Such an underrated film and imo one of the best modern war films. Got a history teacher who served in Afghanistan and Iraq and he told us that the biggest killers were IEDs cos the taliban can’t aim for shit. IEDs were responsible for 80% of British casualties and I feel it’s something that wasn’t really mentioned in most modern war films.
I would be interested on you giving your extended thoughts on movies you love like Blade Runner and give your thoughts on the symbolism and the aspects of the movie you love.
I feel like this series of videos would work really well if you reviewed relatively unknown and underrated movies because I had never heard of this movie and I'm now about to (100% legitimate and not illegally) watch this movie
I struggled with understanding some dialogue, not because of the accents, but because of their laboured voices. It made sense in the film but it wasn't pleasant as a viewer.
Do the tv show "bazzarvarks" fucking terrible. If you dont want to watch the show then just look at the IMDb page for it. And if you do want to watch the show, just watch the first ep.
Just watched it..great movie. Hope you keep the reviews coming because they are spot on and I only watch films on occasion so love to enjoy them rather than waste my time. Any fav movies please reply all. :)
Try and watch Phone Booth, it isn't the greatest movie ever but I like it and have watched it around 9 times now. Not sure why but it just keeps grabbing my attention. I also must say I like this format, it gives you a bit of rest in the editing department while still making your opinion clear.
Ruben and Alex, you both seem to have a strong distaste for war. Of course I loath war and know how horrid it is, but it seems as if you are unable to even enjoy fictional about warfare. What's the story behind this? Is it a British mentality? I'm a Yank who owns guns, that may explain the divide here.
I'm a british person and yeah, i'd say that's a british mentality, might stem from the fact that the uk was one of the allied countries that was heavily bombed in the second world war. Mind you I could be full of shit so asdgfagabalafg

Holy shit, haven't actually watched the video yet, but just glad to see people have watched this film
One I'd recommend for you guys. 'The Guest' directed by Adam Wingard. Similar vibes to Drive.
It'd be nice to see your opinion on Whip Lash and District 9.
Next movie you should do is Rampage (2009), published by Phase 4 films, the same company as Cool Cat and Frozen Land.

They should do a review for Anomalisa. I think Alex mentioned it a couple of months ago in one of his videos
Recently watched an extremely dark, gritty World War 2 movie called Come and See. Probably one of the most horrific films I've ever seen.
Kajaki is intense as fuck. Great movie.

Check out (the lobster) with colin farrell. Wonderful movie I think you guys would enjoy.
Boring video, couldn't understand a word. Next time these JAR guys should hire American actors.
Shit son, if people thought American Sniper was propaganda then they need to experience Michael Bay's own anti-Clinton war flick that is 13 Hours.
Just thought of a cool name for this series. You should call it "re:view"
You should watch 12 Years a Slave
I struggled with understanding some dialogue, not because of the accents, but because of their laboured voices. It made sense in the film but it wasn't pleasant as a viewer.
