Thanks for the video, tips, and easy comments. I have a 2023 BKC PK-14 14' Angler Sit-on Top Tandem Fishing Kayak with up to 2 Neralls Kayaka Series NRS-36-L Electric Outboard Trolling Motors that get 36-lbs of thrust, 6.5 km/hr. I am a novice to fishing in the Inshore bay/estuaries or bayous but your video has taught me a few new fishing techniques, use of staking in through the cupper hole in the kayak as opposed to an anchor. Love your setup, skilled fishing, humane fish catching & release techniques & treatment.
ATTENTION NEW SUBSCRIBERS: Your host Mark will provide you with great fishing tips and fishing gear recommendations to help increase your fishing experiences!!! My vouch to helping you!
I use a Lew’s Custom Lite shallow spool and Bates LTS. I never spray them down with anything. I found that when I rinsed them they broke down prematurely. This being said, I take great care to not get them wet or splash saltwater on them.
You should start fishing some kayak tournaments. You’ll have to put the ultra-lite gear away but it’ll cause you to become a different caliber of fisherman. Plus, I think you would do pretty well.
@ tournament fishing isn’t just about locating the fish needed and coaxing them to eat. There’s a factor of getting them landed as fast and efficient as possible to minimize the risk of the fish coming unbuttoned, being over stressed or even dying. Only live fish live to fight another day so there’s a hefty penalty for a dead fish.
Longtime fan. Never gets old. And the catch and cooks give great ideas
Thanks for the amazing support!
Thanks!

How deep is the channel there? Wondering if I can hit some of those areas with a boat? I’m good for about 18”-2’.
On average it’s 18” or so.
How about a day chasing trout and winter flounder?
Most definitely as it gets colder.

Been using the Costa Tuna Alleys for years. They’re the best 👍
Would love to know more about you reel. 100 size I know but what kind and how do you clean it after a trip. Thank you.
Just rinse it off with the hose after every trip, put a little gun oil on them periodically and they’ll last forever.
@ yeah I use Remington gun oil. Thx.
