cage how would I even get him to the vet without losing trust which has taken almost 4 months? Thank you for everything and have a wonderful week your parrots are awesome, your a wonderful trainer. I wish you had something in Orange County California.
