@@RealaryVR Hey there. Is this possible for Windows Builds to, or only "Android" Builds ? I do not develop for Android, i need a Passtrught / Emmersive toggle possibility, and Windows Build support.
It's worked for absolutely everything besides for the passthrough itself. The controllers are there and work, but the screen just stays black. I'm fixing any errors presented to see if it'll help
I don't even game dev but I got curious about how passthrough would be enabled in game engines, expecting a 40 min tutorial just to close it and forget about it. But this video was so straight forward that now I might give it a go
Great tutorial! Just wanna mention to any other viewers that this won't work in the editor. You would need to make a build and sideload it on your quest 2.
Nice video, thanks. I'm missing something though, background stays black, no passthrough. Any idea if there were changes with oculus integration kit v50?
Not bad, thanks for posting this! Though did not get it to do passthrough... guess a lot of things changed so far got it working but all black... on a quest pro... any idea what it might be?
same on a quest 2. There were some issues on the oculus checklist in settings, not least the black background was not transparent! Finally I have an AR example that actually works, even the unity samples wouldn't work for me.
Hello Realary and my fellow devs, I'm a game developer working with Oculus quest 2 / quest pro in unity. I've been trying to get passthrough to work but it wont work. I'm using unity 2021.3.6f, using Oculus Integration tooolkit v44(latest). If I set placement as Underlay in the OVRPassthroughLayer, i only see game objects but no passthrough. And if i change it to Overlay, I see the passthrough perfectly, but no other game objects in the scene. What am I doing wrong? Can someone please guide me in the right direction? Need help please 🙂
Hi ! Firstly thanks for your video. I want to ask question about passtrough. What is the name of application that allow sketching on real environment while using oculus quest in the begginging of the video?
Hello! Thanks a lot for your video. Do you happen to know how to apply post processing to gameplay? I want to add desaturation and blurring to the post processing passthrough gameplay to match the look of the gameplay to the Quest 2 camera video. I've tried connecting the standart post processing component to the camera, but it doesn't work.
Hi, this works like charm, thanks! I have a few question. It should work with colours in Quest Pro? May do you have experience with it? If I add hand tracking and objects to the scene and I start interacting with them, then passthrough should work still in the background?
Glad to help! I haven't tried it on Quest Pro, but I'm pretty sure it should. And yes adding hand tracking and objects is just like you would without passthrough it all works. Best of luck!
@@RealaryVR Finally I tried to develop the project on Quest 1 and it works nicely, but on Quest Pro it's freezing as hell (I have more interactables in the project, not only the pass through view). May are there any special settings which could cause these problems?
First of thanks a lot for your tutorials! One issue that I keep having is, that everything I place in the space slightly moves as i move through the Space, this breaks the illusion of objects being anchored in AR. Is anyone else having this issue? What am I doing wrong? Please Help!
Hey Simon! I haven't come across this issue myself, but I have seen someone post something about having the same problem. It could have to do with your calibration and sensors in the headset itself. Try cleaning the lenses on the headset with a soft cloth and restarting the headset and see if that helps.
i love how this little 3 minute quick intro actually took my rig like an hour of downloading and compiling from scratch 😅
This clear, simple "Hello world" app for passthrough on Oculus was just what I was looking for. Thanks!
Hi Justin, glad you found it helpful!

what do you do when you build it?
The video presentation was very neat. Thanks for the tutorial.🙂

For me my oculus quest 2 passthrough is like Pixelated is that normal i see people having really clear image and mine is like pixelated squares.

I am using unity version 2021.3.27f1 and i am getting black screen. may i know if there is any fix?
check if your scene is correct, had me bugging too

Great work man. Watched all of the videos and learned so much.
Cant wait to see more videos from you.
Thank you! I'm glad you found them helpful
Is there a way to add a Enable passthrough option inside the application itself ?
Great work. It is awsome tutorial, and also exactly what i needed to make my dream project come true. Thank you a lot for your work!
Thanks for the feedback, glad to help!
in 3.32F1 there is no listing for Oculus -> tools
this is really cool for a combo horror game/real life arg (im gonna see what i can with this knowledge) thanks for the video tutorials dude!
That's a great idea, good luck!
I see you using a Giant Virtual light switch to turn on an actual light. Do you have a tutorial on how to do that with here or on your site?
Hi, unfortunately not this was just a demo from Meta.
Thank you. Your video helped me a lot.
Hi Leo, glad it helped!
Does post processing work with this workflow?

How do you develop on macos? I thought quest link didn't work on mac, so I wasn't able to easily test my project via play mode.
I’m pretty new to dev for Oculus. Would this work if you were developing a world for VrChat or Banter?

hi, how to use passthrough in ue4
That was a quick video, nicely told!

To the point, thank you

Hey does this work in editor or after building ?
Hi Zoubaier! This method is for building. There is another way for doing it in editor.

Thanks! Yes it does, just set it up like you would normally.

Use the new Spatial Anchors feature in the presence platform tools, should be included in the Oculus SDK
amazing! Thanks man!
