at 0:18 the comparison is made with locked gopro manual exposure. This way the camera doesn't auto adjust the brightness when testing the TS32 and the SL1000. It's great for relative comparison of brightness but makes both them seem dimmer/darker than what they appear to the eye. At 6:13, I used auto exposure to show as close as possible, how it actually looks to a person.
If you could mount a light like this to a board and install a partial hood to block light from going upward and blinding others that would be cool. I think a mount using the screw holes would be ideal. Smaller secondary light on your helmet would work well too. I can’t see someone wanting to hold the flashlight in their hand while riding.
