thanks for this great video using common electrical tape.works for me. do you have a video of putting on small single foot guides, as lots of the newer rods for braid line tend to use these? same technique but smaller tape? thanks John
Tidy work. Iv'e had it on my mind for a while to experiment with the size and location of the first butt ring on an old rod so the method just using tape would be ideal .
Its not that easy to get hold of. I think i Got mine at summerlands tackles but they havent got any. A quick google search shows some on ebay so that might be a good option 👍
Great video, keep up the good work.
Thanks fishing Louisiana👍 appreciate it👍

I should do one. I use a dab of hot melt under the single foot

Just be aware that the further away from the reel and small the guide the higher the chance of line slap on the blank 👍
How about amalgamating tape..on larger rings...might be a bit bulky
Self amalgamating tape does get too bulky too quick and always looks untidy
Inthe first method which kind of tape did you utilised? thanks to reply
The tape used is insulation tape or electrical tape
@@gsp
therefore it's normal tape ? I was looking for a tape with epoxy inside.
Please could you tell me the best place to buy flex coat in the uk
